First Impression: Fireball Charming

I never did finish Fireball (TV). I have forgotten what was the last episode I watched. Nonetheless, Fireball Charming excites me (albeit a little) because I want to see if Drössel gets any upgrade.

Well, look at that... she certainly got an upgrade (or a downgrade, depends on how you see it). Though she looks different, she is still the same Drossel von Flügel, kinda annoying but adorable at the same time. As for Gedächtnis, I can't really tell the difference.

The first episode is about Drossel's encounter with a human so as usual she' learning about stuff as Gedächtnis guides her. You can't expect more than that for this short show.

Disney Japan is still responsible for the production of this show. For the 1 minute 59 second of this first episode, I couldn't find any fault with it. It was pretty and of high quality, as expected from such studio and the voice actors did a good job displaying the characters' personality despite one of them was one bulky think tank machinery. My only concern would be the dynamic and development of the characters. Can they do it?

There will be 13 episodes for this show and it is less than 2 minutes long per episode so there is really no reason why I can't watch this and pick up the old season at the same time for the sake of watching. Then again it all depends on my time. They are so precious nowadays...

As you probably know, I have figma and nendoroid figures of Drossel and I'm sure Good Smile Company will come up with this upgraded version of her anytime soon (if they haven't done so already). It has been a while since I reviewed my figures (there are at least 10 boxes still unopened) and I haven't keep up with the latest releases either. As you can see, I'm neglecting that hobby of mine for the time being because I let life fucking me in the butt at the moment. Things will hopefully resume back to normal soon.

Nendoroid Drössel

I forgot when did she arrive in my mail box. Probably back in February. I totally forgot to make a post about my latest figures (there are a lot of them) until I saw a folder that has "gambo patung" (translated to figure pictures) as it's title. There is no special reason why I chose to do a post on Drössel first. Just because.


So nendo Drössel pretty much came with the same parts that her big sister Figma has except for the book. Apparently nendo Drössel is lazy and I believe a bit dense despite the size of her head.


I have yet to try the light of her eyes though. Probably never will *shrugs*

She can stand on her own when she's wearing her normal head piece. She does looks kinda cute, isn't she? She has lost her sassy-ness with her decreasing body size.


However once she tried out different head piece, it was obvious that she has lost her balance. Even the stand is not sufficient to make her stand up right. I have to hold her up.


I think it was a shame though because just like her sister Figma, I love it when Drössel adorned the above head piece. It might be because of the flower design but yeah, I like it a lot.

Just like Mio, I is yet to take her out from the display cabinet and have her mingles with the rest of the figures family or have a family photoshoot. I am too busy nowadays and barely has time to spend times with my kids T_T

I'll make it up one day. Hopefully.

Raisins

I am a fan of raisins and since my sister is pregnant I have been nagging her to eat lots of raisins and prunes among other things. Raisins are said to be good for baby's mental development and great for healthy gums and teeth for the mother. Those are not the only benefits though. Violet Kisses

I have been wanting to try out Comic Life ever since I did the reintroduction for my Bleach's figures. This story came up out of nowhere after I took several pictures of Rukia in the jar so pardon the lame-ness. I personally think the strips were crowded. Hopefully I will develop a decent skill in the future so the strips would not suck as bad as these few.

Take a dip

This was taken during my last week's Friday (October 9) escapade to Kota Tinggi waterfalls. The day was hot and sticky so my family and I decided to go to the waterfalls to refresh ourselves. The waterfalls is less than an hour away from my house so yeah, awesome XD

These shots were random with no stories in mind. My mind was fully occupied by the thoughts of soaking in the ice-cold water that seems to beckon me ever since I arrived at the entrance. Did I mention that it was a sunny hot and sticky day? Perfect for taking a dip in the refreshing cold water.

Drossel has found us a safe location to put our belongings

Although there are benches provided by the management, it is still too far away from the water. So to ensure that our belongings are safe when we are in the water, we have to put them on the rocks where we can always see them. I sometimes wish we are more like the Japanese so that we don't have to worry about our stuffs while we are having fun in the water. Japanese are a bunch of honest people.

OMG just look at how tempting that water is ^o^

It was raining the day before I went there so the water level rose, very much to my delight.

I am thankful to the fact that the place is still covered with greenery. However look can be deceiving. At the entrance of the waterfalls, there is a mine that are operating ever since I can remember. Most of the trees and the hills at the entrance are now gone forever, replaced by a barren scenery. What they are doing is slowly nurturing the global warming. I hate them. I hate the damage that they have inflicted on nature.

Drossel asked if she could have a dive in the pool too. I said no.

Oujo-sama doesn't take no for an answer (yes that's my foot -__-)

She was pretty pissed and was ready to go hyper on me

Since I'm not in the mood for a hyper Drossel, I let her have it her way -__-

As you can see, she was pretty happy, waving to anyone who bothers looking

chillaxing

Because it was a weekday, there are not as many people as they would have been on weekends. Apart from my family, there are only a bunch of people around: few teenage boys (as seen in the above pictures), a couple from Singapore, another couple who kept asking me to take pictures of them, and a group of Indian guys. We kinda have a silent agreement and take each part of the pools to ourselves. It was fun.

Then she wanted to try out the big one. I told her it will be her suicide. After some deep thoughtful thinking, she walked away ^^" (can you see the couple smooching in between her legs? >D)

She complained that water got into her ears. I told her to shake it off. It worked, miraculously XD

This is the last photo I took of Drossel at the waterfall before an accident happened which I rather not talk about. Cookies for those who can guess though!

Alright here are few of the scenery photos that I took before I jumped into the water.

The waterfall is located 15km north-west of the Kota Tinggi Town. It is 36 meters high and located at the base of Muntahak Mountain.

The waterfall is not the same as it was back in the 90's though. The natural beauty of some part of the locations has been spoiled by artificial landscapings. The management made it into a water theme park which is just pure moronic in my opinion. The middle part of the ground pools are totally ruined. It is no longer suitable for chillaxing. When the water level falls, there aren't enough water to make the water slide working. So what was the purpose of having a water slide, ne? Like I said, moronic desu!

And don't forget the absurd entrance fee! MYR7.50 for Malaysian adults, kids is around MYR4.50 (i think. Not sure) and they charged MYR3 for vehicle. You can't bring your own food but the food sold at the "water theme park" tasted like shit. It was like they were giving you an ultimatum: Either you starve or eat shit.

Figma Drössel

I've waited for her for two long agonizing months. It was only recently that my order was confirmed. She finally arrived early afternoon today. It goes without saying that I was super stoked. I couldn't wait to get my work done so that I can spend time with her.

She comes with 5 pair sets of hands, a stand, the PROSPERO book, the flight unit Obruchev and 2 different sets of fashion units for her head.

She thinks education is important and shares that thought with the other figures. Konata of course didn't take the lecture seriously

I love taking pictures of her back. I think she's sexy that way. Just look at that ass!

I couldn't find any fault with Ojou-sama. All the joints are perfect. So are the accessories. What I like the most about her is her flexibilities without having to rely on her stand. I can see why figuretards go gaga for her. Even though I have to pay double the price for her, it was worth it. Now I shall wait for her nendoroid version :3
