Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Anime: Fall 2013

Let's just get down to it, shall we?

Disclaimer: I'm basing my opinion on the synopsis of the shows. They are pretty telling at times but can be totally misleading at some other times too.

(c) moetron

So here goes.

MUST WATCH:
  • Are you kidding me? How can an anime that focuses on megane NOT be in my must watch list. Hell yeah I'm looking forward to Meganebu! even when it has exclamation mark in it's title. Yeah I'm biased like that. Problem?
  • Galilei Donna. Sounds stupid. But hey it's by A-1 Pictures. I'm not complaining (yet).
  • I liked the first season of Yozakura Quartet. I hope the second season will deliver the same goodness too.
  • It's Kyousogiga again!

ANIME WITH POTENTIAL:
  • I have a soft spot for baseball anime and since Daiya no A is produced by both Madhouse and Production I.G., I expected it to be great.
  • Serious shit looks like serious shit and I do like serious shit so KILL la KILL will probably get to be in the must watch list if I like what I see.
  • Bishie alert in Samurai Flamenco! Hell yes.
  • Yowamushi Pedal because I like sports anime.
  • After Free!, Kyoto Animation is back to do their normal stuff and they are usually good at it. I have hope for Kyoukai no Kanata.
  • J.C. Staff is pretty good with comedy so Golden Time should be pretty entertaining.
  • Hey, come on. It's Lupin III.
  • Incestship potential in Super Seisyun Brothers. Incest has becoming quite a theme in anime lately. I'm OK with this type of incest... I think.
  • A human girl that turned into a human eating monster? I have to check out Pupa for that reason alone.

AVERAGE ANIME:
  • I'll be honest. I'm already envious as fuck with Yui. She get to live with not one, but six sadistic good looking vampires. Because of this, I got a feeling that I might end up hating Diabolik Lovers.
  • I'm not into games and usually can't relate well with anime that has game as it main plot. So I guess Log Horizon might be something that I'll check out but end up as an anime that I don't give a shit about.
  • P.A Works usually will win me over with their superb animation but I will have problem digesting the character from Nagi no Asukara if indeed she's a cry baby. I just hate girls without backbones.
  • I still haven't watched Infinite Stratos season 1 so I'm just gonna download this for future benefit, if any.
  • I was hoping that the moe avengelist is somewhat a trap. As I read the synopsis further, I got disappointed and quite disappointed with Outbreak Company.
  • Though I haven't finished watching the first season Phi Brain, I liked it a lot so yeah I'm definitely gonna get the second season as well. Why it's not in the potential list? Well, it was good, but not that good.
  • I want to know what the rest of the gundam fans have to say about Gundam Build Fighters. They are usually very critical with this sort of anime nowadays.
  • Well, that girl in alluring kimono sure got me going. Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai can be interesting I guess.
  • I lost Kuroko no Basket first season DVD when someone broke into my car. It kind turned me off since I have no idea what's going on except for the occasional BL fanart I see on my TL.
  • I sort of looking forward to Non Non Biyori. It must be that slice-of-life thingy.
  • There's no harm getting the second season of Valvrave the Liberator second season since I have the first season with me.
  • Tokyo Ravens has potential to be entertaining if it's done right. Lets hope it does. I like girls in kimono after all.
  • Err... yeah, I know Magi is produced by A-1 Pictures but since I haven't finished watching the first season...
  • Gingitsune. I don't know what to say to be honest. But it doesn't look that bad to warrant it to be in the anishit list. We'll see.
  • Opposite attraction in Strike the Blood.
  • I have never been a fan of futuristic anime. Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio -Ars Nova- need to have some seriously good plot to impress me.
  • Another futuristic anime of the season: Coppelion. Oh well.
  • A male protagonist decided to be slave for the female protagonist. Oh boy I just have to see how Walkure Romanze screw things up.
  • I think I've watched White Album before and wasn't comfortable with the complicated feelings. I'm not sure I want to watch this one =\
  • I'm taken in by the poster. I hope Neppu Kairiku Bushiroad won't disappoint. Then again, it's a mecha.
  • Blazblue Alter Memory sounds so freaking meh.

ANISHIT:

  • I'm just saying NOPE to Battle Spirit Saikyou Ginga Ultimate Zero.
  • The same NOPE goes to Gaist Crusher. So gays.
  • Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai! looks like an ecchi shit. Plus it has an exclamation mark in it's title. That's a fair warning that this is going to hurt my brain and makes me rage.
  • Saw the girl with big boobs and read the title: Freezing Vibration. Just no.
  • Not saying Pokemon XY is shit but for someone my age, well... it is.
  • Miss Monochrome. I don't get it.
  • Seiyuu Sentai Voicetorm 7. What kind of a fucking title is that?
  • I don't give a shit about student's extracurricular activities. There's too many of that kind of anime already. I'm sorry Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono.
  • I have no desire to start watching Hajime no Ippo now.
  • I have to put Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Come o Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru in this list for two stupid reason. 1) That title is a mouthful 2) It's sorta full of lolis. Not my thing.
  • I can't believe that Little Busters! get a second season. Oh wait... I sort of want to watch this shit >_>

As for the movies, I look forward to the following:
  • Sakasama no Patema
  • Persona3 the Movie

I'm in a hurry so yeah, that's all folks!

Anime: Summer 2013

Summer is upon us. There will be influx of supposedly good/great movies at the cinema but who cares about that when we have anime. Here is the preview of summer anime by yours truly. By the way, it feels good getting back on the routine of blogging :)

As usual, I'm using my preview template for this shit, because I'm lazy as fuck. Even the previous sentence was copied from the previous preview for Spring heh.

Disclaimer: I'm basing my opinion on the synopsis of the shows. They are pretty telling at times but can be totally misleading at some other times too.

(c) moetron

So here goes.

MUST WATCH:
  • I am a classy biased motherfucker so it is only natural that Servant x Service will be in my must watch list even though the title is very suggestive of a genre that I usually rage upon. All simply because this show is produced by A-1 Pictures.
  • Looking forward to Gin no Saji: Silver Spoon as well for the same reason. A1-Picture produced this show damn it!
  • Whoever who does not looking forward to Genshiken Nidaime is a retard.
  • I don't think I need to explain myself why Free! is in my must watch list. This is like... the source of bOnar for me for the summer.

ANIME WITH POTENTIAL:

  • Ah, Monogatari Series Second Season is a good reminder for me to watch the first one.
  • I like what I see with Uchouten Kazoku and since it's comedy, I have somewhat an expectation.
  • Finally I saw something that perks my interest. Blood Lad is definitely one of the anime that I look forward to this season simply because, well, I have weird fetish.
  • Lately I have become a fan of slice-of-life so Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaete mo Omaera ga Warui! definitely sounds like something that  I would enjoy for the simple fact that the protagonist looks like a geek fuckard.
  • Brain Base's latest anime, Brothers Conflict, is obviously about incest. I don't care if it's not of the same father/mother. Incest is incest. I might like this. Uguuuu~
  • Season 3 of Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. I enjoyed the first two season so I hope this third season will deliver as well.
  • I would like to see how the fans of Fate/Stay Night would react to the spinoff: Fate/kaleid line Prisma☆Illya. It would be awesome if ufotable would produced this but oh well.

AVERAGE ANIME:
  • I used to watch Kingdom until my computer was stolen which mean I lost great deal of anime episodes with it as well. I guess I just have to skip Kingdom season 2 then...
  • I wasn't sure whether or not I have the first season of Tamayura. It is somewhat feels familiar. I doubt that I have time for Tamayura ~More Aggressive~ though. Maybe I'll just take a sneak peak of the first episode to get the first impression about this show.
  • I bet Kimi no Iru Machi will have cliche plot. Girl A invade Boy's life > Boy is annoyed with Girl A > Boy in love with Girl B > Somewhat at the end Boy fall for Girl A.
  • Gen'ei Kakeru Taiyou is targeted to all the lolicons. It looks too childish for my taste.
  • I know I have Symphogear season somewhere or maybe I have lost it when my computer was stolen last year. I doubt that I will be bothered with Senki Zesshou Symphogear G though. It wouldn't be fair if I throw the show into the anishit list so lets put it here with the rest of the average anime.
  • Another anime targeted for the lolicon. If the comedy in Kin-iro Mosaic is something that I can laugh at then I'll probably gonna like this show otherwise it has potential to be in my anishit list.
  • I haven't seen Senyuu and suddenly second season is here. Was it good?
  • "Dolls" that can fight and can power up? I'm telling myself not to fall for the art that accompany the synopsis because I have a feeling that Fantasista Doll is going to be another ridiculous show that targeted to the male audience.
  • Even Teekyuu has a second season? Haha, okay this show is somewhat funny however I still can't justified why did it get another season.
  • Shoujo-ai anime of the season, Love Lab, is definitely not my kind of anime but I'm sure it's not bad.
  • I have problem trying to digest the plot for Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou. There are too much going on; a boy, book, dog, scissors and a sadistic novelist. It can't be that bad, can it?
  • The plot doesn't seem so bad and even has potential to be good. But looking at the studio and the style of animation, I doubt that Danganronpa Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei can deliver.
  • Toukurei Sochi Dantai Stella Jo-Gakuin Koutou-ka C3-Bu is a story centers around high school girls ("who looks super good in mini skirts") - Wait what? FFFFFF-
  • The plot is illogical but meh this is anime where anything is possible. I don't like emo girls who thinks she's superior to any other human being so  I might end up not liking Rozen Maiden at all, even more so when the male protagonist sounds like someone that can be pushed around by the said girl.
  • I still have problem understanding why when student don't want to join any after school activities join club that somewhat created for that purpose. For example, Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku this season. They better have some strong characters otherwise I'll be raging all the way.
  • The characters look cute enough but it's some sort of a mecha anime so I don't think I will go loco for Gatchaman Crowds, especially since it looks like the pilots are mainly loli.
  • All I see are bishies so I might end up liking Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist for that. LOL I wish I am that shallow of a fan.
  • Yay, another lolicon anime. Ro-Kyuu-Bu! SS got a second season. I cannot brain >_>
  • Since it is produced by Madhouse, I saw a glimpse of hope for Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi. Having said that, reading the plot kinda eliminate all hopes LOL

ANISHIT:
  • Jeebus, why the hell did they make a sequel for Recorder to Randoseru Mi ☆
  • Second season of High school DxD? How about NO?
  • Saying no to Futari wa Milky Holmes as well.
  • Didn't enjoy the first season because it's too shoujo-ish for my liking. I doubt the second season of Hakkenden-Touhou Hakken-Ibun would be any different.
  • Chou Jigen Game Neptune the Animation is the ecchi anime of the season it seems. The genre is enough to put me off.

As for the movies, I look forward to the following:
  • Hal
  • Kick-Heart because Production IG produced it. Yep, just like that.
  • Same goes for Arise-Ghost in the Shell-border: 1 Ghost Pain
  • And ZOMG Gintama's movie FUCKING WANT!
  • Studio Ghibli's Kaze Tachinu
  • Holy shit A1-Pictures is coming up with Ano hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-taichi wa Mada Shiranai movie? AWWW YISSSS

That's all folks!

Anime: Spring 2013

Now that I am getting slowly back into the groovy world of anime, I feel obligated to check out the incoming shows and truly pick the anime that I would spend my limited time on. As usual, I'm using my preview template for this shit, because I'm lazy as fuck.

Disclaimer: I'm basing my opinion on the synopsis of the shows. They are pretty telling at times but can be totally misleading at some other times too.

thanks to moetron

So here goes.

MUST WATCH:
  • Manglobe is producing Karneval which is pretty much targeted to fujoshi like me. Oh god all the bishies... and look at the seiyuus! #faps.
  • FUCK YES Yondemasu Yo, Azazel-san is back!
  • I am a big fan of Misaka Mikoto. I'm gonna watch To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S with hopes that something solid finally transpired between her and Touma. And perhaps Accelerator too :3

ANIME WITH POTENTIAL:
  •  I'm not saying that I'm old but when an anime targeting the middle age women, I feel inclined to check it out especially since Otona Joshi no Anime Time is based on some prize winning stories.
  • P.A Works often produced some good shows with some pretty good plot so I have a feeling that RDG: Red Data Girl has somewhat the potential to be talk of the fandom if it's done right. Besides, there's Rie Kugimiya in it which I'm sure Glo will be delighted when he finds out.
  • I foresee a trap anime in Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Phew what a mouthful. The prospect of trap excites me beyond words. Lets hope Brain Base won't disappoint us.
  • They have remastered Gundam Seed Destiny. I remember spazzing about this anime back then. Too bad I won't have the time to rewatch it :(
  • In order for me to watch the second season of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga nai, I have to finish watching the first one. It's a chore for me since I seriously dislike the imouto. But damn it this show is produced by A1-Pictures.
  • The setting for Shingeki no Kyojin looks to be interesting. Lets hope that it won't be destroyed by some cliche shit. Oh, and I hope there will be some incest too LOL
  • Knowing that Suisei no Gargantia is produced by Production I.G. gives me somewhat an assurance that this show can't be as bad as it sounds.
  • Oh dear, J.C. Staff is producing a show with Hentai in its title. Have they been so desperate? Anyhoo, Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko is set out to be interesting in a get go. Who doesn't like hentai right?
  • A boy pretending to be a girl? Arata Kangatari has potentials to go either so horribly wrong or awesome as fuck.
  • Aku no Hana somewhat intrigues. I can't tell what the show is going to be about which is always a good thing in my book.
  • One of the most talk about shows so I won't miss it for the world; Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku Outbreak

AVERAGE ANIME:
  • Date a Live looks to be a harem show with stupid cliched plot. I get a feeling that I will pretty much rage throughout the first episode, if I can managed to watch it that long, that is.
  • If this is another short less than 10 minutes anime, Danchi Tomoo will probably won't last long before I chucked it into the anishit list.
  • I have always wanted to watch remake of old shows and Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 is just one of those shows that intrigued me personally. Whether or not I have time for it will base on whether or not the show can impressed me within few minutes of the first episode.
  • Another mecha anime of the season is Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince. Lets gives this show a chance, shall we?
  • All I see is bishie so how bad can Devil Survivor 2 The Animation can be, right? RIGHT! LOL
  • I am never a fan of harem anime so I think I'm gonna drop Photo Kano after watching the first episode especially since the story looks to be stupid as fuck.
  • I am not sure whether the characters in Joujuu Senjin! Mushibug You poster is a boy or a girl. Either way this is gonna be another lackluster anime of the season.
  • Yuyushiki is adapted from 4-koma manga and I don't usually get the jokes so yeah... this show won't be as enjoyable to me as it is to some other people who is a 4-koma fan.
  • I see two bishies and a mecha in Kakumeiki Valvrave. Obviously that's enough reason for me to check out the show.
  • I did a facepalm when I read the synopsis for Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge. A kid with hair fetish? A hair queen? Jeebus.
  • Serious anime is serious: Asian Risshiden no Shima Kousaku.
  • I want to give Aiura a chance. Maybe it won't be so bad.

ANISHIT:
  • Tetsujin 28-Gou Gao might not be necessarily bad but I'm done watching short anime.
  • Oh dear god, why are we seeing a lot of the same shit lately? I will definitely stir clear from Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live
  • Gonna ignore Boku wa Ou-sama Fairy Tale Classic just because it sounds too childish.
  • I think the comedy in Hataraku Maou-sama! will piss me off more than anything. It will be cliched as fuck. You can tell that much just by reading the synopsis. But of course I might be wrong.
  • Just like the seasons before it, I'm gonna ignore Hayate no Gotoku! Can't Take My Eyes Off You. I am just not a fan of Nagi. Period.
  • I am not going to watch Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W either. It wasn't bad if I walk around with a dick hanging instead of a vagina.
  • Sparrow's Hotel sounds stupid as shit. If they have to sell the fact that "she has large breasts" then I don't want to waste my time on this show.

On a side note, I am looking forward to two movies: Hanasaku Iroha and Kotonoha no Niwa.

Till we meet again in a different version of this review!

Anime: Spring 2012

I am (way) far behind the Winter anime. It would have been a miracle if I get to see all the first episode of the Spring anime. I am too busy with work to realize that Spring has creep up on me and yet I have no clue what's showing. So I put aside my work for few hours and doing this preview instead to satisfy myself, and even convincing myself, that I am still an anime fan.

everyone, let's thank moetron for this chart

As usual, lets divide this accordingly. First up is the must watch (indefinitely) list. I didn't get to watch (or more accurately ignore) any of the noutaminA series for Winter. Let see if noitaminA managed to restore my faith back.

  • I know who is fapping right now. It's Glo because hey look, Nazo no Kanojo X is getting an anime!
  • I wasn't too sure about Fate/Zero back in Auturm until Reiki showed up and patiently walk me through this typemoon series. I am saving the last episode of part 1 so that I have a continuous watch for the second part. Needless to say, I'm stoked.
  • Same goes for Kimi to Boku season 2. I have a couple episodes left from season 1. It will be a good motivation to dive straight into season 2 with the characters fresh in mind. After all, they are the reason why I fell in love with the series in the first place.
  • A1-Pictures didn't produce any anime during the winter so naturally I am looking forward to Tsuritama which will be one of the two shows featured in noitaminA this Spring. It certainly looks different story/plot wise. Besides, this show is centered around 4 bishies. What's not to like? :3
  • One more anime produced by the A1-Pictures for Spring is Uchuu Kyoudai. It's about dreams, relationship between brothers and I'm sure so much more. I just hope that A1-Pictures do not pull another Fractale for this one.
  • I said earlier that Sankarea has the potential to either flop or goes up the ladder. This caused Glo's wrath and then I remember that he has been ranting out about how awesome the manga is so naturally this automatically got bumped to the must watch list
  • Sakamichi no Apollon will be featured in noitaminA and looking at the plot/story, it looks decent. For whatever reason, it reminds me of Kuragehime and that's good enough for me.

Next category is the shows that have the potential to be something more than average and might get a bump to be included in my MUST WATCH list.

  • The plot is intriguing enough to catch my attention. Plus, Hyouka is by KyoAni. What could go wrong?
  • I'll be honest. I have never watch Eureka Seven before even though I have the DVD somewhere in my room. I hope I can still watch Eureka Seven AO even though it's a sequel. I need people to fill me up like they did with Last Exile.
  • I still have a lot of episodes to catch up on but Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle has been somewhat very entertaining ride so I'm not going to miss the second season either.
  • I enjoyed the OVA so I'm sure I'll be enjoying Yurumates the TV series this Spring too.

Now that we have got those out of the way, it is time for the average shows that might be dropped for being predictable and cliche. This all depends on first impression. I am that picky because I can't afford to otherwise.

  • To be honest, I don't know what to think of Jormungand. It sounds dark enough to pique my interest but I am not crazy about the arts...
  • A weak and often bullied male protagonist meet and has instant luck with the prettiest girl in school? Where the fuck have I heard that before. So atm it's a big no for Accel World. But if the protagonist is that fat boy down there... then this show might still has the chance to redeem itself.
  • The art for Ozuma reminds me of the old age of anime back in the 80's. It looks interesting enough but I'm not crazy for the love development thingy between Maya and Sam. If anything I think I will end up rooting for the IC. Bad guys are just that hawt sometimes.
  • Who haven't heard of Saint Seiya right? However that does not mean I'm looking forward to watch Saint Seiya Omega. Again, what's with the 80's art?
  • I am not gonna lie. Although I will hate Tamaki, I wish I could have her life instead. Having five bishies as my guardian angels... now that's a life I can look forward to. So yeah I guess I'll be checking out Hiiro no Kakera.
  • I am not crazy about Natsuiro no Kiseki but I am interested to see how these four girls interact with each other. For that I'll give them the benefit of a doubt.
  • Saki: Achiga-hen episode of Side-A because I somewhat like the first Saki :)
  • For some reason I got excited with Zetman. It probably has something to do with that misleading poster. It looks like a guy carrying another guy in his arms. The fujoshi in me squeals in delight.
  • I am not a fan of Rock Lee so naturally I can't say that I look forward to Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden. Besides, it has been over a year since I last updated myself with the Naruto series.
  • They must have a reason to do a digital remaster for Fushigi no Umi no Nadia. Here I am hoping that the reason is because this anime was exceptional in those days of yore.
  • Kuroko no Basuke reminds me of Slam Dunk, the ever so famous basketball anime in the 90's. It is produced by Production I.G. so at the very least I am hoping that the arts and animation could blow us away.
  • Yet another girls idol anime. AKB0048 is probably would be the other iDOLM@STER.
  • This could be the only 4koma manga adaptation of the season that I'm interested in: Acchi Kocchi
  • Why does an anime looks like an American cartoon? I hope Gakkatsu can overcome this flaw with some witty comedy otherwise I would throw this in the trash can without missing a heartbeat.
  • What's with anime and soccer lately? The latest addition of the soccer anime is Ginga e Kickoff!! which was adapted by a 2006 soccer novel. For a girl, I should probably be ecstatic that this show evolved around a professional female player but all I can smell is cliche shit so...
  • I am not crazy about the plot for Tasogare OtomexAmnesia. It reeks of clicheness; a boy who is the only one who can see the ghost of the female protagonist. Hmm... where did I heard that before... >_>

And without further ado, below are the anime that is more likely to be included in my anishit list. These are the shows that I won't bothered with except if I'm really bored and has nothing better to do than waste my time raging. In other words, the shitty/ecchi shows. It could also be the show that I'm curious about but know that I only watch the first episode to prove that I'm right at how bad it is.

  • Again with girl saving the boy from alien and that girl turns out to have some powers herself. You have seen one, you have seen them all so there is no reason for me to watch Haiyore! Nyaruko-san
  • I know I will rage watching Sengoku Collection. That era is meant to be bad ass but this show will ruin that for me. It is most likely that I will skip this and won't even bother to check out the first episode.
  • I don't play games and it serves no purpose for me to watch Koi-ken!, a dating anime adapted from a game that has male/lesbian as the consumers.
  • Who the fuck want to watch an obvious anime like Shiba Inuko-san? The 4koma fans, that's who and I am not one of them.
  • Arashi no Yoru ni is a collaboration between Singapore's Sparky Animation studio and few Japanese companies including Bandai Visual. Unfortunately I'm not into kid show and this show looks like it belongs in Disney Junior channel.
  • Shining Hearts ~Shiawase no Pan~ Jeebus, what's with saving the damsel in distress? They are just sluts and attention whores!
  • I have some reservation for Medaka Box because of the size of the female protagonist's boobs. What school allowed a student (a president of student council at that) to wear that kind of uniform. Jeebus talking about it is enough to piss me off.
  • There is no way in hell I'm gonna waste my time watching Jewelpet Kira☆Deko and holy fuck, this is the fourth season? What did I miss? O_o
  • Same goes for Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future. Why Japan? Why?
  • Another 4koma manga adaptation that I will not give a shit about is Upotte!! Just saying that title already pissed me off.
  • I have never heard of Train Hero.
  • Eh what's with the animal theme children show? No, I don't want to watch Shirokuma Cafe either!

And here are the shows that I don't give a damn about because I haven't finished watching the previous season or never has the intention of watching it in the first place.

  • Kore wa Zombie desu-ka?Jigoku-hen.
  • Cardfight!! Vanguard Second Series
  • Kikansha Thomas
  • Beyblade Zero-G
  • Queen's Blade Rebellion

I won't be bothered by the OVA/ONA/Specials because I'm too lazy for that (and because my work has been staring at me the past couple of hours). However let me mentioned the movies that caught my interest

  • Well, I have both seasons of Strike Witches. It won't be bad to watch that movie as well even though I don't understand why am I even bothered with this series.
  • If a poster like that can pique and intrigue me, I'm sure the movie of Uchuu Senkan Yamoto 2199 will blow my socks away.
  • I have this inclination to watch anything that Production I.G. produced but then again, I did drop Guilty Crown. Having said that Momo e no Tegami looks like a folklore movie which always interests me for some reason.
  • Niji-Iro Hotaru ~Eien no Natsu Yasumi~ looks like a love story and I'm a sucker for a good love story
  • I have no idea what Deva Zan is all about and I want to know.

That concludes the preview for Spring 2012. Just look at that must watch list of mine. Am I being too ambitious again knowing that I am too busy to watch more than 1 episode per day? Sad times indeed for the anime fan in me T__T

12 February 2012

Anime: Spring 2012 v1

I am busy as fuck during the Winter, holding up 3 full time jobs at the same time. Some called me crazy and indeed I am otherwise I couldn't possibly pull it off. So my anime time is forced to reduce to... none. Well, I am determined to do something about that. I have already dropped all the other shitty shows...

And then I saw that moetron already has the tentative Spring anime chart for 2012 (it's their 3rd version). Without further ado, lets check it out to see if there's any anime that caught my interest.

As usual, lets divide this accordingly. First up is the MUST WATCH (indefinitely) list. I didn't get (or more accurately ignore) to watch any of the noutaminA series for Winter. Let see if noitaminA managed to restore my faith back.

  • I wasn't too sure about Fate/Zero until Reiki showed up and patiently walk me through this typemoon series.
After all, they are the reason why I fell in love with the series in the first place.Next up is the potential list.
  • A1-Pictures didn't produce any anime during the winter so naturally I am looking forward to Tsuritama (not in the chart) which will be one of the two shows featured in noitaminA this Spring.

So far there is not a single anime that made it to my potential list which automatically dumped them into either the average show list or my anishit list. Let see the average anime first.

  • Saki: Achiga-hen episode of Side-A because I somewhat like the first Saki :)
  • For some reason I got excited with Zetman. It probably has something to do with that misleading poster. It looks like a guy carrying another guy in his arms. The fujoshi in me squeals in delight.
  • Sakamichi no Apollon (not in the chart) will be featured in noitaminA and looking at the plot/story, it looks decent.
  • For the life of me, I can't remember that other anime about basketball back in the 90's but Kuroko no Basuke reminds me of that anime. It is produced by Production I.G. so at the very least I am hoping that the arts and animation could blow us away.
  • Sankarea has the potential to either flop or goes up the ladder to be in the potential list. It all depends on the plot.
  • Yet another girls idol anime. AKB0048 is probably would be the other iDOLM@STER.

Below are the anime that has potential to be included in my anishit list.

  • I have some reservation for Medaka Box because of the size of the female protagonist's boobs. What school allowed a student (a president of student council at that) to wear that kind of uniform. Jeebus talking about it is enough to piss me off.
  • A weak and often bullied male protagonist meet and has instant luck with the prettiest girl in school? Where the fuck have I heard that before. So atm it's a big no for Accel World.

Last but not least is the show that I don't give a damn about because I haven't finished watching the previous season.

  • Kore wa Zombie desu-ka?Jigoku-hen.

And that's all for this version of my Anime chart update :)

Anime: Winter 2011/12

Winter season is approaching us and before we knew it, December is already upon us, marking the end of the year. With that, moetron has came up with the third version for the seasonal anime chart for our viewing pleasure.

Few anime have been added to the list which weren't in my first version of the Winter preview. Here I am hoping that these new added anime will add some value to initially quite disappointing season (if compared to Fall 2011).

I'm going to do this my usual way by dividing these shows according to my preference. First up is the MUST WATCH (indefinitely) list. I was taken for a ride in the previous season, where UN-GO and Guilty Crown were the biggest let down of the season. I never thought I would such say things for shows that are featured in noitaminA.

  • I am crazy for Kimi to Boku and I figured I will love Daily Lives of High School Boys even more so knowing that Sugita Tomokazu is cast as one of the main character. This comedy show will definitely tickles my funny bones. I don't even care that the characters look kinda derpy.
  • I am not going to pass up the opportunity to watch the only horror show of the season. Another is a novel adaptation and so I expect it to be well-written. It has been a while since I watched anything scary.
  • HOLY FUCK it's MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED HD!

Next category is the shows that have the potential to be something more than average and might get a bump to be included in my MUST WATCH list.

  • I don't know where did I got the idea. Maybe I dreamed it but I think I saw Inu x Boku SS trailer and I jizzed in my pantsu. So yeah, definitely going to watch this not just because the the mentioned of wolf (who is a heterochromia!) but because of Sugita Tomokazu. I am such a seiyuu fag ^_^
  • Kyousogiga sounds like a twisted Alice in Wonderland which is great but that is not the reason why I want to watch this. It has to do with the whole art and animation. From what I can see from the synopsis, it definitely tickles my taste bud. I figure Glo would love this because of Rie.
  • I still haven't watched the OVA. I guess I have to do that fast so I can watch the TV series for Black Rock Shooter. Furthermore, this one is featured in noitaminA. Jeebus, I am starting to lost faith in noitaminA =\
  • How can I resist a show full of men, not to mention that Ono Daisuke is one of the cast as well. Brave 10 should be good. I might even checked out the manga just to familiarize myself.
  • I got a feeling that Kill Me Baby will be brilliant with it's witty comedy. I hope I am not wrong with one.
  • After Mirai Nikki, I have become a fan of asread and will give the show they produced a chance, especially if it has something to do with kicking ass. From the poster, Busou Chuugakusei Basketarmy might fit the description. Too bad it's only 3 minutes long per episode plus it is going to be once every two months anime instead of weekly. Lets hope I have a patience for it.

Now that we have got those out of the way, it is time for the average shows that might be dropped for being predictable and cliche. This all depends on first impression. Yeah, I am cruel and very picky when it comes to my anime. I can be very fickle too.

  • I have never seen any of the prequels but I feel like watching New Prince of Tennis just so that some of the yaoi I read will make sense.
  • Rinne no Lagrange promised some mecha and the story if by Production I.G. This one should be promising.
  • I have a sinking feeling that Papa no lu Koto o Kikinasai! is going to make me rant unless the romance is somewhat well written. I bet one of the girls (most probably the one with ponytails) is a tsundere. If she is then this one will reek with cliche shit.
  • I am not familiar with Onegai Teacher/Onegai Twins franchise so I am trying not to be judgmental and brush Ano Natsu de Matteru off simply because the female protagonist has big boobs. Lets just hope the romance will over shine the ecchiness.
  • Area no Kishi looks to be quite predictable but a story of two bishie who happen to be brothers? I won't pass up a BL opportunity lol
  • Since I didn't get the chance to watch Nichijou when it aired, I might pick up the ETV version and see what I have been missing.

And here are the shows that will be on my pending list because I have yet to watch the first season/prequel/whatever:

  • I feel like a tool for still keep the other prequels on my on hold list. One of these day I'm gonna go on a binge so I can catch up to Natsume Yuujin-chou Shi.
  • Same goes for Amagami SS+ plus though I doubt I will like this series anyway.
  • I know Glo is gonna cum all over the place with the latest season of Zero no Tsukaima F. Unfortunately I have to put this one on hold as well. I don't even have the prequel seasons to begin with T__T
  • Argh fuck I better hurry up and watch Bakemonogatari so I can watch Nisemonogatari. Otherwise I have a feeling that I'll be clueless with the anifags convo. Pfft who cares anyway.

All that is left are the shows that I won't bothered with except if I'm really bored and has nothing better to do than waste my time raging. In other words, the shitty/ecchi shows. It could also be the show that I'm curious about but know that I only watch the first episode to prove that I'm right at how bad it is.

  • I am mostly unsure about Gokujyo. I guess I have to see the first episode and goes from there. It kinda look ecchi, doesn't it, whats with pantsu and lacey bra shot.
  • Aquarion EVOL is a sequel but you don't have to watch the prequel because it featured new cast. Judging by the poster, this one has the potential to be either really retarded or really bad. Oh hey, it's also a mecha and is that a bishie I spotted?
  • I got the urge to facepalming after I read the synopsis for Recorder to Randoseru 11 years old kid who looks like a grown man? 17 year old sister than looks like an elementary school kid? That just annoyed the fuck out of me already.
  • I hate cats to begin with so I don't think I will do well with Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki unless they have the same weird humor as Nyanpire the Animation. I doubt it though.
  • I dropped the first season so obviously I won't be bothered by the second season of Tantei Milky Homes 2. It is too childish for me.
  • Mouretsu Pirates is based on a light novel titled "Mini-Skirt Kaizoku". Err yeah I don't need to explain further >_>
  • Twei Wing sounds retarded (for some reason twang comes to mind and I associate that word with a penis >_>) so I'm not looking forward to Senhime Zesshou Symphogear.
  • High School DxD looks like a harem/ecchi show. This one is bound to make me rage.

Looking at the OVA, OAD and Specials, there are several shows that caught my attention, aside from the usual one like Usagi Drop, Steins;Gate, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira and Ikoku Meiro no Croisee. They are:

  • Ura Mirai Nikki because I can't get enough of Yuno Gasai.
  • Even though I have no idea what it was all about (and too lazy to search on MAL or ANN), Holy Night looks promising. I suspect that it would somehow be about vampire or something similar.
  • I will not miss the chance to watch a ufotable production which mean I look forward to Yuri Sejin Naoko-san, the first of the Anime Bunko series. Having said that, it doesn't really have the "dark" theme that is so well-known and one that we can associate with ufotable.
  • Then there is Minori Scramble, the second of the Anime Bunko series. It looks to have the same kind of outlook as the first anime of the series.
  • Gyo is the third and final series for Anime Bunko and unlike the other two, this one definitely looks more familiar to the other ufotable shows. Needless to say, I am the most stoke to watch this one.
  • My season won't be complete without a yaoi series and after a year of delay, Ao no Kusabi is finally getting the remake.

I'm not sure if the movies will be available online for the Winter. I think it was the release for theaters. Either way I am sure as hell looking forward to some:

  • K-ON! the movies. Yeah. I'm retarded. I missed Ritsu -__-
  • Hell yeah I'm not gonna missed Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen.
  • The Moon: Tsugi ga Hoshii to Oujo-sama ga Naita looks promising. That or I'm just a sucker for good arts and animation.
  • I'm still gonna leech .Hack// The Movie. I have all the series including the previous movies. I want my collection to be complete when I finally decide to watch them.
  • Whoa... the most interesting movie besides Kenshi gotta be Berserk Golden Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler. I hope the story is not about sperm *shoots head*

I am a little disappointed though because there is not a single anime produed by A-1 Pictures. Having said that it looks like Sugita Tomokazu is getting busy again! He has been pretty quiet lately (his only recent role is Switch in SKET Dance and of course Gintoki) and I missed him. So that kind make up for the lack of A-1 Pictures shows. I hope they are going to come back with an amazing anime comes Spring.

I wonder if Winter has always been this bad but we got Madoka and Level E last year for Winter. I rather have one excellent and brilliant show than 10 shitty shows with gigantic boobies. Hmm... looks like I have less to watch for Winter compared to this season. Almost half of the show ended up on my average and shitty lists. Maybe with that small number of shows to watch for the season I might finally have the time to go through my on-hold list. Blessing in disguise?

Anime: Winter 2011/12 v1

It has only been a month since the Fall started and I have yet to check out a couple of shows from the Fall season. Yet here I am already writing a preview for Winter 2011/11 all thanks to moetron. They even created the hashtag for twitter. Man, they are seriously dedicated people. Kudos.

I'm going to do this my usual way by dividing these shows according to my preference. First up is the MUST WATCH (indefinitely) list. The list may or may not change when we get the complete version of the chart. For example, I will watch anything that is produced by A-1 Pictures or has Sugita Tomokazu as one of their casts. Sometimes I am just that shallow :P

Anime: Fall 2011

Fall is upon us. It's time to update my Fall list and brace myself for a another couple of weeks of checking out new anime for the season. Nothing much differs from my previous selection of what to watch, ignore, considered etc but I did change my mind on couple of shows.

(chart thanks to Nelson)

(chart thanks to Neregate)

As usual I'm gonna divide this anime into several categories. First category is the MUST WATCH (indefinitely) shows:

  • You can tell I'm pretty fucking excited for Working'!!, can you not? I've been praying for the second season ever since I saw the last episode on June 29 last year. Hopefully the relationship between Inami and Takanashi will develop into a deeper more mature relationship. I can't wait to see Takanashi crossdressing again, among many other things ^_^
  • A noitaminA slot anime. There's no way I'm missing Un-Go.
  • Lupin III. I don't need reason for this.
  • To be honest I am not so sure about Guilty Crown until I saw who directs it. Although I am not a fan of his latest project HOTD but Araki Tetsurou has done more than proves himself with Death Note. Further more, this is produced by Production I.G. I can tell already that I would love the art and animation if judging by the character designs (from the chart) alone. Besides it's on noitaminA.
  • Alright, I am now totally excited with Kimi to Boku. I love a story about friendship among boys (yeah I'm limited like that) and I believe JC Staff will not fail me this time. I just hope that Chizuru doesn't turns out as a tsundere (Please JC Staff! Please deviates from your normal route of a tsundere anime!). So this show is replacing Fate/Zero for the time being ^_^
  • I don't play the game but I know I will enjoy Persona 4 The Animation. Why? Because I've seen enough yaoi fanarts of this show to get me excited. I know who else gonna watch this though. None other than Glo the Legend because Rie Kugumiya is in it. On a side note, if you are as clueless about the game as I am, maybe reading @fkeroge's explanation would help.

Shows that have the potential to be something more than average:

  • Since Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing features new characters, setup etc, then I will try this one out.
  • I know many people is excited with Fate / Zero. Previously I put this show in a MUST watch list but since I couldn't share the same enthusiasm about this show (unfortunately I've never really got myself "into" Fate much), I have no doubt that I will be a little slower at catching up the episodes.
  • I am not too sure about Mobile Suit Gundam Age but I've been following the franchise so I might as well.
  • I read the manga back when I was a manga whore. I can't really recalled what it's all about but if I read it, that means it must be at least good so I'm gonna see if Mirai Nikki lives up to my expectation or not.
  • I think I read about Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai in Glo's ISSS sometimes ago. I'm too lazy to look up for it but that gives me enough reason to check this show out.

List of shows that could be dropped if it turns out very predictable and cliche after the first impression post, or if I don't like the characters at all.

  • I remember my friend Daniel from the Gotei 13 who is so adamant that I read the manga of Hunter X Hunter and though I promised him, I never actually managed to. I feel bad about it so I'm gonna check out the anime instead.
  • One more mecha anime this Fall where the pilots looks like middle schoolers. I don't think Busou Shinki Moon Angel will appeal to me much.
  • Chihayafuru is an anime sport? I don't know what 'karuta' is but now I'm intrigued. Apparently this one is a josei.
  • I've read Maken-Ki and then put it on hold after the first arc. I remember it's a tad ecchi but I am usually more tolerant to ecchi manga than an ecchi anime so...
  • I still haven't watch the other Tamayura franchise but I will check out Tamayura ~Hitotose~ and see if it's a stand alone show or not. If it is then I might actually consider watching this one.

Shows that will be on my pending list because I haven't manage to watch the first season/prequel/whatever:

  • Sekaiichi Hatsukoi
  • Shinryaku!? Ika Musume
  • Fujilog Second Season
  • Shakugan no Shana III
  • Bakuman Second Season
  • Zero no Tsukaima Kessakusen

Shows that I won't bothered with except if I'm really bored and has nothing better to do than waste my time raging. In other words, the shitty shows. It could also be the show that I'm curious about but know that I only watch the first episode to prove that I'm right at how bad it is:

  • Chibi Devi! sounds too much like Beelzebub and the animation looks like it was too cute for my taste.
  • Looking at the synopsis, it was puzzling. Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle sounds too shallow for a good show but who knows if Junichi Satou, the director, can do a convincing job in making this one an exciting show. Then again, I have always dislike Sailor Moon >_>
  • It's all depends on Jun Fukuyama. If his character is believable then I might just watch Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon. Otherwise this will go to the waste bin.
  • Mashiro-Iro Symphony is using the same retarded harem material. I think I'll pass.
  • Oh noes, another harem anime? I expect an ecchi show so I'm gonna avoid Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! I don't care if it used exclamation mark in it's title. That's their deceiving tactic! I'm not gonna fall for it unless it turns out to be really funny and random.
  • Naked girl? C3 is another ecchi anime of the season. No thanks.
  • I have nothing against Battle Spirits: Heroes but it looks like a kid show and trading card games. Since I'm not into both, I'll skip it.
  • Same goes for Cross Fight B-Daman. What the hell is that shit anyway?
  • I read the synopsis and almost fainted at how fucking ridiculous Ben-to is. NOPE.
  • What is it with anime nowadays: moe and music seem to be the popular choice nowadays. I doubt I will enjoy Shinmachu MiRiKa 2nd Series. What what? This shit got a second season? O_o

My thoughts on OVA, ONA, OAD and Specials that matter to me:

  • Hidamari Sketch x SP is a Special two episodes to gear up for the 4th Season.
  • I'm a fan of Kami nomi so there's no way I'm gonna missed Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Yonin to Idol. This is just the intro for season three, I'm sure.
  • I'm not gonna missed the bishies in Vitamin X Addiction.
  • Unaired episode of Deadman Wonderland which I plan to finish anytime soon.
  • Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira simply because I can't missed anything from this franchise.
  • Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki the Animation is an adaptation of a RPG. That's all I know and it got me curious.
  • And then the usual suspects like Usagi Drop, Hourou Musuko, Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu: Sora ga Bokura no Nichijou, Kimi ni Todoke and Ikoku Meiro no Croisée: Yune & Alice.

Time for the movies!
  • I'm super excited for Tekken: Blood Vengeance. We hardly have anything bloody this Fall so I'm welcoming this movie with open hands. This also reminds me of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within for some reason. I must be going senile.
  • I need to get my hands on the first movie of Mardock Scramble!
  • The tag supernatural is enough to get my loads off Hotarubi no Mori e. The fact that Takahiro Omori is directing this just made me cum twice.
  • Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku is a 50/50 for me but since Madhouse is producing it, maybe it's worth the watch.
