Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Diary of a tard: Week 2, November 2012

Tuesday, November 13

I came across Spotted Flower by accident on twitter but once I clicked on that link, I can't stop reading it. It's about a newly wed otaku and his pregnant wife. Looks like his wife got him on the leash and she is horny all the time. It's an interesting take of how otaku men will react when given that kind of situation. He sure blushed a lot more than she did heh. She always tried forcing him to make love to her but he just can't, or rather not interested, since she's pregnant and all that. Well, I can't blame her. 9 months without sex can be suffering XD

this page got me hooked :w

Thursday, November 15

Kyousogiga episode 3: Yase Youkai ain't exactly as she looks. She has quite a temper and will turn into a monster whenever something displeased her. This episode is sorta all over the place. It's about Station Opening where all things that are no longer needed will drifted away to who-knows-where. It is also sort of an introduction to the youkai's world in general.

Jin to Neko wa Yobu to Konai (NSFW)

Reading yaoi in the middle of afternoon is a tell tale sign that shit in life is not going according to plan. My choice for this afternoon is Jin to Neko wa Yobu to Konai. Fuh what a mouthful. This is a side story of one of the yaoi I have read earlier... Let see if I can remember which one was it... Oh yeah it's Kojitsusei no Tobira. It was good so I expect the same greatness for this one.

NOW KISS!

Jin and Cat Won't Come When Called is the english translated title for this one. It featuring Jin who appeared in the manga I reviewed above as a side character, an informant. This story of he and his best friend Mari takes place a few months and maybe years after that manga. These two friends have been together since childhood. Mari now live as a hired assassin while Jin, like I said, is an informant. They aren't gay for each other. At least not yet.

As the story goes, Jin fall for a kid who is the brother of his enemy, who is another informant. Mari does not like where this is going, knowing that when Jin gets serious, he gets confused as fuck. Jin however does not appreciate Mari's concern and for a moment they drifted apart. Mari was right though since Jin still sleeps around just to gather info. He knew that Jin will get hurt sooner rather than later. Mari on the other hand is living with Pippi, who is some sort of his pet so to say. That poor guy has been castrated and he is neither a he nor a she. Mari took him in when he has no place left to go and so Pippi often pretended to be Mari's boyfriend whenenever there are people who are interested in Mari showed up at their doorstep. That people in question is Mari's partner Yusuke who have fucked him once in Colombia but that's more like raped than anything else since Mari was so out of this world that he can barely move. So you see, Mari hated this guy for a reason. But Yusuke is not going to give up. He will have his way with Mari... and fuck it was a good smex!

ALLTHEFAPS!

*cough*

Most of the story is viewed from Mari's point of view and for some reason I always find my heart aches for Mari. He might be the loneliest guy I have ever seen in a manga. It seems that Mari and Jin belong to each other but like I have said they are quite denial of that fact. How the fuck is that supposed to work out? I am not pleased that their story doesn't exactly has an ending but at the same time I'm satisfied with how their story was told. It torn me. But fuck it. I still wanna see them fuck each other senseless and not fuck someone else!

*sighs*

The story is only 2 chapters long though and the rest of 4 chapters are stand alone stories about other couples for our musing. I thought the mangaka should focus more on the real story of Jin and Mari but I guess leaving their story hanging could provide some gratification to an extend. We as the readers can do our own conclusion. I appreciate what the mangaka did with these individual stories though because the smex was kinda hot.

But I won't go into the details. Read it yourself.

Koujitsusei no Tobira

It's Christmas and I have nothing better to do. My plan for today was canceled and I'm too lazy to find the route to attend a BBQ invitation. So here I am sitting in front of my computer, not sure whether I should start the merry day with yaoi or anime. After a quick deliberation, yaoi wins. YAOI ALWAYS WINS.

So I started the day by picking up some random yaoi at Animephile. Koujitsusei no Tobira or Heliotropic Door in English (whatever the fuck that means) is a shouta-con yaoi (but not really) and also has the potential to be a threesome. Sounds interesting enough for me, especially with the art. I like the art very much in this one. I know I made the right decision. This is going to be fun!

Kai is the adopted son of Cys' brother. When he died, he sent Kai to Cys who gets attracted to the boy who is (supposedly) 14 years younger than him. Then there's Jin who always come in and out as he please to Cys' house, who is also a voyeur.

The story is quite different from your typical yaoi which is why I bothered myself by writing a review about it. This is not your usual light fluffy love story between men that has it's usual conflict and problems. It has that element of mystery from start to finish. The story is complicated since we keep second guessing what Kai is up to, if he is who he says he is, and then there is Jin as well who I still need to figure out his character even after the manga has come to an end. The fact of the matter is, everyone has a double life in this manga.

I mentioned earlier how much I like the art. Well, that was an understatement. This story is set in France and Shoowa, the mangaka just did a well done job outlining and sketching the city. S/he managed to capture the essence of it. The details are stunning as well from the characters (though I wish the s/he gives more attention to the penis) to the interesting interior.

If you think this is good, wait till you reach the sex part lol

Though the sex part weren't the focus of the story, the mangaka was very good and knew what s/he is doing. From the erotic kisses to the hot sex, she got all the angles right. The art is handled very gracefully, there aren't much effects in the panels if you notice, but that emphasizes emotions even stronger.

I think Shoowa did a great job with the pacing and keep me on the edge of my seat at all times. You'll be surprise at how good and solid this one is.

Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu

It has been a while since I read a yaoi manga. I read occasional doujinshi but they are all crappy. So when I found something like this, it feels awesome. I don't even care about the colleagues as I read this, which is clearly NSFW.

Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu is a prequel to another yaoi series, "Don't Stay Gold". I learned about this series thanks to mcdvojka when I saw her tweet. Glad that I picked this one up.

This manga by Yoneda Kou sure is not an ordinary yaoi. S&M is in full force with occasional rape or two which just make this one just nice for my taste. LOL. This is definitely one of the most honest yaoi manga I have ever read for the past year. If the author sounds familiar, its because she has written many of my favorite yaoi manga like the recent Doushitemo Furetakunai and Eros in the Stoic.

yummy

Yashiro is a masochist with a tad of sadistic personality as well. He is as gay as one can be and call his partner master. He has scars and burns all over his body. He even dislocated his shoulder. Yup, this man here likes it rough. It all started when he was raped by his stepdad when he was 10. See? Most of the time, such incident what triggers people to be the way they are and we have no right to judge them.

Then he met Kanji, someone who doesn't appear to be sadistic but has fetish for scars, burns and scabs. LOL match made in heaven, no? But it wasn't as easy as that. Kanji is a very reserved and cold person who thinks no one else can understand him. This posed a problem for Yoshiro who can't seem to get closer to Kanji, even though he's falling for him. Hard. You know it when you think of that person while you masturbates. Heh. I can totally relate to Yoshiro. Not that I masturbate, mind you LOL

I've been in your shoes, Yoshiro

Yoshiro is the kind of guy who doesn't give a flying fuck of what people said about him. He just do whatever he feels necessary. This side of him totally reminds me of myself which in turn made me totally fall for him. Since I can't, because he's gay and all that, I want him to jump Kanji and rape his ass till he can't walk properly for the next fortnight. That would be awesome.

But Yoneda Kou has different ideas for this manga. It doesn't has a happy ending but the end gnaws at you all the same. It evokes the ronery feelings I have been experiencing for the past few days so naturally it makes me bawls.

Now if you excuse me. I'm going to read the sequel which I have already read once. Time to re-read even though it will just break my heart because I feel so sorry for Yoshiro :(

This one is definitely better than the sequel.

Doushitemo Furetakunai

I'm on depressed mode. There is shit going on in my life that I rather not think about. I want to watch Gintama but not in the mood for anime at the moment so I choose to read some shounen-ai instead. A little BL goes a long way for me.

Doushitemo Furetakunai started off kinda different from the other BL/yaoi manga I have read before. It is definitely engaging. The dialogs are nonchalant yet funny at times. Not to mention that I like the drawings. When man looks like man, you know the mangaka got talent.

Now I have all these ideas in my head for my fanfics. Awesome.

Anyway it is about Shima-chan who is a quiet type of person and always looks like he's depressed. He got a job and met Togawa. It wasn't apparent, his liking but you eventually picked up the signals. The moments how they get together were sweet. The mangaka didn't push it.

All the kissing scenes are damn hot... *drools*

There is not much of a story if you don't have the element of drama. Shima is gay. He accepted that. Problem is Togawa is a straight guy and wants family with kids. I understand how Shima feels. You can't really choose who you want to fall in love with. You just did. Shima does not plan to fall in love with Togawa but he is not going to deny his feelings either. More power to Shima. Ah, he reminds me of myself ;_;

This manga deals with real emotions. Nothing is sugar coated. I have been there done that sort of things. That is probably why I love it so much. It doesn't try to be pretentious. It definitely has been a while that I see something real in BL. Most of the time, it is just too idealistic.

Good read, indeed. Now I am all happy and fapping ^__^

I know that feeling all too well, Onoda

Heat

I am familiar with Ikegami Ryouchi works and have read Bestia and Lord before. After reading Sekijitsu's post regarding this mangaka, I feel like it is my calling to read Heat XD

look at that fucking tattoo! coolness

Yeah, I succumb to the temptation. The dick is too inviting to ignore. LOL

This manga was released in 1999 which kinda explained the clothing style of the characters. Heat is a collaboration between the author Buronson and the artist Ikegami Ryouchi. It has been classified as action, drama and of course mature, like most Ryouchi's work. However, the manga so far has only 4 chapters updated so far. 130 chapters to go.

Heat is about a man name Karasawa who is part of a Yakuza group in Japan. He's the owner of a host club. I love his method of obtaining the place, which he successfully got in only 2 days time. He was a nobody at that time and have become such a fearful figure in the underworld. Bad ass.

That was his fucking dick, btw

His favorite pass time in my opinon is giving some random ladies buttsex rape, who eventually will masturbate by just thinking of his face. LOL

Obviously he has countless enemies who wants him dead but they all either ended up dead, thrown out of the window head first, or get their wife raped by Karasawa. But he also has loyal people surrounding him in particular Kim (who by the way has an awesome dragon tatoo on his back) and a guy with the glasses which I don't get what his name was.

Best part is, there are Malaysian gangster involved! lmao how fucking appropriate.

Zanbara

You guys probably know how much I like blood and weaponry especially that of a katana right? I love violence in anime/manga. They promised so much blood and action. They make me drools.

Hence why I love reading Zanbara. I first read it back in February and kinda forget about it until I check my mango list again. Zanbara is created by Katagiri Ikumi. The same mangaka that collaborate with author Ninomiya Ai that created another josei Are You Alice?

Ichiyo and Akehiko

Zanbara is set during the Bakumatsu period so that in itself is interesting because stuff like this always reminded me of Amatsuki, which is one of my favorite manga of all time.

Like most manga that falls under the josei category, this one is full of bishie too. The two protagonists however are still underage. They are both 15. Wait, 15?! Ichigo is 15 but he looks like it was legal to rape him. These two kids definitely looks like shouta. Crap, my inner shoutacon is beaming ^_^

*spoilers up to chapter 5*

These two brothers (by adoption) are always competing with each other. From fighting to the smallest chores. Ichiyo is the serious one while Akehiko is the easy going one. Ichiyo often forget stuff and Akehiko will remind him about it. Ichiyo is a sleepy head and Akehiko is the energetic one that will carry Ichiyo when he's asleep. Oh and they are both ill-tempered. Perfect balance.

One day a thief got into their house. As expected the two of then chased the running thief and split up hoping that they cornered him. That they did but they were only armed with wooden sword while the thief has a katana. That's when they met Okita Soji. Yep, you guessed it. He's from the Shinsengumi. Again, what's with the name? Is it some kind of like a designation? Anyway, Okita might looks like he's a pansy but he's fast and good with the katana *squeals*

Obviously Ichiyo and Akehiko was amazed by Okita's skill and that's why they want to join the Shinsengumi. They want to be the best and the strongest. I have no doubt that they can.

The truth is, the family was hiding Ichiyo so when trouble appeared (someone broke into their house), the family decided to send them both away to the capital as a way to protect them. They took this opportunity to visit the Shinsegumi.

They met with lots of different people and even ended up being a bodyguard at one point as they searched for their destination. Ichiyo also begin to change. He became more solemn and this made Akehiko laden with worries. He made me worried to. Uguuu~

So yeah, I'm not going to spoil anything else. There's a lot of chapters coming up and I look forward to it. Reading Zanbara is fun. It has you on the edge but calms you down with the subtle humor and the ongoing banter by the two protagonists.

I so approved of this josei.

HACO

HACO is another one-shot manga that I couldn't resist because it has the shounen tag. Its about a girl named Kusakabe Honoka who has a disease that is yet to have a cure. His father is a scientist so he decided to put Honoka to a cold sleep and hope that in the future when she finally wakes up, there will be a cure for her disease.

Little that her dad knows that in the future there are no human left. The only other being around is Haco, the nanoroid who learned about speech and everything else from the war movies.

Of course there is the monster too. You gotta have monster or a very bad villain in shounen, right? Otherwise the protagonist served no purpose. And of course the protagonist must have superpowers or something that makes them special. In Haco's case, well he's made from nano machines/robots.

He can even becomes an ugly bike hybrid. All that he needs are keywords that was left by Honoka's dad. Honoka made full used of him. Together they went searching for other humans because she refused to believe that she's the only one left, and apparently her dad might be alive as well.

Let see what can I say about this one... The plot is stupid. It was not even interesting. The comedy was lame and it was a bore-fest. I won't be reading the series if it has one in the future.

Nekura Musume to Internet

The reason I picked this one up is easy. This one shot is from the same mangaka that does Yandere Kanojo. If you haven't read Yandere Kanojo yet, well... you sucks because it is one of the funniest shit ever, and very honest in its presentation of feelings which contribute to the funneh. So yeah, what I am trying to say is, read Yandere Kanojo!

This one shot tells the story of Morinaka Iyo, a hikikomori who is addicted to internet and refuse to go to school. Her homeroom teacher, Taiga, however will not let her has her way. Hilarity ensued, just as expected from Shinobi. Shinobi is the mangaka btw, if I haven't mention him yet.

Says he, after breaking the door XD

Being a hikikomori has made Iyo socially inept. She's terrible at face to face communication so she shuts him out. Oh no, Taiga is not giving up on her! It is one way or the other! What did he do? He created a discussion board to share with the public of his predicament. Turn out that it was freaking popular too!

LMAO!

So anyway, like I said, Shinobi has this way of being totally honest that allows you to related with what the characters were talking about. Example?

TTGL reference FTW!

Who can't relate to TTGL right? I thought so.

So.. err yeah. Long story short I enjoyed this one. Though not as much as I enjoy Yandere Kanojo, it is still up to my standard for comedy.

Cecile's Feelings

Cecile's Feelings is another one-shot from the same mangaka that did Baby Cinnamon, Inugami Sukune.

Cecile is a student at a college. One day she met her junior who was interested in going to the same grad school as Cecile. They talked and the sake kept coming and when she awoke the next morning, the junior was besides her in bed, sleeping, naked under the sheet.

Man, why can't shit like this happen to me? Oh yeah that's right... I don't drink. Fuck, reading stuff like this makes me wanna try to be a drinker. But dammit, my resolve is too strong -__-

When the junior woke up, he obviously freaked out. Cecile, being the more matured person in this situation handle it nicely though. Again, just like with Baby Cinnamon, this is like reading a page out of my life book. Not funny.

But then the manga went down the cliche road. The junior apparently has always had a crush on Cecile. O-M-G, get the fuck out already. No one is that lucky!

lucky bitch >=(

The first few pages were okay but then the story went downhill because it was so damn predictable. Too much cliche will kill you.

Baby Cinnamon

This is a one-shot manga from Inugami Sukune. It is about a tsundere editor and a glass wearing mangaka. I am an editor so obviously that is why I picked this one up.

Obviously the mangaka did not realize that the editor has feelings for him because she was always so serious when it comes to work. But that is to be expected. An editor cannot has a relationship with the client. It's work ethics. I have experienced this shit before and has suffered because of it too. Stupid rules. Whoever made this one up must be a total fag.

Anyway, it was the mangaka last submission since his manga got canned. So he submitted his work, went back home to sleep only to get a call from the editor telling him she has lost the manuscript. I was surprised he did not strangle her because I totally would. She was acting all transparent and obvious. Not remembering a single thing? You whore! Why don't you just pull down your pantsu and...

Oh wait, she already did >_>

Damn! I wished I have the guts to do that. Even if I do have the guts, unfortunately I still can't do something like that otherwise I'll be fired. Story of my life... Why do I seek forbidden romance, one after the other?

*sighs*

Anyway, this was surprisingly a very good read. Recommended!

The removal of matured content manga

Yeah, the interweb, specifically those who is a tard for manga like yours truly, has been buzzing with the rumor of Google and Viz being a dick by requesting manga sites like mangafox and onemanga to remove manga that has either lolicon and/or matured and/or adult tag.

Some of the manga in questions have their tag removed or changed. Some were denied access altogether.

I can no longer read Switch and even Dorohedoro is under surveillance. Loveless is no longer Yaoi (WTF?!) and Dance in the Vampire Bund has been denied because of the lolicon tag. Even worst, in some manga like Harem de Hitori, the adult contents were removed.

I feel that this is unjust. What happened to creative freedom? This is just stupid!

This is the interweb for fuck sake. This is my isolate paradise. Where do I supposed to turn now when I'm horny?

I need my fucking yaoi and occasional hentai!!

Negaigoto 300000km/s

One of the reason I picked this one up is because it was from the same mangaka, Megumi Kouji, who did Bloody Monday which I read but have to put on hold because life gets too busy for me.

This one is a romantic shounen one-shot, telling the story of two friends who have to part ways because one of them is furthering their study in the city. The manga start with them as a child, making a promise under the full moon. Cliche as fuck.

Meguru is moving away while Taichi wants to quit baseball because things are too busy at the shop (another cliche fact) and be an assistant coach. Yeah, I don't get his logic either but whatever.

Taichi and Meguru has been friends since childhood but keep their feelings for each other a secret until Meguru's last night in that town, and this kiss

Look, I'm not much of a romance fan. My kind of romance deals with blood and knife and badassery but once in a while, to read something mellow like this is pretty nice specially when I need some inspiration for my fanfic. The story is definitely not original but I forgive the mangaka because it wasn't a bad one-shot. It was short and sweet. If it was any longer, I would have dropped it.

Countdown 7 Days

Countdown 7 Days is a one-shot from the same mangaka that does Replica, Karakara Kemuri. This one shot tells the story of Mitamura. He is cold, sly damned glasses wearing jerk. One day he met Onigawara Hanasuke who doesn't realized that he was dead. Sixth Sense anyone?

I was not sure whether or not to picked this up until I read this:

That panel made me laugh so considered I'm sold. It's a one-shot anyway and I like Replica so there is no harm on finishing this.

And I am glad that I did because it's surprisingly funny. I enjoy this a lot especially Mitamura's cruel sense of humor XD

Mitamura is actually a teacher at Sheol (that's 'the other world' to us human). He teaches the soul that is to be reincarnated. He was looking for a girl, Shimizu Tsuru, when he met Hanasuke. So he made a deal with Hanasuke that he will revived him if he managed to find that girl, granted that he must do this within 7 days. By the seventh day, the hole under Hanasuke's fit will be big enough for Hanasuke to fall into and go to Sheol.

Of course Mitamura was lying. He cannot revived the dead. This is where it gets a tad more interesting as few other characters were introduced. It also further explained why everyone hates Mitamura and how he find himself in this seemingly meaningless search.

The story is not original. But like digitalboy said, it's all been done before. However the mangaka managed to make things interesting with the way he wrote it and the comedy elements in it. The ending too kinda keep me guessing and a bit unexpected so that's a good thing.

I really like the art. Just like Replica, I really have to give credit to the mangaka. Just take a look at all the bishounen in this one and it should have explained a lot of why I picked this one up in the first place. The mangaka nailed it when it comes to facial expressions because it seems real and look god damn good.

Bloody Little Circus

Bloody Little Circus... Pfft! I was cheated. There is nothing bloody about this bloody circus!

This is another one shot manga that I picked up randomly. I shouldn't have though. Luckily it is just only 20 pages long.

It is about a vampire girl name Anna who does not want to suck on people so for her alternative, she sucks on animal but did not kill them. Instead she has them as their servant with cute little wings attached.

One day, a circus came to town. A handsome young man is the leader but Anna is not attracted to him but at the white tiger that she has seen for the first time. So she decides to steal it.

She was caught red-handed but just like any other ring leader, the handsome young man can only see her as a vampire with an ability to juggle. Ka-ching!! That's a pot of gold, I tell ya! Unfortunately he's no match for Anna. WTF.

Ability Shop

I'm bored. Instead of doing my work, I'm reading one shot manga and at the same time try not to get caught doing it. I picked Ability Shop at random since it has the shounen tag on it. (spoilers ahead)

Ability Shop is about an inept boy who can't do anything right. He was bullied by his peers and pressured by the adults. One day as he walked back home from school, he broke a sign of this one peculiar shop. Not knowing that the journey up the stairs would change his life forever, he took one step at a time, trying to apologize and let the owner of know that it was an accident.

The owner, a neko girl however has something else in store for him. You see, this shop sells abilities. The payment is the customer's remaining lifespan. The bigger the abilities, more lifespan will be taken away.

Since he did not believe her, he tried with the ability to study since he has an exam on the next day. The neko girl took out a register and make the sales legal and took 3 years off of his life for that purchase.

He felt giddy with all the praises he received so he went back and kept purchasing one ability after the other. He becomes cocky and depends on the store. He totally lost his shit.

That is of course until the girl of his dream made him realize how far gone he is. Cliche plot FTW? I won't read this if its become a series manga unless they introduce some really hot male protagonist.

Switch

Switch is a collaboration manga between Otoh Saki (story) and Tomomi Nakamura (art). Together they are known simply as the Naked Ape.

Switch featured the criminal investigator Kai Etou and his partner Hal Kurobayashi. These two do not see eye to eye, or I should say that Hal appeared to be very annoyed with Kai. They have totally opposite personalities so that's probably why. However as they work together, they created a bond between partners which run pretty deep.

Both of them are part of the Narcotic Control Department or Matori and their goal is to catch the Ryuugen, the most elusive drug dealer ever. So far Sawaki, one of the Ryuugen front men, has made himself known to Hal. This only increased Hal's determination to catch Sawaki and both the Right Arm and the Left Arm men of Ryuugen. Together with their comrades, Hal and Kai solve case after case hoping that it would get them closer to Ryuugen and crack the mystery behind [switch].

Hal can be considered the ace of the Matori. He is cool, smart and aloof and pretty much perfect as a cop. He is the kind of guy that won't make mistake in an investigation and who is not afraid of death if it means that he can get the work done.

Etou on the other hand screwed up a lot and caused the department substantial lost when it comes to catching their targeted criminals. But once he gets serious you don't want to be his enemy. He's like the police's psycho resident. The manga is yet to reveal what the deal is with his split personalities though. Even Hal is in the dark about it. The only one who might has the slightest idea about it is Hiki.

There are other interesting characters as well, like Sawaki. He's a badass badass. Very elusive and the only one who escaped from Hal. That gotta say something about him. There is Ibu, the self-proclaimed front man for Intelligence Department but he really does do most of the work. There is also this chic Mari who is an excellent drug appraisal expert. She has a crush on Kai. And then there are Keigo Kajiyama and Hiki Masataka. Keigo is the Chief of the 1st Division of Matori. Hiki is the big boss of Matori. He might be smiling all the time but he's very sly and you don't want to mess with him. He reminded me of Aizen.

I like the art. If I do not I would not have picked up the manga in the first place. However, the translator sucks sometimes. Sometimes I need to read twice to get what was going on in a panel. It has nothing to do with Otoh's story writing. I am just ranting because it can be frustrated at times.

Hal: my favorite character of [switch]

I recommended Switch to some of my friends and for whatever reason, they said they kinda read shounen-ai in between the lines. I said WTF?! because there is no BL in this manga. We even have Mari trying to get in Kai's pants all the time and Hal always pulls the ladies-man persona whenever he's undercover. So seriously, WTH man... I'm a big yaoi fans and if I can't detect any BL in this one, it means that it has NONE!

Are You Alice?

Another josei that I picked up recently. This manga pretty much is the alternate version of Alice in Wonderland with a little twist here and there. For example, this manga is full of bishie (one of the reason I picked it up in the first place).

I saw Are You Alice in mangafox a couple of months back but for some reason was not interested in it at that time. When onemanga released it, for whatever reason I feel intrigued to see what it is all about. Although the story might be similar to Alice in Wonderland, I am sure the mangaka (collaboration between Ninomiya Ai (author) and Katagiri Ikumi (artist)) might just promised something twisted that will entertain me. Probably.

Pfft who am I kidding. Of course it will. This manga falls under the josei category for a reason.

The reason is, they made it a all male-characters. Bishounens at that. So yeah, I'm pretty much where I want to be right now, blissfully ignorant of the real world ^o^

At first the story kinda confuses me. The protagonist is obviously a male but everyone keep referring him as Alice. Alice, obviously, is not a male's name, unless he's gay and Alice is not gay (sadly). The same goes for QUEEN of Heart when obviously he has an analog stick attached to his pair of balls but people keep referring him as a she. So what the heck? And if that ain't confusing enough, they put Alice (yes, THE Alice from Alice in Wonderland) besides the protagonist and she is evil! Yep, that is pretty much how fucked up and twisted this manga version of Alice in Wonderland is. People might hate it but I happened to like it. Definitely something different and in my book different is always good.

I can't remember the story of Alice in Wonderland to be honest but in this one, the Queen (shouldn't he be called KING instead?) of Hearts wants Alice to play the "kill-the-white-wabbit game" in order for him to keep the name Alice.

Alice may or may not turn out to be the real Alice. I guess I just have to continue reading to find out what happened next. After all, it is only three chapters so far.

Bleach: Chapter 384

I am not sure why Komamura and Shuuhei were so surprised to find out that Tousen can used the mask, hence made him a Vaizard

I mean what did they expect? I facepalmed when they were standing there stunned by what they have just saw. It is not like they haven't seen Ichigo's hollowfication. Although Ichigo's transformation during his fight with Byakuya ain't complete, it was still hollowfication whichever way you look at it.

So what next? Shuuhei was cut by Tousen even before he can blink. Only then Komamura came to his senses and started to attack Tousen. Too late you dog-face.

And then they had this conversation:

Tousen spoke the truth. It was blatant irony. Ichigo didn't ask for it so it was okay for him, and the rest of the Vaizards to use it? Even Komamura admit the difference in power so why does it shocked him that someone wants that power? This is the perfect example that ignorance doesn't necessary means bliss. In this case, ignorance is youaresofuckedupyoudidn'tknowwhofuckedyou.

Oh hooray! I thought Shuuhei had fallen for sure. Apparently he was not and he kinda hot being all sweaty and bloody but that besides the point. We got to see a little flashback when Tousen still has afro and Shuuhei was a pussy.

Eh wait. He was cut again while he preached about Tousen's words of old *double facepalmed*

Jeebus... but on other note, Tousen's mask roxxor, looking slick as shit. He was also kinda cool when he said his fear has always been that he would die as a shinigami. Hahaha win!

I'm so looking forward to see Komamura get both his and his bankai's asses kicked by Tousen. Bigger does not necessarily means better. Yammy is a pretty fine example, no?
