Aku no Hana
It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.
A Year Older: Again
It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.
Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013
So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.
Light Writings: Love II
I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.
Light Writings: Crush II
Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

First Impression: Upotte!!

| urgh >_< (c) pixiv id 10550 |
Upotte!! is supposed to be a comedy hence all the bad jokes. I can see them trying very hard to meet that expectation but it just don't work. It feels like they are shoving those humors down my throat and it makes me gag. I tasted bile, especially when FNC was about to cum just by looking at her male teacher firing a gun. Or the male teacher getting a bOnar looking at her thong.
"I'd fired so fast with that big hands gripping me..."
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?
As for character designs, it makes me appreciate shows like Sakamichi no Apollon even more where the high school girls wear decent skirts and not some mini skirts to school. They makes the high school girls, or indeed female in general, looks cheap with all these mini skirts and revealing tops. I dislike that part of modern anime.
Well, I was right at how shitty this show is. I stopped watching 10 minutes in. DROPPED!

First Impression: Rinne no Lagrange
Producers: Production I.G, Xebec
Genres: Action, Comedy, Mecha
I wouldn't be bothered by this show if it wasn't for Production I.G. If anything else fails, I was hoping that Production I.G did their part and produced some good quality animation, just like they did with Guilty Crown. Having said that, I did drop that shit after the second episode. Good story > quality animation for me.
I did say that it looks promising in my preview but I do not get my hopes up when I saw the staff who are working on this show. They don't really has that much experience under their belt except maybe for the Series Production Director, Tatsuo Satou. Hmm, maybe this show can be their catalyst for stardom? Let see...
Fansub [commie] leaked the pre-aired episode and the quality was quite bad. Served us leech right but that won't stopped me from checking it out.
Rinne no Lagrange is about a girl who loves to help people out. The show started with her jumping into the ocean (she just happened to wear a swimsuit underneath her school uniform) to save a girl from drowning. She also always bring her jersey around, just in case. Her name is Madoka Kyono. She is helping out in every club that you can think of and is good at each of them which of course makes her a popular student at her school. Sounds normal enough, yes?
But of course her life was about to change forever. She was visited by strange person whose name is even stranger. Lets just called her
Nevermind.
Did I mention that her family is against her piloting a mecha, as if it was a job that was advertise in the newspaper? Unnecessary drama, in my opinion. Also, how the fuck does a highschool girl suddenly knows how to pilot a mecha? Oh right... their "hearts" were connected. DAFUQ!
But I am an optimistic girl. When I saw the two mechas fighting, and knowing that Array was this hot headed bishie, I immediately wanted to see these two persons fight again - in bed. LMAO
Just like that I have found my OTP.
Sadly though, the way these characters were depicted, there is little room for development. Take Madoka for an example: she is just depicted as a happy airhead who went along at anything that was thrown at her. If this wasn't the case, then this show could have some potential to be more than just a shallow mecha anime.
To make things worse, it has cheesy BGM too. At one scene when the bishies appeared, suddenly the airship turned into some cheap blues bar that you imagined was preoccupied by fugly hosts. They were trying too hard. It was rather annoying to be honest. Same goes for the OP and ED. Definitely not this show's strongest point. Then again, nothing is.
The animation was smooth as expected from Production I.G. The character designs however, are average at best. The hot bishies have this dead expression on their faces and the background could have been improved with more details. Also the choice of color could have been better. It failed to make this show looks more dynamic. Everything is just as flat and as bland as the plot (if indeed there will be one).
I might dropped this but if it manages to constantly pique my interest with the "fights", then who knows. But for me to survive the fanservice... This show is like them bimbos. Pretty to look at but dumb as fuck.
Recommended? Only if you a hardcore mecha fans.

First Impression: Rio: Rainbow Gate!
Let's get started.

The story is about Rio who everyone calls the Goddess of Victory. Stupid nickname but whatever. Everyone who meets her will have the luckiest day at the casino so she's very popular. She'll help her customer (I assumed different customer each week) through games. Then there's Mint, she's the customer for this episode. Mint met Rio and was obviously smitten by her. At the same time, there's this kidnapper who aimed Mint but with Rio around, she doesn't have to worry. I write this 5 minutes in. That's how predictable this shit is.
It wasn't even logical. I know casino will try to prevent people from winning. That's how they make their money. It's illogical for them to adore Rio like that since she's causing everyone to win. Stupid anime with stupid plot this is.
The characters were boring as fuck. Even the female protagonist, Rio. It was a torture. They don't look lively at all. The background music was too fucking cliche and the seiyuus did nothing to make the characters stand out or have a character of their own. It was all too fucking blah.
I couldn't finish this shit without me raging so I quit half through. What a crap. This belongs to the "anime shit" list. I take my anime seriously.

First Impression: MM!

When I first saw the synopsis in Scamp's chart, I thought that this show might be interesting as it focus on masochism. What I didn't expect however is how fucking stupid this platform can be if they fucked it up.
The person who has the masochist tendency is none other than the protagonist, Tarou Sado. One day he went to the 2nd Volunteering Club (WTF is with that name anyway? It represent shit about the club) to tell about his "problem". Little that he know the president is a psychopath. Fortunately though this just works perfectly for a perverted asshole like himself, who loves being abused and fuck he was being abused from start to finish. Jeebus, it gets on my fucking nerves.
For fuck sake, if you want to cure someone who is a masochist, fucking stop abusing them! But then again Mio is pretty much a tsundere sadist. I say fucking cure yourself first, you slut!
Whoa, I was ready to give this shit up when suddenly I was hit with a BL plot?! WHAT?! This is so not fair!! Thank fucking heaven that the BL ended before it even started otherwise I might be forced to watch this shit till the end >>
The fact that Tarou is voiced by Jun Fukuyama and Tomokazu Sugita even has a role in this one does nothing to calm my rage. I can't believe I just wasted half and hour on this shit.

First Impression: Occult Academy

Oh, another show from A1-Pictures? Heh, I know I'm going to like this just because of that. The first minute of the show was intriguing enough to make me nods in approval. This is another show that I look forward to this summer just because the story promised something different.
The academy is linked with demon, spirits and other dark stuff that it got the nick name of Occult Academy. On the day Maya returned to the academy, it was to attend his father's funeral and take the responsibility as the new principal of the academy. She wants to destroy the academy and has her own reason for that. At the end of the episode, she met with a naked guy who literally fell down from the sky (rather gracefully I might add) and so the adventure begins!
Hehe just like the synopsis from chartfag says, this show is a combination of horror and comedy. The transition was done seamlessly and effortlessly making it so entertaining. For example, at one point Kozue was devoured by the evil spirit and in the next second she was chanting "megane megane" in a really retarded you-can't-help-but-laugh situation. Not to forget the flashback of Maya doing some scary stuff that I couldn't help but find funny and adorable at the same time. The dialog/script was pretty casual and honest too. It is definitely one of this show strongest point in my opinion. At one point Maya even used Porco Rosso as reference and I think that was awesome and totally honest. I would called someone Porco Rosso too if he/she fits the description XD
I also particularly like the character designs. It is something fresh and the movements are all very fluid. Even though they all look normal but they have this certain quirks that makes them likable, This means that I like the arts and animation. You don't see these kinds of animation too often. I dunno. I'm just getting a really good vibe is all and may be biased because this is developed by A1-Pictures.
The OP and ED will grow on you though have you seen the ED? Something different again. Like! As for the seiyuus, I am not familiar with any of them but they are really in their niches with this one. Kudos.
I really do enjoy this one and just like Highschool of the Dead, I couldn't wait for the next episode. This is going to be the fourth series that I'm following this summer which mean this season is decent so far. And to be honest, I am enjoying this one more than the other anime at the moment.

Pandora Hearts

The story is about two people, Oz and Alice who made a contract in the Abyss, a place where the condemned was sent. At first I wasn't sure why Oz was sent there on his coronation night but gradually as the story progressed, the pieces of the puzzle fall into places.
The Abyss produced Chain, a doll-like creature that want to be in the real world to obtain power but the instability forced them to make a contract with a human, just like Oz and Alice. However, the Chain will gradually extinguished the human. Once the seal on the contractor's chest is completed, they, together with the Chain, he/she will be sent to the deepest Abyss and this time there is no turning back.
Oz comes back to the real world after 10 years he went missing in the Abyss so Gil, his best friend cum servant is much older than him and is working for Break and Sharon. These two, just like the Baskervilles, are searching for the Will of the Abyss and apparently Oz is the key to it.
The only reason Alice wants to get out of the Abyss is to search for her memories so together with Oz and Gil, they search for it. In their quest both Oz and Alice find out the truth about their past and at the same time, they try to stop the hand of the seal from moving, with the help from other people who either care about them or just using them.
The art is nothing amazing. The background or the surroundings are pretty much dead, as in static, most of the time. The colors used were too contrast with the characters at times which kinda made them looked out of place. Possibly to follow the theme of the show. Having said that, I really do like the character designs. The males especially are what I would called bishies. They are really pleasing to the eyes. The females aren't bad either but since I'm not gay, I'll leave it at that. To be honest, the reason that I was attracted to this series after all, was after I saw the characters in the DVD special, which kinda explained what a huge pro they are.

I like Oz but my god he can be so damn annoying sometimes with his insecurities. He needs to grow some hairy balls, is what I think. Because he has yet to have them balls, I say he's gay for Alice. Oz is the key to the Will of the Abyss (wanted by the Baskervilles) thus he keeps getting into trouble as he tries to find himself and helps Alice.

She's the chain for Oz. She was once human but she got murdered and ended up in the Abyss as B-Rabbit. That was where Oz found her. She took Oz as her manservant which in truth is the other way around. She came back to the real world to find her memories in order for her to remain herself. A definite tsundere when it comes to Oz. Loves to eat, especially meat.

Gilbert 'Gil' Nightray is the loyal servant/butler of Oz and has the power of Raven from Nightray. He is Vincent's brother. Just like Oz and Vincent, he is one of the few who managed to escape the Abyss. He is the only one that can sealed B-rabbit's power. His weakness is cat. Definitely gay for Oz and can't see eye to eye with Alice which consequently provide quite a lot of comic relief.

Formerly known as Kevin Regnard. The user of Mad Hater's power. The most powerful one out of the bunch. Very sly and cunning. Reminds me of Ichimaru Gin what's with his gray hair and crimson eyes. They even shared the same kind of creepy smile. However unlike Gin, he is pretty funny with his carefree attitude. He loves sweet and you definitely don't want to piss this guy off. He has a very interesting background story that kinda surprised me. Eccentric guy over all and my favorite character in the series.

I am not sure what her relationship is with Break but Break called her Ojou-sama and she has no qualm at beating his ass with her fan. She has a chain too named Eques. Definitely a sadistic.

He wanted to erase anything that can recalled what happened 100 years ago. Master of Echo. Most definitely gay for Gilbert. Not so right in the head but he has very cool eyes. One could even named him the series' psycho resident. It is either you like him or you hate him. I happened to like crazy evil people ^o^

The one who stopped the Baskervilles 100 years ago. He appeared as fragments of Alice's memories and helps Oz a lot when he is in a pinch. He also warns everyone about the return of Glen Baskerville which obviously will repeat the Tragedy of Sabrie again. By the way, he was the only friend of Glen and vice versa. It must have pained him to stop his friend from going berzerk. Pretty good

Another little brother of Gil. He is the voice of reason for Oz. I like him straight away. He is the only one who can tell Oz to be a man and take his own destiny into his own hands instead of giving up on his life thinking that it would solve all the problems. He's valiant and funny and

She is Oz's sister. Very gentle and such. I don't usually like this kind of character but I like her for some odd reason that I am not too sure what. She looked like she has a brother complex but then we found out that she has a b0nar for Gil. Priceless XD
None of my favorite seiyuus are in this production but Vincent was voiced by Jun Fukuyama so a plus there. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Oz was voiced by a female so yeah, the seiyuus are good nonetheless. Also I like OP song more than the ED song as it is more catchy but not as much as I like the song Lacey from the pocket watch. It kinda present the anime with a whimsical yet foreboding feel which is perfect for the theme.
I do enjoyed Pandora Hearts. The plots are mysterious which keep me guessing from one episode to the other. It makes me interested to see the next episode to find out what will happened. There are also occasional unexpected comedy in it that I appreciate. What I didn't expect however is the end. It poses more questions than answers which can only mean one thing... second season! I look forward to watching that.
This actually made me want to pick up the manga...

First Impression: Ladies versus Butlers

The anime is about a boy who looks like a delinquent and just transferred to a private school that teaches you how to be a maid/butler/servant. Point #1: stupid premises.
On his first day at school, he was mistaken as a delinquent by a girl whose hair looks like a croissant, it fucking pissed me off. The boy, Hino Akiharu, called it the drills.
She is a stuck-up bitch who goes around flaunting her family's name: Flamehart. Apparently Cernia is one of the main girls in the series. She was pissed of because Hino name-calling her hair decided to charge at him. The plan back fired. Instead she got molested and she was excited by it too. I hate her right away. Point #2: stupid heroin is stupid.
By the way, for whatever fucked up reason, whenever the girls student saw Hino, they fell unconscious. What's up with that? And then he was mistaken as a lolicon pervert. If that is not enough, he almost got raped by a crazy bitch with boobs the size of his head. Point #3: stupid gags are stupid.
Yes, we have established that already when you almost cum just with his head in between your butt-cheeksBut wait, there's a silver lining in the cloudy sky! We have Suzuhashi Tomomi a.k.a. Saikyo. A win character in otherwise moronic-fest of boobs. She is the other heroin of this series. A childhood friend of Hino and she is going to make his life a hell. Point #4: Sadistic girl is win!
They have not introduced the story yet but I am sure that Hino will turn out as a butler for the Flamehart and Cernia would want to get in his pants sooner or later. I think all the girls would, except for Saikyo because she's not a loser like the rest of them. Even if she did fall for him, it just to satisfy her sadistic-self and makes Hino a masochist.
The censorship is uber stupid: smokescreen. Obviously this is an ecchi anime which is probably why this is the first and the last time I'm gonna watch this. Unless someone said something intriguing about it, like Saikyo raping Hino's butt >=D
The anime is cutesy enough I guess. All the boobs looks like they are hanging mangos with tits, jiggling at appropriate times. The characters are okay. They kinda introduced a tsundere, a sadistic, a loli, a nun, the ghotic chic, the clumsy maid and a pervert bitch. I also suspected that Hino's room-mate is actually a girl. Harem WTF is coming soon >_>
The predictable storyline is weak. This has potential to hurt my brain so I'm going to put it away.

Kyou no Go no Ni OVA 2: Treasure Chest

The class of 5-2 is back to bring more of the subtle mature humor in this OAD! Say aye class! AYE!!!
As usual the girls and the boys are against each other, competing and arguing about every single things. The OAD has 4 segments. It start with them having to clean their school backyard (it was summer). Then the boys found a pillbug and were fascinated by it. Of course the girls were afraid of the bugs, except for Aihara (she's cool like that).
After they are done with the cleaning, they got to use the pool.

Needless to say, the attempt was a phailure. LOL
After that, they are back in class and it's already autumn. In one segment they are obsessed with Saoto's head/hair that looks like maple leaf. I love what transpired next. hehehe

For the winter segment, they are playing snow fight. Heh, the boys lost, as per usual. I swear Natusmi has a dick in her pants! XD
This somehow lead to the girls having a breast measurement in the infirmary. They don't even wear brassier yet so WTH? Anyway, Saoto, as always, comes to the infirmary at the wrong time so yeah ^__^"
In the last segment of this OAD, to gain his friends attention, Saoto called them names and havoc ensued. We got to see the kind of interaction Saoto and Chika has though. Heh, it was sweet to say the least.
The songs (there are plenty, one for every segment) are sang by the Friends, just like in the previous series. I like the third song the most though.
The characters still used the same voice actors as in the series so I like the consistency of their personalities. No changes in the character design or how the story is written either which are another good point about this OAD. It just feels like I am continuing with the series instead of watching a separate episode of the anime.
