Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Diary of a tard: Week 3, May 2013

Sunday, May 12

Shingeki no Kyojin episode 5: The Colossal Titan has somewhat the magic to appear and disappear whenever they wanted to. Eren was about to attack the god damn motherfucker when it's disappeared and it seemed like they are quite intelligent. Since the wall has been breached, all the soldiers are required to stand guard. Most of them died, even Eren. Yes, Eren was eaten at the end of the episode. I can't fucking wait to see what Misaka would do. The only reason I'm not panicky is my friend Mulo has already spoiled me about Eren so I somewhat knew what to expect next and why my fujoshi friends are so into the Titans XD

Chrona versus a death scythe in chapter 83 of Soul Eater. Frodo and Comrade Tzar lost the fight and got caught in the madness. Stein brought Maka, Soul, and Kim to Moscow to check out what's going on. Maka and Soul tried to bring back the death scythe from madness but to no avail. Instead, Soul was caught in the madness as well because of the wound he got from his previous fight with the Black Blood. In chapter 84, Stein used Jacqueline to fight off Soul while being hugged by Kim and Maka. LOL he is so popular with the girls. While they fight, Soul was fighting within himself to gain control and of course he has no problem in doing so. As they were busy in Moscow, Chrona has taken over a town in Ukraine with her black blood.

Hmm, why does Soul always have to act all cool and stuff? Sometimes it's a turn off.
Yay new chapter of Hyakko! Chapter 43: Ah but who the hell is Alice? I must have forgotten all about her and for some unknown reason the mangaka thought that she deserved a chapter that's all about her. I'm pissed off to be honest because I just want to read about Torako and that dude that has a crush on her ww.

Ah no wonder Hyakko's update is so late. The mangaka has a new manga in progress: Abnormal-kei Joshi. I decided to check it out and man, this manga is all over the place but in a good way... I think? It's about this guy Shinya who dislikes girls but have them throwing themselves at him. One is a masochist, another is a stalker, a serial killer, a sleeping beauty and a protective knight. However, he's a sister-con and to add to the plot twist, his sister's teacher is a rapist and murderer and he's aiming Mei, his sister, to be his next target.

Monday, May 13

Episode 6 of Shingeki no Kyojin is dedicated to Mikasa's flashback, of how she became so cold and so attached to Eren. Well, I can't blame Mikasa. If I was her, I would have fallen head over heals over Eren too. He's so manry www.

Aku no Hana episode 2: Takao picked up Saeki's gym's uniform and brought it home. Nakamura, the girl sitting behind his desk apparently saw what he did and thus Takao's nightmarish days begin. I just fucking love Nakamura. She's so fucking eccentric she reminded me of me LOL

Wednesday, May 15

Episode 3 of Aku no Hana: Nakamura is awesome. She stripped down Takao inside the library and forced him to wear Saeki's uniform. Seriously, Takao was absolutely naked. LOL. Then she forced him to spend the rest of his after school with her. At the end of the episode, someone from the class lost her lunch money and everybody accused Nakamura. Somewhat, Takao has developed this feelings, whatever it may be, and so he defended Nakamura. Now everyone thinks he has a crush on her. Oh I really hope that is the case to be honest.

Lets continue with episode 4 of Aku no Hana, shall we? I think I'm in love with Nakamura. Her psychotic persona really resonates with me. I was thrilled when all she did was smile when she caught Saeki agreeing to go on a date with Takao on Sunday. That night, she stalked him at his house, dragged him a round town, gave him a slap across the face just to ensure that Takao will meet her before the date. Wanna know what she did? She asked him to wear Saeki's uniform underneath his clothes. Man, she's awesome like that XD

Thursday, May 16

Aku no Hana episode 5: All Nakamura did is instill some evil thoughts into Takao's mind and then she waited to see how he reacted to such evil thoughts. This time, she wanted Takao to kiss Saeki before the date ended but Takao asked Saeki to go steady instead. In her frustration, she threw a bucket of water over Takao's head and with the wet shirt, obviously Saeki can see her gym tee underneath. In order not to let her see it, Takao fled and went to meet Nakamura. After some persuasion, Nakamura decided that it would be amusing to see how shit will turn out between Takao and Saeki so she gonna sit back and enjoy the show.

Episode 6 of Aku no Hana: Nakamura spreads her evilness towards Saeki as well. She told Takao that Saeki wanted to have sex. Obviously Takao will start imagining some erotic stuff, that pervert. Hah!

Diary of a tard: Week 1, May 2012

Wednesday, May 2

The festival resumes in chapter 42 of Hyakko. New characters grace us with their present as they come to the school for the festival. The most important new character for this chapter is certainly Suzume's twin brother, Tsubame who is one mischievous boy. He became the tourist guide for the other new characters who are basically family members of the existing characters. They got distracted a lot by food and then come across Kitsune and Ayumi holding hand as they heading to somewhere. My heart literally jumps at this. Being a busybody, Tsubame and his new friends stalk them both. When they go their separate way, Tsubume doesn't waste any time to confront Kitsune and ask him what is going on. Kyaaaaah~ oh but wait a fucking minute. You know what? Hyakko pulled a fast one on us. Apparently Tsubame is dead. It was just Suzume playing dress up as her twin brother, thanks to Kitsune's suggestion when they were kids. Suzume apparently grows up with a dual identity. I'm not sure whether it's healthy or not but... if it's Kitsune's idea... (trololol). So this chapter pretty much focus on Suzume. We only get to see Torako at the end (apparently with Shishimaru by her side both dressed up in vampire theme outfit. wOOt~). Good chapter indeed.

I spotted Keima in between the pages LOL as well as that hat girl from Kujibiki Unbalance

Saturday, May 5

Episode 2 of Sakamichi no Apollon: Nishimi lets Kawabuchi comments on his music gets to him so he secretly played on the piano whenever his aunt is out of the house. Obviously he wants to impress Ritsu and feels like Kawabuchi is in the way of that. He couldn't be so wrong. Anyhoo, he was cornered by a bunch of bullies on his way back from school one day. Lucky for him Ritsu saw what was happening and reported to Kawabuchi who of course rescued him. Nishimi tried to salvage his male ego but oh boy he was clumsy and only became the joke of the day. I lol'd and loved him because of it. When they went back to Ritsu's shop, Brother Jun was already waiting and they (Kawabuchi and Ritsu's dad) didn't waste time to do a live session. Nishimi was dragged to play the piano and boy he enjoyed it a lot, especially when he thought he could have a date with Ritsu. Unfortunately it didn't go according to plan as Kawabuchi tagged along. Instead of the library they went to the beach instead. I must admit. I sorta envy the relationship between Kawabuchi and Ritsu. I had that once but then he just have to get married at an early age. This is where the show confirms Nishimi's feeling for Ritsu and how Kawabuchi met the love of his life. My BL heart breaks a little...

if you know what I mean

Daily Lives of High School Boys episode 5: (1) we all have done this: making up script as we look at other people interacting. Fun times indeed (2) Motoharu is bullied by his older sister's friends. No one can save him. (3) I couldn't help but LOL'd when Ringo was saved by the "hero" from them three unlucky kids, who think that she was being harassed. Instead of worrying about their well being, they continue to pretend as the bad guy in order not to embarrassed the hero. How noble. (4) Yoshitake and Hidenori met an old friend with a girl who looked mighty displeased. Turned out she was his sister who has lost her contact lenses LOL (5) Hidenori reminiscing his childhood hero who saved him from the bullies. Imagine his face when he found out that it was Yoshitake. (6) The literature girl yet again appeared at the river bank and Hidenori was pretty much crying inwardly for help. Oh man, I lol'd pretty hard for this one. Sugita just fits perfectly and he really did make the scene comes alive.

Diary of a tard: Week 3, December 2011

Sunday, December 11

I was bored and in no mood to watch anime so what did I do? I read yaoi. This time the title is Brothers and despite what you think this incest is totally legal since they are both from different parent and only becomes family because their parent married each other. After only two days of marriage, they died of plane crash (lol cliche) and thus leaving Christine (the Japanese older brother) and Wataru (the English younger brother) all by themselves. It took sometimes for the romance to bud but it gradually gets there but if you expect a hot steamy action, you'll be thoroughly disappointed. Final score (5/10)

this is as smut as it gets >_>

If you want smut, then I suggest you pick up Three and a Half. It's about 3 guys and a dog who live under the same roof. Two of them are bi while the straight guy is straight as you can think of, which mean he is a bit of a nerd too and rather be fucked by his dog than gets pleasured by a slut. But of course you already knew that the straight guy will eventually becomes gay and the three of them (plus the dog) will have a threesome (or a foursome if you want to include the dog - but I'm just saying). Turned out the straight guy has premature ejaculation and that's how the gay guys "helped". That's only the first chapter of the story though and since it's 3am and I have bread class tomorrow, the rest of the chapters have to wait.

Wednesday, December 14

Chapter 2 of Three and a Half: This chapter is called Dessin and featured different characters - Hibiki and Yuusuke who keep breaking up and make up but hey if the make up sex is great, why the hell not right? This chapter is pretty stupid overall but the sex was kinda hot.

Torso is the third chapter for Three and a Half and get ready for some really messed up shit. It's about a boy who fucked a mannequin. It wasn't even a full body mannequin, it was just a torso (and has dick - obviously). He fucked the mannequin senseless until he found an art student who has the same figure as the torso and made him watched he fucked the mannequin before he raped him. However, instead of getting angry, they ended up being real lovers. LOL I told you this one is messed up.

jeebus =|

I think I need a break from that. Thank goodness that Hyakko has finally update with chapter 41! The last chapter I read was back in May Orz. They did the Halloween theme for their school festival and it just one chaos after the other. To be honest, I was quite confused because it was just sort of all over the place, this chapter. I can't even differentiate Torako from the rest of the characters at first, that was how confusing it was. It definitely had something to do with all the costumes they were wearing. There were a lot of things that were revealed in this chapter.

  • We were introduced to Nagi Tanjou, one of the members from Ushio's group.
  • Suzume has a younger twin brother
  • Shishimaru Sengoku has a blast when accidentally both he and Toriko wore the vampire costume and Toriko ended up spending the day with him.
  • Amagasa Kyouichirou, the teacher was a student from that school and was one of the four deities known as the "wolfblade". He was pretty much a delinquent.
  • Kitsune once again saved Ayumi from getting harassed. How can I not think he likes her now? It was obvious she likes him >_>
  • They concluded the chapter with rock-on performance by the OOZ.

the simple joys of love ^_^

Friday, December 16

I barely catch up on my anime this week, aside from Working'!! and Fate/Zero. I am just simply not in the mood for it or perhaps I let the yaoi fangirl inside of me wins the argument every time. Same goes for tonight. I'm picking up another yaoi. The title is Kimi wo Watareba (translated to If I Can Cross to You). It's about Haginuma Yoshimori who traveled through time and ended up in Midou Ibuki's room. Apparently it happened a lot at the dorm, as was said by the manager. Haginuma was in love with his best friend from his era that looks like Ibuki. His best friend was the grandfather of Ibuki. So it was a perfect opportunity for him to get it on with Ibuki. He didn't waste any time at all. The only problem now is that when he went back to his era. Both of them would have been butthurt missing each other >_>

that took... less than 5 minutes >_>

Diary of a tard: Week 2, May 2011

Me and my fucked up scheduled. With just one week of vacation, I am already behind 3 weeks worth of anime. On top of that, I got food poisoning that shut down my body system for two days. Damn, time to catch up.

Wednesday, May 11

Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san episode 4 and 5. Grimiore gets on my nerves. He's not funny anymore, just obnoxious. I can't wait to see what Undine has in store. She managed to turn Hebi-chan into a fugly chic but of course her curse will be undone when she's happy so it only lasted for about a few minutes. It's enough for the pig NEET not to like her anymore though. Once again, Akutabe is such as awesome character in this one. I wonder if he's even human. Sarier is introduced in episode 5. He is an angel sent down to protect and guide lost soul but he's a fugly coward. He seriously doesn't like demon and ready to go to war with them. Akutabe summons Moloch who specialized in violence to help him solve a case. Unfortunately we didn't get to see him in action until the next episode.

Episode 4 of SKET Dance: They are making fun of cliche. This better be good. There's this girl who aspired to be a mangaka. She sees everything through her Otome filter and mistook Bossun as a bishie from shoujo manga. Nothing funny though but that is only the first half of the episode. In the second half, the client lost a Pelolin wrapper and they are hired to search for it. The gangster from episode 1 fell in love with the girl (the client in question) and was the one who found the wrapper. It might sound boring the progress takes turn to the funny. Kinda but not really.

Thursday, May 12

I'm hungry but since I am too lazy to go to the kitchen, I will watch Gintama instead. Episode 146: The conclusion of Yoshiwara Burning arc. It was kinda of cliche but fuck it this is Gintama so all is forgiven. I am more interested with Kamui though. He'll be back for Gin.Guess what, Abuto still alive so he learned how strong Kagura is now. Interesting indeed. After the fight, Gin met with Kagura and Kamui's dad where he warned Gin about his son. He asked Gin what will his choice be if he had to fight Kamui in front of Kagura since despite the badmouthing that she does, she still wants to save him. Gin did not say a word which make the plot thickens even more. Awesome.

Friday, May 13

Ano Hana episode 4 invokes so many emotions when it comes to Yukiatsu. I love it.

The last time I read the chapter of Amatsuki was back in July 2010. So phailed. Chapter 51: Utsubushi comes to Toki rescue but he quickly captured by Kurotobi. Demon isn’t allowed inside the temple after all. Beni-san comes afterward to bring Toki and Tsuruume away leaving her brother Kurotobi to fight with Utsubushi. Heh but let’s not forget Tsuyukusa. Beni-san sends Toki and Tsuruume away so that she can move freely against Tsuyukusa. Fuck, I’m nervous for him because I know Beni-san is someone you don’t mess around with.

I want a Tsuyukusa plushie too!

Holy fuck yes, Hyakko update! Chapter 40: School Festival is coming up so they are having a discussion of what to organize. The lesbian class president suggested a maid café and the boys gladly agreed and from there it branches off to many other ideas. This chapter is not much but we can see how real the situation is when a fujoshi gets excited at the thought of Tokeo crossdressing, a girl otaku looking forward to cosplay as maid, a robot maniac overjoyed at the thought of making a mecha Kamen Battle 00 play, etc. They ended up doing a Halloween theme party for the whole school. Now I look forward to the festival.

Saturday, May 14

A quick watch before my trip to Kuala Lumpur in one hour. I still haven't showered yet. Orz but whatever, X-Men episode 5: Hisako is getting on my nerves. Was her voice has always been this annoying? Professor X offers Emma to be one of the X-men (and Hisako as junior X-man) but of course Scott is against it though no one listens to him. So he takes out his frustration with Hisako. He trains her with such a bad ass attitude. Heh. Since Hisako is such a weak shit, Emma finally agree to let Charles do a mind dive under the condition that everyone get to see it. In doing so she proves herself innocent and has nothing to do with Jean's death. So now that everyone is happy, they go to Japan again to deal with the secondary mutation.

02 January 2011

Diary of a tard - Week 5, December 2010

Sunday, December 26

Chapter 39 of Hyakko: It's all about Ayami. We get to know more about her from Konomi and Ayumi POV. She doesn't have that many friends back in elementary school simply because the other girls were jealous of her and she was clueless about it. Konomi no longer go to the same school as Ayumi though. One day she received an invitation from Ayami to go to the Shion Festival at her school. She decided to go with Maiko and that's that. So we will see some reunion in the next chapter. I can't wait!

Star Driver episode 12: The Glittering Crux needs Takuto's libido for one of their cybody. This should be fun, right? Obviously everyone will try to get in his pantsu now. The first to try was Watanabe. Finally she's up for the fight and what a fucking worthy opponent. Fist fight is the best after all. Reminded me of Fight Club, really. On the other hand, OH SHIT Sugata and Head! I have got a feeling that Sugata/Samekh will fall into his hand which mean Takuto/Tauburn is fucked up.

Damn you, Watanabe

Ko's dad sent someone to investigate Nino in episode 6 of Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge. Then the Mayor came to the rescue just like he did in season 1. There's no proved yet that he's the mayor but I recognized the voice. So Nino was contacted my her parents and had to leave the river bank. She asked Ko to join her. Ko of course couldn't possibly took her seriously. Even if he did think about marriage, he didn't realized that Nino opened her arms for everyone to come and join her. Anyway, this is the first time I see Nino expressing her joy by punching people. Win. Also, I think the mangaka has Nino's secret in his stalker diary. He's not even kidding about the scuba dive.

I’ve decided to semi marathon Durarara so tonight I’m watching episode 10-12 and boy it was a fucking ride. Never did I expect that Ryuugamine Mikado is the founder of Dollars. That was just… holy shit. And then the girl with Yagiri is actually Hajima. She’s not dead yet. She just had plastic surgery by Shinra and made her looked like Selty. The headless Selty obviously knows that Shinra knew where her head is all these years and confronted him. I was initially afraid for him but the confrontation turned to love confession on both side. Isn’t it nice to have that kinda of love that defies the reality and common boundaries? I want my love to be like that if not that of Mikiya and Shiki. I have decided that my favorite characters from this show so far are Izaya, Kida and Shinra :3

Seikimatsu Occult Academy episode 8: Maya and Ami was in the middle of making up when a motherfucking ugliest chupacabra ever showed up and took Ami away while drinking her blood. The rest of the episode turned to a ghost buster event. Even Abe impressed me in this one. Somehow this has to do with the vice principal. I was thinking where has she run off too actually.

Monday, December 27

Another episode of Seikimatsu Occult Academy. The vice principal has some serious gift. She could summon the dead. Instead of summoning the former principal, she summoned Akari, a little girl. After the class, the girl still lingered. Apparently she’s a poltergeist. She frozen to death so Maya and the guys are helping her out.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II episode 5: The bitches with pen in their ears are fucking crazy but that didn’t stop the good guys from kicking their asses. Apparently even Ursula didn’t know how to decipher the magic book. She has been deceived all along into believing that she can. Pathetic. The fight between Touma and that flat-chest commander was entertaining at least. As usual he over exerted himself and got himself admitted to the hospital again.

Episode 4 of Togainu no Chi: There are really nothing interesting in this episode. Rin sharing his food, Shiki out on a night hunt, Rin attempting to rape Akira… you know the usual boring stuff. Except the part were Akira is fighting Shiki for the first time. I had a b0nar.

kissu kissu kissu!

Who knows when was the last time I read Zettai Karen Children. Catching up to the manga now. Hyobu did all that to Yuri so that she'll be free from Black Phantom. I couldn't help but love him when he pent out his frustration Minamoto. In the new arc, I'm glad that the kids are beginning to take the idea of dating and kiss seriously. It will just make things more interesting. But that's not all, now the Children will involve with the negotiation between Japan and the fag's country. So Sakaki and Minamoto went a date with Mamiji to get to know Muscle weakness. In the middle of it, Feather interrupted them and kidnapped Minamoto. She brought him to tsubomi’s room with huge bed. I know where this is going and it piss me off. Served Minamoto right though. He’ll be in a lot of hell next week. Just when he kissed Feather, Kaoru jumped in. Phailed.

Tuesday, December 28

Otome Youkai Zakuro final episode: Daidai is dead. Served her right for helping the spider bitch. I facepalmed when they couldn't harm the bitch even with their numbers. With just three words Agemaki managed to pull Zakuro back to life. Reminds me of Disney's movies really. And thus she saved the day. What happened to all the stupid vows to protect her? They ended up getting the protection. Again. The village is in ruined but Omodaka decided to stay with the dead mother but not really. AA MOAR DAKKA!!! Now with Hanadate/AA MOAR DAKKA gone, the soldiers have been relieved of their duty with the half spirits. Naturally the parting will leave everyone upset but it made for a decent final episode. I can't complain much when it comes to Agemaki and Zakuro so yeah. That's the end of it (though the soldiers were back in no time). Final verdict? I was spot on so the score remained 8.5/10 :)

AAA MOAR DAKKA!!

The best part of the whole episode

Episode 10 of Seikimatsu Occult Academy: Maya is still bothered about Akira and tried her best to help the kid. She went to Akira's dad again and this time got to hear what really happened. Apparently Akira was waiting for Santa out in the cold. That's how she ended up frozen to death. I told you Santa is evil. So they organized a Christmas party in Summer and her dad showed up as Santa. Problem solved. On the other hand, just as Abe/Mikaze was about to confess their love, the vice principal showed up but in the end both lost to Maya as Abe started to develop feelings for her as well. This is the first time I think Maya made herself vulnerable in front of Abe. Also she doesn't hate anymore now.

Wednesday, December 29

I have decided to complete Seikimatsu Occult Academy tonight. Better do it now while the story is engaging than later when I have lost interest. Watching episode 11, I had this sudden feeling that Mikaze might turn out to be some evil chick the way she's forcing herself on Abe. I mean, that was seriously a wet kiss. Also the VC might be looking out for Maya all along. And whaddaya know bingo! I was right, as usual >> The bicth was a black mage and the VC the white mage. The bitch is planning to kill Maya and Abe, being a horny SOB that he is agreed to help. Well kinda. More like he was brain-washed. I felt sorry for the VC when the bitch killed her. Maya and Abe managed to seal the bitch away in episode 12. Unfortunately though the future doesn't changed. Episode 13 revealed that everything actually depends on Abe himself. The meeting of the future him and the smaller him is the Nostradamus Key. Oh shit. He pretty much sacrificed his future for the sake of the world. Maya ended up taking care of little Abe after that. I want to see them badly towards the end of the episode though but alas. Anyhoo, that was an amazing character development for Abe not to mention some serious animation going on. I just love A1-Pictures. Final verdict: It started at 9 and will end at 9 :3

wet kiss indeed >=3

LOL at Kozue :DD

Di[e]ce chapter 11: They were riding the merry go round and Naoto definitely remember something when he saw his mother arguing with himself. He refused to tell Kazuki about it at first but after he confessed that he like him, he opened up. Now he got another clue. Off to the Ferris wheel they go. Naoto thought that he has found his mother then but Kazuki got a feeling something is not right. They ended the chapter with a cliffhanger.

BL moment alert :D

Next on the agenda is catching up Karneval. Chapter 25: Hirato had a conversation with Akari about the case from last chapter. Just as planned, the second ship where Yogi, Gareki, Jiki and Nai are will be going to Vantnam and joined with Hirato. They took the opportunity to go shopping but ended up getting hired as guards for a brat named Yanari. I think at one point Yogi wants to confess his feelings towards Gareki but got interrupted. Hmm... In chapter 27, Hirato and Tsukumo went to a meeting to investigate some shady business. It just so happened that Yanari is the son of the company that's hiring them. Hirato had to play along and manhandled Gareki. If you asked me, he just wanted an excuse to do that XD

My Top 10: Anime of the Decade

I already did anime of the decade last year but I was lazy and I actually focus more on OVA and movies in that one instead of TV series. Having said that, I am completely right with my choice of anime show and I adamantly stand by it.

This list, just like previously, is not ranked. Instead, this list consists of anime that doesn't necessarily top the chart when it was debuted nor was popular but it has a profound effect on me as an animetard and molded me to become the kind of anime fan that I am now.

Samurai Champloo (Spring 2004)

(c) hibiki

I have always been fascinated with Samurai theme ever since I watched Samurai X. Samurai Champloo was the first anime DVD that I bought. I have no freaking idea what it was about when I bought it. I know it has samurai in it and that's all my knowledge of the show was. I bought it because I thought that the theme was right and the art style was definitely something fresh. This was before I've seen Cowboy Bebop, mind you. So I watched it and was totally fell for Mugen. The way the story was told definitely something that I have never seen before. It set up quite a high par for any other anime that I want to spend my money on.

The best thing is, or rather a misfortune, I bought Samurai Champloo DVD three times. The first DVD I bought was lost during the moving to our new house. So I bought another one. My dad borrowed it and took it with him when he was working off-shore in China. He lost it. So I had to buy the DVD for the third time and this time around it is off limit to anyone. The DVD is definitely one of my prized possession.

Thanks to Samurai Champloo I got interested with other anime from Shinichiro Watanabe and that was how I ended up loving Cowboy Bebop, Mitchiko e Hatchin and Ergo Proxy. I love the dark story with lots of dorama I guess.

Bleach (Fall 2004)

http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=90533

I am no longer watching the anime. Just a loyal fan to it's manga but I plan on catching up to the anime some time soon. You see, I watch anime far in between before Bleach made it's debut. I bought anime DVD occasionally and most of the anime I watched was the one on national television which pretty much were just the 90's anime most of the time. It was like they had the Dragon Ball series on repeat.

It was only after I discovered Bleach that I know what an avid fan really is because I obviously become one in no time at all. Lets admit that the Soul Society arc led us to believe that Kubo Tite is a genius. I just couldn't get enough of Bleach.

It was this series that sparked my interest with manga. Before that I never bother. Through Bleach, I got to know some of the most amazing people I have ever met through facebook. Bleach unites us. It is because of Bleach too that I started taking real interest with other anime. That was how my obsession with anime started. I started downloading anime in chunk one after the other. It just so happened during that time I have just started working from home which mean I had plenty of time to spend on my new found hobby. I marathon any anime that had my interest. Some were great, some were not so much. This is how I learned about what genre I love and dislike and it has thought me a lot. Through Bleach I also started my figures collection and becomes not only obsessed with the whole show but of my shipping as well. I started writing fanfics and despite how many years it has been I still only write Bleach fanfics. I can't immerse myself with other series or characters like I can with Bleach. I've tried once but it turned out to be so superficial I abandoned it.

So you see, there was a lot of first with Bleach. Despite of the shit that Kubo trolled us with after the Soul Society arc, I am still a fan of this series to this very day otherwise it won't have it's own category in this blog. It would be a very sad day for me when Bleach eventually comes to an end. Thank goodness it is not for at least another 2 years :)

Genshiken (Fall 2004)

If Bleach made me an anime fan, Genshiken thought me what being an otaku is all about. It made me fall in love with the culture I guess. It opened my eyes of what it means being an otaku in Japan and how it was seen from a foreign point of view. It also introduced me to Akihabara, cosplaying and doujinshi. It made me aware of the conventions that I never thought exist. A place for all tards to gather around? It makes me want to go to at least one convention and after all these years, I finally managed to go to one this year. Above all else I learned that you do not mess with an otaku for any reason at all.

When I saw this, I was at the point in my life where I don't really know what I want to do with my life and pretty much content with the fact that I am a borderline hikikomori. I was totally unsociable. I only go out when I needed to and at one time had not had a conversation with real life person for almost a month. I locked myself in a room doing nothing but watch anime, reading manga, writing fanfics and occasionally tend to my workload. This continues for almost 4 years. It was awesome as fuck.

I kicked myself sometimes when I thought of the decision I made to actually get my life together for a change. Curses!

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (Fall 2004)

(c) Robographer

I am truly aware of how Gundam fans perceived this show, especially that of SEED fans. They thought it was a phailed attempt. Shit it may be for others but this is the show that truly made me interested in mecha. My like or dislike for a show is strongly stemmed on whether or not I enjoy the story and the characters. Even though I think highly of SEED but Kira and Cagalli pissed me off so much I found myself raging at it most of the time.

I might fell for this show for all the wrong reason but it doesn't changed the fact that I thought the characters were far more awesome when they get into their Gundam. I have already fangirling about this show before so I'm not going to do it again here.

I am still not a big fan of mecha. I still can't name all the gundam even if you pointed a gun to my head but thanks to Destiny, I have learn to appreciate it a little bit more.

Gintama (Winter 2004)

(c) kaninn

Do noted that I saw Gintama after I watched Bleach. I was expecting a shounen anime but was presented with something that was totally whacked I couldn't help but fall in love with it. This is the anime that set the par for comedy for me. The randomness just totally blew me away. I have said over and over again that this show is THE GREATEST GAR SHOW ever. Gin has fought with aliens, the authority, your grandmother, you named it he has done it. Not to mention that thanks to Gintama, I fall hard for Tomokazu Sugita. I never paid attention to seiyuu before but because of this show, I am slowly turning into a seiyuu fag.

So imagined how sad and in rage I was when I found out that Gintama has come to an end. I mean seriously, I have never been so worried about my sanity like I was then. I thought it was another scam of theirs but the anime fandom was buzzing about the truth in it, I was left flabbergasted. Around the same time, they announced the movie date so that helped ease my trouble mind a little. I kept rewatching the old episodes to keep me a tad sane. Then earlier this month Glo came bearing the good news. The world is okay again and I am no longer tempted to do homicide.

I know that this does not sound significant to you but think of it this way. If someone asked you what is your favorite anime of all time, and this or that anime popped up instantly in your head, you know that it got to mean something to you. I have always trust my guts and there is no way I'm gonna turn my back on it now.

Gintama has helped me with all sorts of life problems. It has become my source of power to put my depression away and move on with life. I think I have become a stronger person because I can laugh my problems away watching this show. It doesn't necessarily solved my problems but it made me realized that these problems are not worth crying over for, that life is actually worth living :)

Sensitive Pornograph (Winter 2004)

If you have paid any attention, you know that yaoi is like my guilty drug. It all started when I came across this particular show. This show started my obsession with BL/yaoi. Before I knew what happened, it has taken over my life. LOL sounds so dramatic but it is the truth. I become bolder. Exploring about sex in general (only in theory of course) and accepting few things that surprised even myself. Words won't do justice but I'm gonna leave this one at that. I doubt GAR men can handle what's on my mind most of the time >=3

Honey and Clover (Spring 2005 & Summer 2006)

(c) chika umino

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not good with romance or relationship but the irony is I am a sucker for romace if it is done right. That's why my fanfics always turned up with romance theme in it. Not shoujo though (because I dislike shoujo) but romance. There's a difference.

Before Honey and Clover, I don't usually picked up anime with such theme. I thought that if I want drama, then I just watched all the Japanese drama that I have in my possession. But I am glad that when I decided to start watching romance theme, I started with this particular show. It just left me in awe with it's mind blowing craft. From the story telling, to the comedies and the dorama. It tells real story with real characters. That was the most appealing side of this show in my opinion.

This show has become the gateway anime for shows with similar theme like Lovely Complex and White Album.

Honey and Clover made me realized that my friends were not at fault when we drifted apart. It just part of having a life is all about. We don't always get what we wanted but it's either we cherished the moment we had that counts. It allowed me to remember all the good times me and my friends had instead of why we didn't regularly get in touch with each other anymore.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Spring 2006)

(c) sugimasa

I never thought that I would see the exact copy of myself (minus the Godly power) in anime. When I first saw Haruhi, the realization just smacked me right in the face and made me into an overnight fan of her and this show. I am just as obsessed with Kyon like Haruhi is obsessed with him. Sometimes it is scary and thrilling to realized how similar our taste and personality are.

Back in high school, people (mostly girls) generally don't want to be friends with me. I'm cool with that. I have my own set of friends (just like Haruhi has her SOS Brigade members) to keep me happy an entertained during my school years. The same happened when I got into college. After that I just don't give a fuck anymore and became a borderline hikikomori.

I am constantly want to try out something new. Always planning the next big things in my life or just do something that I have never done before. I graduated with an IT degree. Work for about 8 months before I got bored with the shit. Then I started writing and it opened up to an endless world of adventures for me from motorsports to anime and everything in between. After that I started learning how to make dresses out of boredom and end up with a business under my belt. Now I'm in an advertising business slashed event management where I got to mingle and hang out with local artists and such. The passion last for about a year and a half and I am already bored with it. I have mega project in my mind for next year and if it comes to fruition, then I'm saying goodbye to this glamorous life. See what I mean? I need someone who can keep up just like Kyon is with Haruhi.

I guess this show have the most profound effect on me more than any other anime because of the similarities, for better or for worse.

Btw, the movie was freaking amazing. I'm just saying.

Kara no Kyoukai and Mnemosyne (Winter 2007)

(c) hara takehito

I know that both of these shows are not TV series. One is a 7 parts movie and the other is an OVA but I have to include them in this list because of the simplest reason. Both of the female protagonists are very strong women who knows what they want and are not afraid to achieve their set goals despite of all the obstacle, especially when it comes to romance and relationship. Thanks to this, I realized that an ordinary love story just won't work for me which is why I won't settle down until I found my Shiki/Mikiya or Rin/Apos kind of romance. Crazy is me.

Kannagi and Hyakko (Fall 2008)

http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=438240

http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=65947

Needless to say that these shows featured moe characters. I always thought I hate moe shits but shows like these proved that I'm pretty shallow when it comes to moe. I like moe when it is funny and the story presented was intelligent. What I hate is the kind of moe who took us for a fool and thought that a bunch of girls sit around having tea after school is great. I mean Hyakko is about a bunch of girls having fun at school too but they managed to make the show entertaining and engaging through their characters' depth.

I also found out what my favorite studio production is through Kannagi. A1-Pictures have brought me a number of enjoyable anime. They are coming up with Fractale for Winter and it got a noitaminA time slot. That I think speak for itself. I am turning into a studio fag as well because I will watch whatever this studio will throw at me.

And that is the end of my list. But before I conclude this list, allow me to make a special mention to one more OVA anime that has tickle my funny bones and allowed me to enjoy profanities like I have never enjoyed it before.

Detroit Metal City (Summer 2008)

because it made this kind of fanart possible and no one can feel offended :P

Phew what a decade it has been. Hopefully my passion for anime will continue for another ten years so that I can do the same shit when it comes to the end of 2020.

Diary of a tard - Week 1, October 2010

This image has nothing to do with the diary
(c) hemo style

Sunday, October 3

This week is pretty much dedicated to the new fall anime that has started yesterday. Bakuman is nothing special but I still like it nonetheless.

Tuesday, October 5

Everyone has been raging/raving about Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt and I can understand why.

Wednesday, October 6

There is a little bit of Kirino in all of us tards. I truly believe this after I watched Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. Fuck that is one long ass title >>

Thursday, October 7

Bleach episode 291 saw the end of Tousen and Shinji's lack of tactical strategy. Needless to say I'm disappointed.

Naruto chapter 512: They are ready to move Naruto and Bee to a new place since their position has been leaked by the shark guy. Wise move since Madara is already on their tail with his new mask. He might take a while though since the island is actually a moving big giant tortoise. LOLWUTF? Anyway, Madara gets a helping hand from Kabuto. Kabuto will fight Bee and Yamato (because he needs bodies to expriment on) so Madara can focus on Naruto. Before they leave though, Madara brought Kabuto to the secret chamber where the heretical demon statue is and revealed that the first Hokage is actually somewhat still alive. LOLWUTF times 2!! and apparently that's not the biggest surprise yet. Madara has created one hundred thousands of Zetsu army who apparently don't have genitals. Back at the headquarters of the joined shinobi, the kage are having another meeting (yay Gaara!). I'm not sure whether the old Oonoki will come to Naruto's rescue or Gaara. While they are busy arguing, Kabuto is already on his way with Deidara's clone.

My heart ache so damn much when I read Bleach chapter 423 *cries*

Black.Star has been taken in by the insanity as well in chapter 78 of Soul Eater. I don't like to see these two friends beating each other up. But looks like Black.Star has a better grip on the situation. Back in Greed chapter, we got to see how Liz and Patty met with Kidd and how they both get attached to him.

Friday, October 8

I took a day off from work just so I can have the weekend to spend on my fall anime. I have only seen 7 of them so far. The latest is Psychic Detective Yakumo.

So... I was wondering how many of you guys out there follow the Artichoke and Peachies Show? I just saw the pilot episode and think that maybe I will continue to watch these two ladies talking about anime even though they are not really good at it. I like them better before they transformed into some slutty clothes slut. I think Peachies is hot by the way. I think it's the power of her megane, again. Artichoke is fine too, especially since she like Bleach and thinks Rukia is cute =3

Saturday, October 9

I finally got to see the most awaited show of this season (for me): Togainu no Chi! w00t w00t!!

Holy cunt, I am so glad that I decided to check out the manga updates today because there is actually an update on Hyakko. Chapter 38 is continuation from the last chapter which I read way back in April. Everyone is getting the refill for their guns. Kitsune was trying to steal Ayu's gun but his partner got shot before he can do it. LOL his expression was priceless. Shishimaru's team remains as the most bad ass team so far. I want this team to meet Torako's just because I want to see what Shishimaru's reaction would be like. I know it's going to be hilarious. Torako and Kageyama's decided to work together to defeat Shishimaru. Hehe like I said, the reaction was awesome. I love Shishimaru for being such a gentleman. Torako would have won the game if they weren't underestimating Ayu's team. Hehehe...

I wish my boyfriend would take a bullet for me too.

It has been several weeks since I last read a chapter from Zettai Karen Children. The Children and their classmate is rehearsing for their play in chapter 233. The chapter would have been fine with me if Feather didn't interfere and played around with Minamoto. The day of the festival finally arrived in chapter 234. Hyoubu and the rest of PANDRA will be attending the festival, just like BABEL and the Phantom's guys will. WTF the ninja from Phantom has a sharingan eye? LMAO. Unfortunately PANDRA came with a mission. They kidnapped Yuri (for good reason imo) and confront her while she's in hypnosis in chapter 235. In chapter 236, Hyoubu confronted her himself. Hyoubu is very pissed off about the fact that she and her dad have been sacrificing esper for their own selfish reasons. I thought Hyoubu will have no problem defeating her but damn she;s strong. Oh thank god I was wrong. Looks like Hyoubu already set up another illusion before confronting her in chapter 237. Looks like he's about to finish her but I guess it won't be that easy since Yuuri is kinda the good guys now too >>

Diary of a tard - Week 3, April 2010

Sunday, April 18

I dunno how did I miss the update of Hyakko chapter 37. The update was dated back in January! The battle continues. I didn't know that the teachers are joining as well. Suzume and Ode seem unstoppable until Kitsune started scheming with Takaya and Shishimaru to take down his rivals.

Angel Beats! episode 3: Hehe this shit of a show is so made out of win. The mosaic effects for Miyuzaki's films made me chuckled and that dude who called himself Christ is so retarded for a genius. By the way, the girl group we seen in last chapter is called Girls Dead Monster ot GirlsDeMo for short. Way better than After School Tea Time whatever-shit. The lead girl, Iwasawa, has wrote a ballad song for diversion and right after the performance she disappeared. This time their mission is to enter the Angel's lair i.e. Angel's bedroom. I must say that the animation during GirlsDeMo performance was awesome. I'm impressed. KyoAni can learn a thing or two from Aniplex. And dammit they did a good job with the suspense, drama and action too. Wow. Angel Beats is exceeding my expectation. The songs are addictive if nothing else.

Monday, April 19

Chapter 11 of Durarara!!
  • talked about the incestship of the Yagiri. Nothing I haven't seen from the anime though.
  • the budding relationship between Ryugamine and Sonohara.
  • Selty has found her head and is chasing her around town.
  • Ryugamine gets in the way and helped her head out.
Zettai Karen Children chapter 213: Minamoto has told the Children that he'll be moving out and stay with Tim and Bullet since they are turning into a woman. Just like I predicted, the culprit behind last chapter's attack is someone that Tim mentioned. I kinda get a feeling that he's the one with the barbie dolls all over the place and was kicked out of BABEL. Anyway, the PANDRA kids + Tim + Bullet went to his place but there are these guys with coated surrounded them with guns.

They are shading lights on Patchman and Joe's past in chapter 16 of Arago. Nothing interesting really, just another story of two partners working on a case. Now Joe is suspecting Arago because he has the portrait of the criminal that the leprechaun drew.

Rainbow is a pretty nasty stuff. I approved.

Wednesday, April 21

Bleach latest episode was okay I guess. We haven't reach the annoying part of the chanting yet so I'm chilling.

Thursday, April 22

Naruto chapter 492: Ballad rapping? More like ballad raping my ass! But the evil Naruto made me swoons. Awesome ^_^

Chapter 401 of Bleach left me speechless and my pantsu wets ^__^

Ah how time flies. It feels like only yesterday did I watch the 2nd episode of Ookiku Furikabutte. In the 3rd episode, Sakaeguchi has a theory as to why Mihashi refused to get off the mound: in middle school Mihashi was totally ignored but the game wouldn't start if he doesn't pitch. It sort of confirming his existence. Make sense. They are up against Sakitama. Momoe imo is too overconfident about this game being a called game so I feel like they are going to loose. As usual, Tajima notices the quirks of the opponents so early in the stage and casually talked to the opponent during games. He also warned Hanai about being satisfied, which made Hanai irritated. He's always managed to have fun in a game. That's one of the other things that I like about him. Then it's Izumi turn. Damn they made me so excited! Can't wait for next week!

Indeed!

The level of awesomeness for Arakawa Under the Bridge is >9000!

Kuroshitsuji chapter 44: They are divided into 2 groups. One stay upstairs while the other went down the cellar to look at the corpses. This is to determine the where about of the key of Earl's room. Since they failed to find the key on Sebastian's corpse, they went to search his room. I didn't know Ciel was allergic to cat. Do you? Anyway, the still couldn't find the key so they resorted to search the luggage. Mey Rin found the red liquid but recklessly forgot about it. Now the servants volunteered to search the outside compound. I don't blame them for being so emotional about the death of Sebastian. But yeah, I say this again: this is turning out to be like Umineko...

The battle continues in Emerging chapter 18. The virus is using the human body as it's carrier. They are sending 4 patients to America, hoping that their technology will help them find a cure. The doc with glasses was instruct to come to America as well. He seems reluctant though but he's about to change his mind >_>

Yay we are back to Badou in chapter 49 of Dogs - Bullets & Carnage. He and Mihai ended up in the hospital. Neubaten, the Director of the Central Administration Office apologized to the public and announced the reconstruction of the city etc. Badou immediately took interest when he seems to remember Neubaten's face. Meanwhile Heine and Naoto are having a talk about Heine's doubt. Yeah, he should stop being so emo.
