Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Just die, Kirino - Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Episode 8

Urgh, so in this episode, Kirino's novel was already published and just as expected, she got tons of fans. Well, the same with what's going on atm, isn't it? There are tons of Kirino's fans out there who worship her for reasons that I can't think of besides them being a pedobear and a lolicon. If that isn't bad enough, there was also rumors of her novel getting the anime treatment. Seriously people, just WHAT THE FUCK? You guys seriously need to stop producing all these garbage. You are just encouraging people like Kirino who thinks they got what it takes when in fact, the kind of story she wrote are fucking cliche and shallow and stupid and annoying, just like the kind of anime/eroge that she got her inspiration from.

Indeed

It surprised me that she doesn't have that much knowledge on studio, seiyuu and all the shits that go into an anime. Oh wait, all she cared about was fucking the imouto. My bad.

So she forced Kuroneko and Giant Girl to accompany her to the anime meeting. If I were them, I won't go after how she conducted herself. She needs to get on her knees and get the fuck off from that high horse she had been riding nonstop. Unfortunately I can only dream. She still ride that horse in the meeting with the anime staff. She sure loves to hear her own annoying voice.

I'm so glad that the anime staff didn't go with her ideas. Someone needs to put her back on her place.

She was so shock by the treatment, she fainted. HAH! Does she really thinks everything in this world will go the way she wanted to? Does she really thinks that she can make everyone a doormat like she did with Kyousuke? HAH think again bitch!

The truth is, they only decided to make her novel as anime because they don't have any other choices. It was meant to fill in the gap because the anime they set their eyes on got canceled. This explained why the staffs don't give a rat ass about her ideas besides the fact that the ideas were suck and rotten.

Once Kyousuke got the wind of the situation, as a doormat he can't simply sit around and do nothing.

No, Kyousuke. You can really not do anything about it. Seriously. Really!

So once again Kyousuke disappoint me. He went with Saori and Kuroneko at the next meeting as Kirino's proxy. But he didn't do shit. If it wasn't for Kuroneko, the anime would have been canceled or proceed like the staff planned it. Kuroneko puts her foot down and be frank with what she thinks. She was awesome.

She asked questions that Kyousuke too afraid to ask himself.

Lies

In the end, it was Kyousuke who went down on his knees for Kirino's sake. Needless to say, I was appalled. Even more so when Kirino thinks that they accept her original work because of her.

Die, you fucking bitch.

I can talk about how anime adaptation can ruin the original work of a manga/novel but I'm pretty sure we have a lot to talk about that already in others' review of this episode. The issue they raised here was a valid one but this show is about the imouto so I'll focus on that instead of what the story is trying to tell us.

So much shit in Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Episode 7

After last week’s episode, I am really not looking forward to see episode 7 because I know they’ll just focus on Kirino. After the lack of appearance last week, I’m sure many of her weaboo went into a rage fit. It was unfortunate really because without her the show was suddenly became so much more entertaining.

This week, Kirino invited Kuroneko for a home screening. This happened because Kuroneko has only seen 6 episodes of the moe show Kirino recommended. I really find it annoying when someone tries to make me watch some ecchi shows and the way Kirino hassled Kuroneko about it pissed me off. You like what you like and it’s okay if the other person disagreed with you. Ain’t that part of the fun? The disagreement? The debate?

I got to hand it to Kuroneko for even trying.

Kirino was so childish, she went up to her room and left Kuroneko alone in the living room after they had an argument, which started off because of her stuck up attitude. Kuroneko did a good impression on her though. Anyway, now it’s up to the doormat to settle things.

You’re not the only one, sister.

Seriously, I want to fucking butchered her. I write for a living and I do write fanfics whenever I feel the urge to be romantic so I know why Kuroneko is so pissed off. She’s literally a joke with that shallow mind of hers.

Kyousuke patched things up by forcing them to watch the moe Meruru show as planned. When that show got on the big screen, my rage meter went over the roof. Fuck, that was retarded. I can understand why most people find otaku disgusting. It’s people like Kirino who gets excited watching a little girl naked body that set things on the wrong direction. Not only it’s moe, it’s stupid and degenerate the mind too.

Kuroneko pointed the reason why she (and me) doesn’t like this kind of show:

Yes, someone who finally gets why I think most of the OP nowadays sucks!

I want to marry Kuroneko.

Because I've seen titled spoilers here and there, I kinda know what to expect for the second half of this episode and it was one of the reason why I'm dreading it.

Kirino made such a big deal when she found out Kyousuke watched porn on her laptop. Jeebus, even if he is gay, he will still watch gay porn. It's what healthy teenagers do these days. One would thought that she as an eroge otaku would understand this theory but no... she was definitely not happy about it. Drama queen fucked up ensued.

As usual, for every mistake, Kyousuke has to pay for it. This time around, he needs to help her with her fanfiction. He practically needs to get hit by a truck just so she can research how her character would truly feel. Fucktard.

I can't believe that a publisher actually wanted to publish the shit.

It just pissed me off when Kyousuke became her doormat oh so willingly. This is my biggest reason so far for not liking this show. I think it just devalued the quality of the show. I don't care if he does it for the love for his sister but it just grossing me out.

Because you are a fucking tool

I don't even care if Kirino "accidentally" confessed her real feelings for Kyousuke in this episode. This tsundere needs to get fucking hit by the truck herself. She's just using Kyousuke to have a self-satisfactory date so that she can fap to the "memory" whenever she's horny and/or thinking of fucking her own brother.

A bucket of water? Jeebus.

A love hotel? What the fuck is fucking Jeebus is this shit?

Unless of course Kirino suddenly did a gender swap then I'm all for it! LOL

This incest got my approval XD

Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Episode 6 - Awesomeness!

Yay Manami is back!

A good example how a quote can be taken out of context especially since Kyousuke is blushing like that

I am happy that the episode started with Akagi (who btw is way hotter than Kyousuke) asking Kyousuke if there are more than "just a friend" feelings when it comes to Manami. Of course Kyousuke went out of his way making out ridiculous example of his situation with Manami, comparing her with a grandma. After all that effort, he said this when Akagi asked him if he's okay if some guy ask Manami out.

You gotta love denial

So Kyousuke went to Manami's house after school only to find her dead grandpa who looked like zombie from HOTD. Turned out he was just playing dead and even went as far as getting into the refrigerator to get the body temperature right. I wish I have such cool grandparent too.

I don't know what was wrong with Kyousuke but he can't stop blushing with every little thing Manami said to him. It just made me giggles like mad.

You should always listen to your elders

I forgot to mention about the Halloween. Manami invited Kyousuke to her house so that he can taste the candy she made for the fair, which Kyousuke will be helping out. He ended up having a sleep over at her house too. Chance!

I don't usually like characters like Mamami who is timid and so dere but I go all moe for her in an instance. This is new for me. I am still wondering whether I like her because I can't stand the thought of incest between Kyousuke and Kirino and was hoping that she can steer Kyousuke into the right path.

Kyousuke did say something tactless, about how he doesn't mind staying at her house and everything which I think offended Manami because he made it sounds like he doesn't considered her a girl, just a childhood friend. I understand your feeling Manami.

Word

Which is why she's bold enough to do this:

Word XD

Which Kyousuke respond with this:

LOL I loved it!

I couldn't stop laughing. Even more so when the Grandpa pulled a prank on them, putting their futons together in one room. The way Kyousuke analyzing the situation, it was obvious he wanted something to happen. If that's not enough, the Grandpa did a somersault in order to push and lock them inside the said room.

Oh man, words cannot describe how awesome this excuse is

I mean it's not really a big deal. They just sleep together, not having sex! Kyousuke is not Haru which is why I like him a tad more. During the sleep over, they get to talk about their future, of going to college and such. I love that scene and a screencap won't do it justice.

I really hope these two will end up marrying each other. They are just too perfect together and Kyousuke is not a doormat when he's with her.

Kirino who?

LOL alright alright. Kirino bought a dakimura in this episode. I never feel the urge to but a dakimura. I think it's ridiculous and borderline creepy when I heard people blow their loads off with dakimura. But then again, if they made a bishie character that I love, maybe I'll be one of those creepy people too. Not that I'm suggesting anything. LOL

Kirino was seemingly upset that Kyousuke didn't get home though and I know why. She can't wait to tell him about the dakimura. Sheesh. Who has a brother complex now.

Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Episode 5

I wasn't so sure whether to do an episodic review on OreImo but thought that I might as well do it since I'm gonna write shit about it in my diary anyway. So here it is my thoughts on episode 5 of OreImo even if I'm several days behind the blogsphere hype.

I already know that I will have a lot to rant about when I saw how Kirino treated her anime friends and forced Kousuke to yet again cover for her in front of Ayase. Dude, if you can't be honest with your bestfriend, than she's not your bestfriend!

Maybe because I have always been honest with who I am and what I'm obsessed with or things that I hate so when I saw Kirino being a hypocrite bitch, naturally I was raging. I think that is a poor excuse to be a bitch.

Serves her right that her bestfriend apparently a psychopath. The weather conviniently matched the drama that unfolded.

If by any chance that Kirino going to blame Kyousuke for what happened because he was the one who suggested the Comiket, I'm so gonna butchered her. But even she doesn't do that, she does this:

and this:

Oh fuck!

Of course she'll be emo about it. It just fits her role of being the cute little sister. This is getting old indeed. So since Kyousuke still wants to help her out despite that his weaner can no longer be used, he called up Ayase.

Ayase then proceeded as to why she can't have Kirino as her best friend anymore. She was influenced by the media and the public perspective. To her anime is like a disease that slowly corrupting the brain of Japanese people. LOL she isn't wrong either, is she? I think I have become an even more lewd person because of anime influence but hey, my hobby doesn't harm other people, so what is it to you?

But if an animetard became a pedo in real life and electrocuted a girl, that would totally be a valid accusation.

So what Ayase is saying that she's in fact looking out after Kirino. Pfft they truly deserved each other. Having said that, I understand why Kirino chose her hobby instead of her bestfriend. In this sense, I guess I am lucky that my bestfriend and my friends have no problem with who I am as a person, even after they know of my hobby and obsession. They don't have to like it but they just have to understand that I like it and be okay with it. Isn't that what friendship is all about? There is no boundary or limitation. These two need to learn that life lesson which I'm sure Kyousuke will try his best to teach them.

Or he just asked his dad for help. That could work too, I guess *facepalm*

Urgh.. that was tactless.

Oh well, I think Kirino kinda redeemed herself towards the end of the episode. That's the right attitude that she should have since the beginning. Better late than never. She's lucky that the psychopath happens to be a lesbian who happens to be in love with her XD

How nice...

And here I thought that was it but nope Ayase still being a bitch about the hobby. So what did Kyousuke do? I was hit with another unexpected twist.

Yeah... WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK WAS THAT? o_O

That was fucking gross. If I was Ayase, I would have reported him to the police.

Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Episode 4

Okay, I get it. Kirino is an otaku but why do I feel like she is forcing her hobby on her brother now? What bothers me more though is how easy Kyousuke agreed to her every orders. Then again, he has always listened to her every whim even before he found out about her hobby right? No wonder she is such a brat.

If my sister/brother talk to me like that, I'm so spanking her/his buttock and make her/him clean up my room for eternity.

Fuck it Kyousuke, slap her!

So Kirino invited her friends over and warned Kyousuke not to leave his room. I got a sick feeling that she's actually jealous if just in case any of her friends might find Kyousuke as attractive. She forgot though that Japanese wall is paper thin so Kyousuke can pretty much listened to their conversation. Urgh, I can't believe how fake and a hypocrite Kirino is with her normal friends. Gross.

Kyousuke received a box from Saori. I immediately know what was inside it but Kyousuke is stupid so he lets Kirino jumped him and took the box. I mean, the box clearly has HIS NAME on it! Gah! So he has to retrieve it from Kirino before she opened it in front of her friends. Yep, Kyousuke plays the hero again.

Fuck I'm getting sick of this. I think he should just let Kirino learned her lesson.

But at least he got his benefits XD

So yeah, needless to say I was feeling quite gross with the turn of event. If a family member accidentally grab my boobs like that, I would have reported him to the authority. On the other hand, since Kirino is so damn obsessed with siscon, she might actually enjoyed it.

And I think it only happened in anime because in real world, once someone accidentally fall on a person and his hand is magically fall on top of that person's boobs, he would have let it go in an instant instead of contemplating about it. Unless that someone is a pervert.

Because of that, he was sent out of the house until her friends went home. I mean, it wasn't even his fault. He was trying to save her the embarrassment for fuck sake.

Thank goodness one of her friends aren't like her. I see love triangle brewing and for that I'm gonna like Ayase.

The second half of the episode is about the Comiket. Kirino just can't fucking shut up. She keeps on complaining, one after the other, not an ounce of gratitude to Saori or Kyousuke. She acts like she's the boss of them even when Kuroneko won the eroge CD for her. It wasn't cute. It was fucking annoying.

At the end of the Comiket, Kirino met her bestfriend Ayase. I'm sure Kirino will make a big deal out of it in the next chapter, like she always does >>

I ended up talking about myself - Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Episode 3

(c) tsuruta hitomi

I heard a lot of things about Ore no Imouto go Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai this week so naturally I look forward to episode 3. I hope this week is as good if not better as last week's episode.

Kirino kinda reminds me of myself when she went to Akiba and bought the limited edition figures. I would buy and think later when it comes to the character that I am obsessed with (example: Ritsu). But if I need to compare myself with the most relate-able character in OreImo, who have the same kind of taste in anime and the way she lives her life "normally", I have to say Kuroneko.

I love how they interact with each other at Akiba. It just show how passionate they are with their anime, despite the difference in tastes. I'm sure that many of us have been in the same situation before, debating about stuffs and arguing about which anime/character/genre/seiyuu/etc is the best. But at the end of the day, we are all feel fulfilled because we got to share our passion with someone else who is just as crazy.

But this is not what the episode is about. Episode 3 is about Kirino trying to get out of the closet and come clean with her parent of her real hobbies. I think she's a tad envious that Kuroneko and Giant Girl can be so honest about it with their families. I don't think she's ready though, judging by her reaction when her dad found out about the eroge. I don't blame her dad. Any parent would freak out when they found something erotics.

So it was Kousuke's responsibility as her brother to take the fall. I gotta hand it to him though. If it was me, I wouldn't even bother from the beginning. She smacked him right in the face for trying to help her, FFS. I would probably just let her solved her own fucking insecurities problems.

But of course. I have to put my blame on the media for creating general public perspective that anime is bad influence for kids. I mean, even in Malaysia, one of the state has already banned anime. I say that the general public needs to be educated. That is why I am constantly talking about anime whenever I got the chance and is basically very open about it. Having said that, I'm known for being perverted because of it. LOL

In Kirino's case, it also has something to do with the word "otaku". In any other part of the world, that word has totally different meaning and implications. Some, like in the US, even take that word as complimentary hence why many bloggers flaunt that words in naming their blog. In Japan however, that word is considered derogatory and always connected with negativity. So naturally her dad will freak out, just because he is the typical Japanese dad trying to raise a typical Japanese family. Kousuke explained it to her nicely.

If it was me, I won't go on a tantrum like Kirino did, crying about it like a spoiled brat. Truth be told, sometimes my parents are worried about me. I spend my free time in front of the computer watching anime instead of going on a date or socializing. I spend thousand of dollars buying figures. They don't understand it so I do get scolded once or twice about wasting my life with these stuff but I just shrugged it off. I still talk about anime and still buy figures and other merchandises. I understand that they can't help but worried about that kind of stuff since it is what parent does, but they also have to understand who I am as a person/human being. I know I'm not getting younger but at least I know I'm living my life the way I want to live it. I didn't turn out as a hypocrite. That's how I see Kirino atm.

She should just stand up to his dad and be frank about it, just like Kousuke did in her stead. It rather annoys me though. Kousuke imo kinda over did it. If I was the dad, I would probably kick him out of my house for being so annoying.

But for all his trouble, Kirino finally called him "aniki' so in the end it was worth it for the perverted Kousuke.

(c) yanagida shita

On a side note, I thought it was rather sweet of Kousuke talking to his "girlfriend" before bed times and how they kinda understand each other without having to say much. I think we have something going on here. He is obviously oblivious about her feelings but I am rather excited to find out whether or not he will notice it at the end. If he does, then will he accept her? Gosh, I am really into romance this season, aren't I? So why am I not liking the romance in Bakuman?

Diary of a tard - Week 2, October 2010

Sunday, October 10

I am determined to watch the remaining fall anime that are on my hard drive today:

Finally, I got to see episode 5 of the Wagaya no Oinari-sama Special. This time they are all at the beach with all kinds of adventures. Gah, I want to see the other 7 episodes. Anyone has any idea where can I get the torrent of it?

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (jeebus, that title is a mouth full -_-) episode 2: Surprisingly Kousaka has good ideas. I mean, I get into blogging and RPing because I want to find friends who share the same passion. I can't relate to Kirino for being so reserved though. Probably because I live in a society that is still pretty naive about otaku or simply because I don't give a damn about other people's opinions about me. I can't imagine myself hiding the fact that I love anime/manga/figure or how big of a tard I am. And I think meeting IRL kinda cool but I don't want to meet any girls. Just boys please. I don't get along well with girls. Anyway, Kirino made friends with Saori and Kuroneko. I love how they interacted. They insult one another and have disagreement about their taste for anime. I'm definitely on Kuroneko side. MOE CAN JUST FUCKING DIE! I have had the same argument countless times with my friends since the K-ON invasion. Oh god, listen to me talking about myself instead of the show. Yep, that's how relate-able it is!

trufax

Monday, October 11

I am watching episode 2 of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. In the first half, the girls went to school and exterminated the bee monster. It was okay until Panty decided to have sex with the rugby team. That is just awkward, man. But that just only the tip of an iceberg. The second half was full with dirty cheap sex jokes, it made me cringed. it left a really bitter and bad taste in my mouth.

Friday, October 15

Fuh, I thought Haru gonna get lucky in episode 2 of Yosuga no Sora. Sora just wanted him to measure her for the school uniform which mean she'll be going to the school in this episode. Looks like Akira has some dark secret about her parent that she wanted to hide otherwise people around her won't be too sensitive about it. And somehow she's related to the Ojou-sama. Ah this is a disappointing episode. I want some twincest action! But I think I like the end skit with the maid. ^^"

Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge episode 2: Continuation of Kou meeting the Amazoness and her tengu (who btw are just men wearing tengu mask and shirt with a bra printed on it). She's protecting some stupid ice-cream. Just WTF? The Amazoness was supposed to be this really scary character but turned out she's just plain fucked up. I found her rather annoying but I admit she's slightly funny too. Looks like the other residents of the bridge haven't met her yet. There is a new character introduced: Captain of the Earth Defense Force. He's there to combat the Venusian. He really has an over active imaginations. Kou's plan to send him away backfired. By the way, we finally have an ED and who sing it? Tomokazu Sugita as Hoshi! w00t w00t!! Instead of just the Kappa, we have a real life action Hoshi. I wonder if Tomokazu wears that mask for real.

You really got to hand it to JC Staff. The animation in Otome Youkai Zakuro is so freaking fluid and pretty. It is what makes me want to continue watching it. In episode 2, they have to send away a spirit at a hotel. The mission ended up quite a mess. Hanadate came and saved the day. Zakuro is completely smitten with him but there's something about him that I can't trust. He kinda reminds me of Gin.

First Impression: Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

The show started with a sister waking up her brother for school. I have seen this kind of scene numerous times before. Usually it's either the brother waking up with a morning wood and get released with the help of his sister, or the sister initiated the morning wood. Thank goodness that this didn't turn out quite like that.

Kousuke Kousaka, the brother in question, was actually very doubtful of his sister's attention because usually his sister just kinda pretends that he does not exist. Oh wait, that is just him dreaming. Obviously this guy has a sister-complex thus the title of the show.

He found a DVD with a really innocent cover but very devious content. I'm sure it's an eroge of incest. Just a nudge that he needed >> Only a pervert with sick mind like him would feel guilty when found something like that. Other brothers would just leave it at the place where he found them, after they watched and fapped to it quietly.

But I guess I have to remember that the hero is usually have that admirable trait about him. So he found the culprit and was very cool about it. Heh, just a tactic to enslave his little sister I tell ya!

And it works! It really did! His sister has a 180 changed of attitude. She even woke him in the middle of the night and asked him to go to her room. Lucky bastard.

*chuckles* if only that was true. Unfortunately all she wants is a life counseling as she showed him how much of an otaku she really is. To be precise, she is obsessed with anything that has "little sister" in it. Damn, now I feel sorry for Kyousuke. Obviously he doesn't stand a chance. Kirono is gay. But he's not going to give up as he promised to keep her secret. Hoping one day she'll realized how big a sacrifice that is and called him Nii-chan in bed.

Hahaha fuck, I am such a perverted psycho.

I guess it does feel pretty cool when I start listening to Kirino excitedly and proudly explaining the anime stuffs and presented her collections to Kyousuke. That's how I am too when I talk about anime. I believe many of us found this scene relate-able. I kinda hope they used real anime shows and manga as reference, like Bakuman did. That would make this show more cool. But, did I see a figure from Lucky.Star?

I understand the frustrated feeling in your guts, Kirino

So I can't really not like Kirino. She reminds me of myself except that I don't have a little-sister complex. My obsession is just yaoi. As for Kyousuke, I can't really take him seriously so far. He just lack that commanding attitude about him. But he is kinda charming.

The art and animation for this show is commendable. They gave a 100% and this can be seen with the smallest details. For example when Kyousuke pour drink from a box. It makes me happy to see the details of the drink filling up the glass. Having said that, I do have a slight irritation with how the female characters all walking with a constant blush. It feels like they are always in a heat or something. Also the animation kinda a little sharp at times too. Aniplex and AIC Build must have tried their hard knowing that the fans of the novel will murder them if they don't. I mean, there are plenty of Kirino figures out there even before the anime exists, just goes to show how big of a fanbase it has.

I have said in my review for Zettai Karen Children OVA that I would remember Yuuichi Nakamura. I am so happy with myself that I fulfilled that part. When Kyousuke open his mouth I jumped with glee. Yuuichi is definitely turning out to be my top three male seiyuus. As for Kirono... Fuck, I really need to pay attention to the female seiyuu as well. According to MAL, Kirono is voiced by Ayana Taketatsu. Now that I have looked at her disco, she does sounds familiar. Speaking of sounds, I didn't remember if this show has an OP/ED. If they have, I certainly don't remember them. Yay for being redundant!

I don't read the novel so I don't know what is going on. However it was interesting that they covered the otaku part. I mean, I'm very open about liking anime and such. My family knows about it. My friends too. They may think I am weird but they don't say it to my face and even if they do, I don't give a damn. Their opinion does not define who I am. So to see a Japanese family member being so reserved about it... now, that is weird. Is the community outside of Japan more open to otaku-ness than in Japan itself?

Overall, I do enjoy this show. It's either because of Yuuichi or the fact that this show is about a girl that I can relate too. Probably both. I am definitely more than willing for round 2.

art & animation 8/10
story 7/10
character 7/10
sound 8/10
enjoyment 7/10
overall 7.5/10
