First Impression: Arata Kangatari

I pay no heed to this show until I reread my preview for Spring. How could I forget the important fact that this show might have a boy pretending to be a girl? Lets just hope that this one will go horribly right. After all, isn't this the only show that is featured in noitaminA this season?

But oh dear.  This is such an average show, I dunno where to begin. Yes, there is a boy who was forced to pretend as a girl to be the princess but that lasted for less than 5 minutes.

There are two Arata. One from the other world, and the other from Japan. The former was chosen to be the succeeding princess but was framed as the princess murderer instead by the Twelve Shinsho who planned to take over the ruling of that place. The latter Arata on the other hand is pathetic as fuck. He's often being bullied and has no friends. Somehow, due to the forest magical shit thingy, they switched place.

I'm more intrigued to see how the former Arata cope with living in Japan than the emo-whining Avatar that travel to that magical world.

The animation was below average for an anime that is featured in noitaminA. The plot was kinda meh too. I dunno how the hell did this show get chosen =\

Having said that, the Twelve Shinsho are actually quite hawt LOL

First Impression: Devil Survivor 2

I am usually into the gore, evil, supernatural stuff but during the preview, I don't get any gore/spooky/thrill feelings from reading the synopsis.Oh well, we all know how misleading the synopsis can be. Lets hope that it doesn't failed me, especially with the promise of so many bishie in it. Also, I wasn't sure if there's a prequel to this series. According to MAL, there isn't.

At first I thought it was stupid as fuck, probably because Hibiki looks like the biggest pussy ever. And then there's those wolf-like demons and then the summoned-demons. Both are equally stupid as well. I was ready to drop this shit but something just made me sit here and watched it till the end and guess what, somehow it turned out okay thanks to the other mysterious characters that appeared towards the end.

This show is indeed about demons. The person who summoned them are supposed to be dead but thanks to this application that they downloaded, they got a second chance to be a hero. Obviously the type of demon they may summoned depends on their power level and somehow Hibiki's just up there which kinda pissed me off but whatever.

I dunno where will it go from here. Maybe I'll find out if I was interested. I won't drop this though. It wasn't that bad that it deserved to be in the anishit list. It is just... average.

Having said that, I do want to meet the other summoners. They look rather... interesting ww.

First Impression: Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun

I watched this when it was first came out. During that time, I was busy as fuck so I didn't have to write a proper first impression post. I regretted not writing one since I have to rewatch this in order to remember what was it all about.

 This show is about Shino and Sousuke, both has the power to control/be animal who lives as monk at some mountains. The Church are interested in them and knew that they can find the gems that they wanted so it was their mission to retrieve those gems or death by the Church law. Oh they also need to protect their sister Hamaji (not by blood) from being used.

Yeah, the plot is fucked up too.

There's really nothing interesting that worth mentioning about this show so I think I have finally decided to drop this shit. It's far too shoujo-ish for me.

First Impression: Acchi Kocchi

Of all the 4-koma manga adaptation this Spring, the only one that I am willing to give a chance is Acchi Kocchi simply because I expect good comedy that can makes me laugh. From what I’ve read so far from the anibloggers on twitters, they all seem to enjoy it a lot. I guess I made a good choice, huh?

Let sure hope so.

Well, the start of the episode sure rubs me the wrong way. Tsumiki who looks a lot like Konata whom one of the few female characters that I adore, phailed to impress me with her moeness and lack of self-confidence. I hope the rest of the characters can make up of whatever she’s lacking. Also, I expected comedy, not shoujo/romance!

I feel cheated that she is not as cool as Konata

Did I also mention that I generally hate cats?

But I find myself forgiving of Mayoi who goes nyan here and nyan there. She and Io make a perfect team in my opinion. She is definitely the one that saves this show for me. I enjoyed her sense of humor. She’s dependable too and certainly a friend that you want in your life.

I even like Hime who has nosebleed at every romantic/moe things Io does to Tsumiki. Now, that’s cute and she doesn’t have to force it, unlike Tsumiki. Sakaki is the typical pervert guy friend that is a must for every normal protagonist. He served his purpose I guess.

Like I said, if it wasn’t for Mayoi I definitely would whines a lot about this show. I find it rather tiring watching Tsumiki trying to hide her obvious feelings for Io. Girl, if you want it, just say it! Damn it.

So plus one point for Mayoi for being so entertainyan!

First Impression: Kamisama Dolls

Watching the first minute of the episode got me so confused. The distress that they want to portray definitely shines through for I do not know what the fuck is going on. Maybe because I don't expect to see mecha in this show. Blame me for ignoring the synopsis and other posts regarding this show to avoid spoilers.

/distraction/ Damn have you seen the rack on Hibino Shiba? WTF with that melon. Naturally every males want to get their dick in between those things, including our protagonist, Kyouhei Kuga.

Kyouhei is from a small village that has some sort of mecha as their familiar. They called themselves Seki, those who share their heart with the mecha. Aki, was locked up after the massacre but when he knows that Kyouhei has moved to Tokyo, he escaped the village. Utao, their little sister comes to stop him but is no match. She ends up blowing the house to piece which forces Kyouhei to move with Hibino. Chance!

Aki has made me suspicious of the village, even more so when Kyouhei called himself their slaves even though he left it. It seems like the shrine is like where all the orders come from and they are absolute. I see why Aki is rebelling now.

They called the mecha as god (kamisama) and the person who controls it as dolls thus Kamisama Dolls.

Surprisingly I like this show a lot. It's not anything like I have expected.

I played this episode without any real expectation but the murder and blood has got me a tad excited. The fact that one of the family member massacred the village just pretty much sealed the deal.

I just have a thing for a white hair male character: Gin, Accelerator, Gintoki, Xerxes Break and Zero Kiryuu to name a few. Most of the time they are archetype of sinister yet cunning and sometimes emo characters. I will often turns to goo with such character presents.

First Impression: Ao no Exorcist

Ao no Exorcist is the only anime that I look forward to the most because of two factors. Factor number one is the fact that I have read the manga back when I was a manga whore so I know what to expect and I expect greatness because the story is fucking awesome (though I have forgotten most about it). The other factor, if you have not guess it yet, is the fact that A-1 Pictures is the one producing this show.

I am three things: anime tard, Sugita slut and A-1 Pictures' whore. Explain a lot, doesn't it? LOL

As expected from A-1 Pictures, the start of the anime puts me at the edge of my seat where a bunch of priests praying to protect the Assiah but one by one they were burned to crisp. But this show is not about them, this show is about the twin Rin and Yukio Okumura who have opposite personalities. Yukio is the smart and obedient one while Rin is the rebel who always gets into trouble.

The Abbey where Rin and Yukio live provides exorcism but Rin doesn't believe in ghost and demon until he saw one himself. That's the beginning of his adventure. Little did he know that he's the offspring of Satan. The day he learned that, he also saw Father did his exorcism and finally he was told the truth about himself. Now that the demon knows where and who he is, Rin will be hunted down. Shit is about to get real people!

Fuck, I'm soaked.

Ao no Exorcist is not all serious shit. It plays with emotions too. When Rin was embarrassed in front of Father, I feel my cheeks heat up as well. And then there were the clumsy side of Rin that made me chuckled. He's cute like that. The same goes for Yukio. I can really feel his concern for Rin and I can't wait to see him playing his role in this whole premise. Gah, twinsome is awesome.

I dunno who Nobuhiko is since I'm not familiar with his previous works but since he does Rin so well, I better look out for him the next time I watch an anime. Yukio is voiced by Jun Fukuyama who is famous for his role as Lelouch so Yukio kinda has that kind of charisma. The rest of the cast will definitely makes this show a huge success, like Hiroshi Kamiya and Kana Hanazawa who are yet to make their appearance. Both the OP and ED are outstanding. Uverworld, whom I know and come to like thanks to Bleach, does the OP and since I learned that 2PM is singing the ED, the conceited old me like it right away. Credits to the music director as well for the appropriate BGM.

There is no need to sing my praises to A-1 Pictures for the great art and animation. It was expected of them and once again, they delivered. It was flawless. The character designs are just like that of the originals and the backgrounds were very detailed. To say that I'm impressed is an understatement. Thank you A-1 Pictures for not disappointing me this time around.

I'm going to recommend this show to everyone not just because I am a biased fucker but also because I think great anime ought to be shared. I already have friends that I can spazz to so that just makes watching it even more enjoyable. Love. Love. Love.

First Impression: Beelzebub

Personally, this is one of the anticipated shows for winter just because I am reading the manga and I expect good things from it. On the other hand, I tend to stop watching shounen anime half way through because I got distracted by other anime or was simply too busy to catch up to the many episodes. It happens with Soul Eater and Fairy Tail although I still watch them occasionally when I'm in the mood.

Since I know what to expect from Beelzebub, I will be more critical when it comes to the adaptation. If they do this the shitty way, I will probably not going to watch it for the sake of shounen alone. But then again, I like Oga so maybe, just maybe, I'm gonna ignore the shortcomings of this one. I have to remember one thing though. This one is from Studio Peirrot. I shouldn't have high hopes for it.


I shouldn't explain what this show is about I guess since most of us already know the story from reading the manga and synopsis. What I'm doing here however is just pointing out some stuff about the show.

1. I know the manga has some comedy in it but the anime has totally took the comedy to a different level. This kinda reminds me of Gintama except that it can never be that awesome and should grovel down to one of the best anime of the decade.

2. Just like the comedy, they kinda over did it with the electricity shit as well. Or is that how it was in the manga too? I've stop reading after I learn that the anime is going to be released. Maybe I should really stick with the manga.

3. One thing doesn't change though. The baby is just as annoying as I remember him to be. I can't wait for him to grow up :3

4. Now that I've seen Furuichi got animated, I like him. He reminds me of Shinpachi, always the voice of reasons.

5. You know who would be perfect seiyuu for Oga? Sugita Tomokazu. Unfortunately, it's not so I'm just gonna be contented and pretend it was Sugita. Besides, Sugita does play a role in this one as Kanzaki. So it's all good.

Am I going to watch the next episode? Yes, I am. Was I impressed? No, I am not.

First Impression: To Aru Majutsu no Index II

I recently completed the first season just so I can remember some of the details from season one. This is another one of the fall anime that I look forward to see the most. I missed Misaka and even the whiny Touma.

Yes, Touma is very whiny for a male protagonist. The start of season 2, and he already whines about his unfinished homework. But I would complained a lot too if I have to live under one roof with Index who unfortunately is still as annoying as ever. Not to mention that she brings all sorts of trouble with her. She's bad luck. I like the fact that Touma acted like a normal high school student for once who worried about his homework and such.

In this episode, she is already being targeted by the enemy who used wind as his weapon. He wanted a volume of book from her memory. His reason? To save her beloved. Aww.... WHAT?! TOO FUCKING CLICHE!

Thank goodness Misaka is in this episode too, being all tsundere with Touma. I couldn't help but giggle at her. That's how I am with my boyfriend too. She makes all Index episodes OK whenever she's in it.

I also see familiar faces at the end of the episode, setting up for bigger plots, like how will he face the midget tomorrow without his homework *chuckles*

Oh btw, I like the OP but the ED? Not so much. Also, my initial thoughts about the characters remain as it is. I can't wait for Accelerator to make his comeback. And more Masaka/Touma please. GIMME MORE DETONATION!

First Impression: Kaichou wa Maid-sama

I won't normally watch something like this but I promised myself that I'll check this out and form my opinion after I've watched it. Who knows that I might like it just like I did with Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.

The story: Misaki is the bossy president of the student council. She is freaking poor. Ends up working as a maid waitress at a restaurant which forces her to become meek. She tried to keep it a secret from her school mate but Usui Takumi, the hottest guy in school (FUCKING CLICHE!!) saw her. She worried that he will tell the whole school about it, not knowing that Usui has taken an interest. Of course she'll pretend like she didn't notice it. Slut.


I seriously want to puke.


But Usui is kinda cute.

Dammit!
