Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

First Impression: Danganronpa Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei

I quickly judged that this show cannot deliver what it promised based on the studio and the plot that I read from the preview. However, I heard a lot of good things been said about this show on twitter so I guess I was wrong?

So naturally I'm looking forward to check this out.

(c) Mico

Well, the start of the show is definitely intriguing. You don't get to see that everyday. But it quickly goes down hill from there. The plot isn't actually original. How many times have we read/watch something similar where they gathered bunch of kids in one place and forced them to kill each other in order to survive, in this case, get out of the school.

The characters are not really special either. I feel like the anime is mocking me with the character designs. Some of the personalities are OK I guess but just take a look at the protagonist for example. He's weak as fuck and it is really annoying. One of the guy, the most meaty one at that, wears a girl's uniform. Just what the hell? Is this anime supposed to be funny or serious? It can't be both at the same time. Sadly though it seems like the studio can't decide to be which and just go with it.

Urgh I'm still mad that they chose someone that weak to be the protagonist.

Let's just hope that shit will get better with the upcoming episode. I'm sure one of them will snap and kill. Maybe then this show will appeal to me. You know, blood and all.

I don't remember writing my preview thoughts for this show because it wasn't included so I checked MAL and by just looking at the poster, I can pretty much tell that I'm gonna like this show at all.

And boy I was right. There's too much muscle involved. The protagonists are giants while everyone else are midgets. The story took place during the Sengoku Era so there must be some political shit involved as well as samurai and what not. In any other show, I would probably be interested but this is just too blurgh for me.

Some fujoshi might like it though since the two protagonists are best friends and all so they are definitely BL material.

Watching the first 5 minutes were torture so I decided to stop. I'm dropping this shit.

I wasn't sure why didn't I put this anime in the anishit list when I first wrote the preview. I mean, reading the synopsis made me facepalm. An anime about hair is somewhat sounds so pretentious to me and for some reason I somewhat dreading this shit.

Let see if I'm right and that this is going to be one hairy ride.

I watched this when it was first came out. During that time, I was busy as fuck so I didn't have to write a proper first impression post. I regretted not writing one since I have to rewatch this in order to remember what was it all about.

Yes, it's forgettable.

This show is about Shino and Sousuke, both has the power to control/be animal who lives as monk at some mountains. The Church are interested in them and knew that they can find the gems that they wanted so it was their mission to retrieve those gems or death by the Church law. Oh they also need to protect their sister Hamaji (not by blood) from being used.

Yeah, the plot is fucked up too.

There's really nothing interesting that worth mentioning about this show so I think I have finally decided to drop this shit. It's far too shoujo-ish for me.

I read a lot about this show on twitter but I somewhat managed to filter them out and so I an sitting here without any expectation whatsoever. Lets hope it can blow my socks away which is going to be a feat since I am not really a fan of mecha to begin with.

(c) pixiv id 3119841

Well, the good thing about this show is, I can not give a fuck about the mecha because the villains, those damn bad sadistic boys, are what makes this show interesting for me. Haruto? Valvrave? I don't give a shit.

I like the fact that L-Elf is one cold blooded murderer. He and his boys are the reason I'm going to continue watching this show.

By the way, I do not appreciate the fact that Haruto turned into Sparkling Edward at the end. What the fuck is that bullshit?

And after 24 minutes of sitting here watching the show, I have only two words to say: HOLY FUCK.

Kudos Production I.G. Kudos.

They managed to produced some REALLY GOOD SHIT in one episode of anime. It was mind blowing experience. So good man, so good.

First Impression: Karneval

I know of this series through the manga. The manga is full of bishies so naturally as a fujoshi it quickly becomes one of my favorite manga to read until the day came when I stopped reading manga because I was too busy. So somewhat the series was forgotten. So I'm glad that they decided to make an anime out of it!

(c) M 0514

Well, that feeling of glad doesn't lasted very long. Half way through the first episode I was at lost. I blame it all on myself because I cannot remember anything that I've read from the manga. The only thing I remember are the characters and Circus. Other than that, nada.

So, I feel a little bit disappointed at the show as well at myself. I have high expectation for this show but it didn't satisfy me at all. Having said that I am still gonna watch this. I am sure that it can only get better from here onwards.

By the way, Gareki is  my favorite character when I read the manga. I remember him being more aloof in the manga though.

That's about all I can say from watching this first episode of Karneval. Not much, huh? Not even a rant.

First Impression: Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter

Lets be totally honest here. The only reason I'm checking this out is because this show is produced by A-1 Pictures otherwise I wouldn't be bothered at all. Mecha is just not something that is appealing to me especially since it looks like this show is targeted for children under the age of 12 >_>

This fanart can be so misleading and yet so appealing for pedophile
(c) Ama Mitsuki

My intuition was right though, this show is just ridiculously bad that I feel sorry for being an A-1 Pictures fan. It's about a city of AI cars where even kids can drive a car as long as they have their drivers ID. Then somehow later on in the episode, they have mecha fighting. I just don't get it and like I said, this shit is terribad.

Or maybe it wasn't. They just decided to use the Transformers idea and adapted it to become an anime because this is certainly what this show is all about. They just renamed it to Gyrozetter. Urgh, awful shit.

The pace of the story is all over the place and the use of CGI is too obvious for the car. It was messy from start to finish, from the arts to the story itself. I wonder how the fuck did A-1 Pictures agreed to produce this. Maybe Toyota, Nissan and other Japanese car manufacturers are sposnsoring this show though as they clearly used Prius and GTR cars as part of the show's characters, so they did it for money? If they are, I am terribly disappointed.

I'm dropping this and putting this away in the anishit pile.

First Impression: Kyousogiga (2012)

After the one episode ONA, they have decided to do 5 episodes ONA for Kyousogiga. Too bad the release dates for the five episodes are too far apart and is scheduled to end in December. Furthermore, each episode is only 10 minutes long. But nonetheless, it's better than nothing, right?

The first episode pretty much introduced us to Koto's childhood, where she lives and trained by her master, mostly known as Fox. The both of them didn't go by the rules, and shared something in common. Both of them have crimson eyes which in my opinion, hot as fuck, especially if he's a guy. But that aside, something that her master said, made her wants to find her mom, even though as she grew up, she knew that she doesn't exist but pretends that she is anyway.

The two kids from the previous ONA are actually her familiars, A and Un. Now that she's in mirror city Kyoto, she lives with Myoe, the priest that take care of them and so the wackiness continue.

Towards the end of the episode, a gate appeared and looks like Koto is about to go through. We just have to wait another month to see where it leads >_>

My thoughts about the production, seiyuu, and everything else regarding Kyousogiga remain the same. It is still manage to grab my attention and fulfill my desire for something different. Thank you Toei Animation.

First Impression: Muv-Luv Alternative - Total Eclipse

It was easy for me to dismiss this show and put it in the anishit list for my preview for the simple fact that I am not a fan of boobs or any of the genres. I have also seen figures being made for this show which often means that I made the right decision. My logic is fucked up sometimes but I'm fine with it. Problem?

Muv-Luv Alternative is pretty much about a bunch of girls driving a mecha to fight off alien invaders. They are still kids with barely any training but obviously one/two of them girls will be great and such. It is a pretty much standard mecha story all over again. Having said that, the pace was good and the setup wasn't all that bad at all.

I just don't understand the tight-suit part. Why the hell they have to create it to look like that? Did pervert invented them? That should explain all the unnecessary exposures. And why the hell am I ranting about this shit?

Anyhoo, I wasn't a fan of the character designs. It was typical and wasn't even that sharp. Maybe they literally took the 90's concept because it really does feels outdated. The sound, especially during the war, was pretty accurate though so credits for that. Too bad I don't really pay any attention to the seiyuu but overall I think they did good.

I stand corrected though. This show does not deserved a place in my anishit list at all. Unfortunately, like I said, I am not a fan of the genres and so, even though I somewhat enjoyed the first episode, I doubt that I will have time to sit through the rest of 23 episodes. I don't think I will enjoy it that much.

However I will watch several more episodes just because I want to see Daisuke Ono's character. Heh.

First Impression: Accel World

I have seen some of the fanarts for this show, and what others have to say about it on Twitter but still, it doesn’t prepare me at all for what the show really is. I was totally lost the first five minutes checking it out.

We have this fat and short male protagonist, Haru, who is naturally weak and get bullied by everyone, and often escaped from reality by joining the virtual world, of which he transformed into a pig. Orz. One day he got a break when the most popular girl offered an application (Brain Burts) which totally shattered his concept of reality. It brings him to Accelerated World, or Accel World in short.

(c) Ekakibito
He is the kind of protagonist that pissed me off. He knows he is weak and cowardly so why the fuck doesn’t he want to change that and actually pushed people who wanted to help him away? I would have smacked people like him in real life so hard just for the fun of it. I mean, they love it, don’t they? That’s why they don’t want to change.

Oh, did I mention that the technology is so advanced they don’t need computer or keyboard or modem. All they need is what seemed to be an electronic neck collar that allows you to connect and use the computer using your eyesight vision. Pretty nifty, right?

Black Swallowtailed Butterfly warned Haru not to on the Global Linker at all after school but he forgot. What happened? He got an upgrade (he’s no longer a pig, but a kin of Green Power Ranger) and an opponent to boot.

I am more interesting to see what happened with his friends that he doubted though and probably the only reason why I would continue watching it.

The story is somewhat unique and the art and animation weren’t bad at all. I can’t say that I enjoyed it though. It is more like the story itself force me to sit through the entire episode because it got me curious. I personally think that’s a good thing. At least it piqued my interest.

First Impression: Jormungand

I didn’t know what to expect about Jormungand and glad that I didn’t put an effort to find out. This show surprises me in a good way.

Jormungand is pretty much about Jonah, a kid soldier who hates weapon but is dependent of them, and Koko, an arm dealers which a bunch of skilled people around her to get the job done. Though Jinah hates weapons (because it killed his parents), he chose to travel with Koko and the others and be service of her.

(c) Mataro
I want to have Jonah as my little brother. Can I adopt him, please?

The other characters look too bland in my opinion including Koko except for Jonah. It must have something to do with the contrast of his tanned skin, white hair and bloodshot eyes. He’s pretty memorable as a character. The animation on the other hand was pretty average but I’m not complaining too much because I get what I want: BLOOD.

This is a short first impression because I don’t have much to say about it. Jormungand delivers the craziness of Koko and complimented her with an awesome set of skilled crew that will definitely entertain us along the way.

But let’s not forget that this show is ultimately about Jonah’s journey of finding his inner peace.

First Impression: Zetman

Heh, if you read my preview for this show, you see how mislead I was. Here, lemme quote myself
"For some reason I got excited with Zetman. It probably has something to do with that misleading poster. It looks like a guy carrying another guy in his arms. The fujoshi in me squeals in delight."
So for the sake of argument, let just say that I have quite an "expectation" for this show XD

(c) pixiv id 4062951
And holy shit Zetman totally blew my mind away. I got more than what I expected. There was blood and violence and the fighting sequence makes me wet my pantsu. I love it.

Jin is a Player, an experimental creature used to entertain the higher society. Unfortunately one day these Players gain a mind of their own and rebel. They are at large in the society disguising themselves as human. Jin was brought up by the man who created him so he's more human than all the other creatures, and hence our main protagonist. This episode pretty much a history lesson for us viewers and it was done cleverly and interestingly enough to make me want to see the episode ASAP.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode because of the reasons I have already stated though I am a bit apprehensive with what's going to happen when he's all grown up and met Kouga again. If they end up as enemy, that would be intense.

I'm giving all the compliments that they deserved to the animation studio for job well done with the arts and animation. I was very impressed indeed especially when Jin showed those thugs what he was made of. That was definitely one of the highlight of this episode for me. The other was when Jin being ZET towards the end of the episode.

I guess the creativity part comes from the manga itself.

I have nothing but good words to say about this show. A very good first impression indeed. I'm sorry that I didn't check this show earlier.

First Impression: Kingdom

My first thought when I saw the first few second of this anime is... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ANIMATION? So yeah, it wasn't a good first impression at all. The animation was worse than Blassreiter, if you guys still remember that shit. I don't know what the hell Studio Peirrot was thinking. This is clearly not how anime supposed to be done.

And then I heard the voice of the main shouta who this story of Kingdom is based on. I knew right away Morita Masakazu is his seiyuu because Xin has Ichigo's voice. I dunno why this disturbed me but it does. I feel all weird hearing Ichigo's voice in other character. My brain just can't compute but somehow it make sense because Ichigo Morita's voice is somewhat perfect for rebellious shounen character. Argh shit my brain can't compute...

Somehow I have always feel like Morita is exclusively Ichigo... >_>

I was ready to drop this show but the voice of Ichigo prevented me from doing so which is a good thing in hindsight because I ended up enjoying this preview episode of 50 minutes quite a bit. Surprisingly so.

Kingdom is about a kid named Xin who is a slave. He has a best friend named Piao who looks exactly like the King. Since the kingdom is in the state of upheaval, Piao was called forth of the palace to be the dummy and he got killed. Piao managed to go back to Xin though and tell him to go to a village full of murderers where Xin found the young King who looks like Piao.

I'm guessing Xin will take care of that young King from now on.

It's a typical shounen show but since I am a sucker for shounen, I found it entertaining despite the hideous art and animation. Will I continue watching this? Most likely.

My advice, if you are not a big fan of shounen, best not to watch this at all or it could give you eye cancer.

First Impression: Saint Seiya Omega

I am unsure about this one. I know I am not a fan of this genre of anime in general but I thought I should give it a chance, like I did with any other anime of the season. I have a feeling that I would end up dropping this series once I saw the first episode though.

The art and animation of this series are really oldskool and it should not come as a surprise because the series itself (Saint Seiya) has been around for 25 years. This anime is the first TV series since it was first started so I think that fact makes me more acceptable towards it. At the same time, it also has that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan feeling to it in term of exaggeration etc. Fascinating enough, the fanarts are more visually intriguing and much more entertaining/exciting than the anime.

Since I don't read the manga, I have no idea how close it the anime adaptation is to the source but knowing that this is a spin off, I guess Toei Animation has the liberty to be creative with the story. The episode started with the Gold Seiya saving Kouga from the evil when he was still a baby, in the arms of Athena, his guardian. Ever since then, he has been training to become a Seiya himself and help save his planet from the evil power. Of course he has his comrades to help him out.

I can't relate to any of the characters which is probably why I ended up failing to enjoy this episode. Though they are all the heroic type, they lack something human in my opinion. This make sense since they are Martians and logically aren't exactly human. But still... it's has the negative effect on me personally.

As for the seiyuus and the OP/ED, they aren't anything bad about them but there aren't outstanding either. In other words, they are average at best. I guess it was to be expected of a shounen shows nowadays... sadly so.

Like I said earlier, I did not manage to enjoy this show just like I expected. Consequently, there won't be a second chance for Saint Seiya Omega for me. I'm dropping this.

First Impression: Medaka Box

I am in the process of eliminating all possible shitty anime from Spring season. Upotte!! has already been cut down. However, I was proven wrong about my initial judgment for Shirokuma Cafe. Now let see where does Medaka Box stands. Will it remain in the anishit list or get a promotion?

I have got this sinking feeling that it would be the former. I saw that this show is categorized as ecchi among many things. Urgh, I seriously don't look forward to this but lets get this done and over with.

Medaka Box is about Medaka, a slut voluptuous first year who becomes a Student Council President because she sleeps around is just that awesome at everything. She promised to attend to any suggestions/challenges/etc that are inserted in the Student Council Suggestion Box. She forces her childhood friend Zenkichi to help her out (while only in bra and underwear - like I said, a slut). Of course he can't say no when she asked while wearing nothing but undergarments!

The first mission was to restore the kendo dojo which she did single handedly. I wasn't even paying attention to the shit. I just can't. It was too much cock and bull.

After 16 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore. And thus this show will be included in my anishit list like I have predicted it would.Everything about it is mediocre from the arts and animation to the OP song as well as the overall plot and story.

I'm done.

First Impression: Upotte!!

In my preview for Spring, I already said that this show is going to be worse than trash however I ended up downloading the first couple of episodes. Since they are already in my hard drive, I thought that I might as well check them out and see whether my intuition is spot on.

urgh >_<
(c) pixiv id 10550
I have not a clue what Upotte!! means but given the synopsis, I doubt that I want to find out. It is basically about few girls at Seishou Academy which specialized in marksmanship. The new teacher, of which they kept a "mystery" by designing unnecessary and out-of-place shadow all over his face, didn't know this and this show is about his experience at the said school. Lame as fuck.

Upotte!! is supposed to be a comedy hence all the bad jokes. I can see them trying very hard to meet that expectation but it just don't work. It feels like they are shoving those humors down my throat and it makes me gag. I tasted bile, especially when FNC was about to cum just by looking at her male teacher firing a gun. Or the male teacher getting a bOnar looking at her thong.

"I'd fired so fast with that big hands gripping me..."

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?

As for character designs, it makes me appreciate shows like Sakamichi no Apollon even more where the high school girls wear decent skirts and not some mini skirts to school. They makes the high school girls, or indeed female in general, looks cheap with all these mini skirts and revealing tops. I dislike that part of modern anime.

Well, I was right at how shitty this show is. I stopped watching 10 minutes in. DROPPED!

First Impression: Brave 10 - As Bishie As It Gets

Episodes: 12
Producers: TMS Entertainment, Media Factory, NIS America, Studio Saki Mura
Genres: Action, Adventure, Historical, Seinen

I am hoping that there would be a lot of bishie for this show and that is the only reason why I want to check this out. This could possibly be another Sengoku Basara. We still have Date Masamune as one of the characters but it was to be expected. This is a story of Sengoku era after all. Brave 10 is directed by Kiyoko Sayama, the same director for the likes of Vampire Knight and Princess Tutu. Not exactly convincingbut he was also the one responsible for the storyboard of Death Note so there is still hope, my friend.

The story evolved around Isanami who was pursued by some clan who wanted her special power that she wasn't aware of. While running around to save herself, she met with Saizo, a ronin samurai who helped her out but got stuck with her in the end. Together they went to see the Lord Sanada Yukimura who protected them both and hired Saizo to be one of his 10 brave warriors to fight alongside him against the evil guys. Obviously there will be at least 1 new warriors to be introduced for every episode leading up the climax, which would be interesting indeed.

The art is colorful and the animation smooth but it lacks soul in my opinion. Even the fight happened too fast and wouldn't allow us to savor the kill or the actions, which isn't that many to be honest. The characters are designed by Yukiko Ban who has been involved in project like Gintama. Naturally I can't find fault with anyone who is involved in Gintama and indeed there is no flaws that I want to point out. The characters are bishies alright and if in real life, would most probably seemed out of place in the world of ninja and samurai. I didn't specialized in Japanese history so I wouldn't know if the background is appropriate to that era but as far as I notice, there are just trees and more trees. One thing for sure, I don't think Samurai of that era walking around with Saizo's kind of attire so the believable factor isn't something that they focused on for this show.

The OP is performed by Ono Daisuke and Tetsuya Kakihara who are also the seiyuu for both male protagonists respectively. I like Ono but I don't think that fact can make me like the OP as well. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It made Saizo lost whatever little badassness he got left. The ED on the other hand is an improvement thanks to catchy tune by ADAPTER. The BGM however is sorta lackluster. I want to compliment the seiyuu but at some parts I feel like they are forcing themselves to be their character and as a result, it sounded kinda fake and not as crisp as I would like them to be.

As a whole, this show just pretty much provides me with a feeling of monotone. There are some parts that can used a little bit of improvement but if you are into bishie and a Sengoku era otaku, and wouldn't mind all the flaws that I mentioned above, than this show just might satisfy your palate. As for me, it was okay but I wouldn't feel bad if I missed it. The only good thing about this show is that it made me wants to collect my own 10 brave heroes.

First Impression: Rinne no Lagrange

Episodes: 12
Producers: Production I.G, Xebec
Genres: Action, Comedy, Mecha

I wouldn't be bothered by this show if it wasn't for Production I.G. If anything else fails, I was hoping that Production I.G did their part and produced some good quality animation, just like they did with Guilty Crown. Having said that, I did drop that shit after the second episode. Good story > quality animation for me.

I did say that it looks promising in my preview but I do not get my hopes up when I saw the staff who are working on this show. They don't really has that much experience under their belt except maybe for the Series Production Director, Tatsuo Satou. Hmm, maybe this show can be their catalyst for stardom? Let see...

dafuq? O_o

Fansub [commie] leaked the pre-aired episode and the quality was quite bad. Served us leech right but that won't stopped me from checking it out.

Rinne no Lagrange is about a girl who loves to help people out. The show started with her jumping into the ocean (she just happened to wear a swimsuit underneath her school uniform) to save a girl from drowning. She also always bring her jersey around, just in case. Her name is Madoka Kyono. She is helping out in every club that you can think of and is good at each of them which of course makes her a popular student at her school. Sounds normal enough, yes?

But of course her life was about to change forever. She was visited by strange person whose name is even stranger. Lets just called her Fin Lan for short. From that day on, she becomes a mecha pilot fighting the evil aliens, known as Demetria, who just happened to be hot bishies. I mean, I wouldn't mind swapping life with Madoka just so I can seduce and f-

Nevermind.

Did I mention that her family is against her piloting a mecha, as if it was a job that was advertise in the newspaper? Unnecessary drama, in my opinion. Also, how the fuck does a highschool girl suddenly knows how to pilot a mecha? Oh right... their "hearts" were connected. DAFUQ!

But I am an optimistic girl. When I saw the two mechas fighting, and knowing that Array was this hot headed bishie, I immediately wanted to see these two persons fight again - in bed. LMAO

Just like that I have found my OTP.

Sadly though, the way these characters were depicted, there is little room for development. Take Madoka for an example: she is just depicted as a happy airhead who went along at anything that was thrown at her. If this wasn't the case, then this show could have some potential to be more than just a shallow mecha anime.

To make things worse, it has cheesy BGM too. At one scene when the bishies appeared, suddenly the airship turned into some cheap blues bar that you imagined was preoccupied by fugly hosts. They were trying too hard. It was rather annoying to be honest. Same goes for the OP and ED. Definitely not this show's strongest point. Then again, nothing is.

this is a lie

The animation was smooth as expected from Production I.G. The character designs however, are average at best. The hot bishies have this dead expression on their faces and the background could have been improved with more details. Also the choice of color could have been better. It failed to make this show looks more dynamic. Everything is just as flat and as bland as the plot (if indeed there will be one).

I might dropped this but if it manages to constantly pique my interest with the "fights", then who knows. But for me to survive the fanservice... This show is like them bimbos. Pretty to look at but dumb as fuck.

Recommended? Only if you a hardcore mecha fans.

Bleach: Hell Verse - Jigoku-hen

Jigoku-hen or Hell Verse is the fourth movies for Bleach. I have no idea why I waited this long to watch this movie when I have the file on my computer since last two months. I feel slightly guilty towards Ichigo and Rukia. But hey, better late than never, right?

This movie was directed by the same director that did the other three movies, Noriyuki Abe but have different writers: Masahiro Okubo and Natsuko Takahashi. This movie is also sticking with Shiro Sagisu for the music score. I'm not complaining because he's good with what he does. I'm sure Daniel will agree with me on this one. The ending theme however is sang by T.M. Revolution which I know from watching Soul Eater. I first learned about the movie through the promotional chapter that was released around November last year titled Imaginary Number 01: The Unforgivens.

The movie starts with the Ulquiorra versus hollow Ichigo fight on top of the Hueco Mundo dome. I think I repeated that fight for at least 10 times before I proceed with the rest of the movie. It was just too fucking awesome that I couldn't get enough of it. This movie is off to a good start.

This movie reminds us a lot of the old Bleach. I mean, right after that awesome fight, it shows Ichigo normal routines as a teenage boy. It is just like episode/chapter 1 of Bleach which is just great in my opinion. We have seen too much unnecessary drama lately in both the anime and manga that I feel relieved they went back to the root with this one. Or sorta.

yeah, I missed this ^_^

We even get to see Rukia's masterpiece :D

Ichigo was under surveillance by an unknown enemy, which I assumed was the guy we seen earlier that was made human by hell itself. But I was wrong. They were these mask men with exceptional fighting abilities who called themselves Sinners from Hell. Ishida, Chad, Renji and even Ichigo were having problem defeating them. They were definitely not your average villains. Apparently their power lies with their mask though. Once broken they will be taken by the Hell's Gate.

They were not only attacking Ichigo but wais a threat to his family as well. Gunjo and Shuren already have Karin and Yuzu in their custody. Their mission was to invite Ichigo back to hell since they have an "assignment" for him. As if it would be that easy. They would have succeeded at kidnapping both Yuzu and Karin if Kokuto didn't stopped them. Unfortunately though Yuzu was taken as a bargaining chip.

Ichigo: "Get your hands off Rukia!"

The Sinners wish was simple: they want to be released from hell so they wanted Ichigo to destroy the Hell's Gate. Looked like Ichigo didn't have much of a choice, huh?

Sinners still have their powers in order to keep them sane by holding on to their resentment or their memories, otherwise they would have been taken over by the guards. They would have been eaten, tortured and revived repeatedly until they are brain dead and pretty much heartless too.

I was surprised to find out that Kokuto was actually not the bad guy in this movie. No wonder I have seen a lot of shipping going on for him and Rukia heh. He has this nonchalant attitude that I can't help but take an instant liking for. Plus he was pretty mysterious (not to mention dubious) showing up like he owned the place and readily agreed to bring them to hell to save Yuzu. I have a feeling that he is actually the mastermind. Hmmm...

that should have ring some warning bells...

So Hell was not under Soul Society jurisdiction but they were under their surveillance. Shinigami are forbidden to intervene in anything that is related to Hell so I guess Renji and Rukia were breaking the rules for the sake of Yuzu and Ichigo.

Once inside Hell, the guards wasted no time chasing after them. I'm impressed that Rukia managed to keep up with the guys. Heh, that's my girl. In order to fight them, Ichigo had to use his Getsuga Tenshou but strangely his hollow mask appeared automatically when he did that and thus made his attack even more powerful. Ah I see... This was why Shuren wanted him to help them out.

The air inside the hell must have affected him. This will bring out his dormant power. Eventually he will be hollowfied completely. Shit just got more interesting y'all!

free-falling like nobody's business

On the second level of hell, they were once again confronted by the Sinners who attacked them at Karakura Town (I lost my appetite when I see Taikon true form behind the cloak. That is just so fucking gross). Ichigo and his crew had trouble yet again taking care of them, even more so since they were stronger in hell than they were in human world. Since they were taking too long, Ichigo and Kokuto will move forward while Ishida, Rukia and Renji took care of those three fuglies. The original plan was for Rukia to follow them too but that fucktard Sinner had to interfere. Goddammit. Now I'm pissed.

KABOOM!

There is a giant guard welcoming Ichigo and Kokuto at level three of hell. Kokuto saved Ichigo who in turn, saved him back. Since Kokuto was hurt, he wanted Ichigo to go save Yuzu alone and leave him. He also came clean as to why he was helping them. He became a Sinner because of his sister. Hmm, credible story indeed. He even asked Ichigo to free him from hell so he could be reborn and apologize to his sister. I must say, very well played Kokuto. I almost believe you.

I kept focusing on Ichigo but Ishida, Renji and Rukia done an exceptionally good job with the fighting. They definitely kept me entertain while Ichigo kept obsessing about saving Yuzu. This was why I love the shinigami (and Quincy) and thinks Bleach can't do without them. Just look at the recent arc Kubo made. It was too fucking stupid and incredibly boring without the Shinigami. Those Xcutioners can't even hold a candle next to these stupid Sinners. I missed seeing them using their full abilities to fight the enemy and Rukia pulled that same trick she did with Aoroniero back in Hueco Mundo. AWESOME.

tentacle rapes. First with Aaroniero now with Gunjo

And we are only halfway through the movie. Jeebus, look at how long this review is lol. tl;dr much?

However, just like Kokuto said, Sinners don't die in Hell. They will revived and all those hard work that Renji, Ishida and Rukia put up were for nothing.

And I took back my suspicious on Kokuto. It looked like he was seriously a good guy who caught up in a difficult situation and thus became a Sinner. He was having a hard time dealing with Shuren's three lackeys while Shuren himself has a face off with Ichigo. Kokuto even sacrificed himself to save Yuzu. This just forced Ichigo over the edge and as usual, he relied on his hollow power in the end which was playing right into Shuren's hand. Or so I thought. Shuren was underestimating Ichigo's powers too much and he was done for in just under a minute.

Wow... that was unimpressive -__-

the most short-lived villain in the history of Bleach. What a waste of such good looking face

But... JUST LIKE I PREDICTED KOKUTO FUCKING THREW HIS BLADE AT ICHIGO OUT OF NOWHERE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Twist upon twist, just like how I like it. Oh man, my pantsu is soaked.

And so Kokuto has revealed his true nature

Like I said earlier. Kokuto was the mastermind and he was just using Shuren and the others to lure Ichigo into Hell. Rukia, Ishida and Renji came just in time to be cut down by Kokuto. LOL I know this sounded pathetic but Ichigo needed a catalyst to make him hollowfied right? Once he saw Rukia's down and Yuzu was about to be thrown into the larva, he totally lost it and so Kokuto's wish was granted.

*sighs* Ichigo was so predictable. This is why the bad guys always used him. He never learned, did he? First with Aizen, then Ginjou now Kokuto. Oh well, it is his short-tempered-act-first-think-later attitude that makes me root for him in the first place. Besides, his power is really unmatched for when he is completely hollowfied and that just fucking turns me on >=3

I kinda felt sorry for Kokuto actually. He had no fucking idea what was in store for him. Sure, Ichigo managed to destroy Hell as he wanted but he had to pay a hefty price for it. Once Ichigo hollowfied, he was totally out of control. Thankfully Renji and Rukia came prepared. They reserved a spell that can take Ichigo back to the real world and used it on Ichigo when Kokuto had his last two chains to be destroyed. Heh Kokuto, you've been punk'd dude.

At the same time, Soul Society had took precaution when the Hell Gate was destroyed. They stopped the miasma from hell from over flowing to the real world by sending out the kido team. But they can't do a damn thing about Yuzu. Even Inoue was useless. Yuzu has been too long in Hell and has become one of the Sinner herself. The Old Fuck told Ichigo it was all his fault IN HIS FACE! The nerves of the fucker. I mean, I was sure they knew what was going on which was why they had the old fuck in the real world and so on. They could have done something to prevent this shit from going down but they did nothing. They weren't any better than the villains in my opinion. They have been using Ichigo from day one too >_>

The discrimination against hollows annoyed the fuck out of me. If the fucker fucking knew what will happen if Ichigo went berserk then why the fucking hell didn't he stop him? Jeebus I'm mad.

I am also worried that no one seems to bother about Renji, Ishida and Rukia who were still stuck in Hell. I can understand why Ichigo wasn't. He was too depressed to think about anything else right now but if he didn't do something then who will?

no, duh!

Byakuya, that's who! Though he didn't do anything much but told Ichigo that he should be aware of their attention for letting him escaped alone. While they were having a conversation for Rukia's hand in marriage, the chain that binded Yuzu to hell miraculously disappeared and she has been saved. I have no fucking clue what just happened but this puts ideas into Ichigo's head so he decided to go back to Hell to save Rukia and the others. w00t!

determined Ichigo is DETERMINED!

Obviously shinigami from Soul Society will not let him entered Hell again but he won't be Kurosaki Ichigo that I love if he would just listened and nodded his head at whatever people tells him to do. Thankfully he didn't have to waste his energy on them for they were busy dealing with the Hell's Will.

Kokuto was ready for round two when Ichigo's arrived and this time he has bad news. Rukia had been chained by hell while Ishida and Renji were waiting for their turn. The only way to save her now is to break the chain and to do that Ichigo had to hollowfied. He tried hard to defeat Kokuto without depending on his hollow powers but Kokuto was just too strong. Not only that but since it's Hell, it's easier for his hollow to take over his body. Well, you shouldn't underestimated Ichigo. His resolution usually was stronger than anything in this world. He managed to not relent to his hollow power and fucking transform into something else.

I know this is serious but it's like his 103934960th transformation in Bleach. It's hard to take it seriously.

even more so when he sparkled more than Edward Cullen >_>

Apparently even Hell was on Ichigo's side. The Guards fucking lent him their powers. In the end, Ichigo just wounded Kokuto while Hell did the rest of the work. There was no way Kokuto can escaped hell now.

And that was how Ichigo saved the fucking world yet again.

THE END.

The animation wasn't as consistent as I wanted it to be but I shouldn't complain much because when it comes to the fight, it was amazing. The camera angles used for those shots were brilliant. It just makes you feel so "in the moment" if you know what I mean. Aside from that I think since this is a story about Hell, it kinda fall sort at portraying Hell which could be considered as a major failure. It was too cozy and lacking elements of torture, gruesomeness and plain out... well... Hell.

It wasn't as good as Fade to Black (that is by far the best Bleach movie out of the bunch). While Fade to Black colors were very bright and very details, this movie was a lot duller and wasn't as smooth. Hell, it was sort of a contrast between Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight and the rest of the movie. You can tell the different almost on the get go. I sorta feel cheated to be honest

Unlike Fade to Black which was laced with hidden meanings, Hell Verse was pretty straight forward with the story that it wanna tell. It was fun but kinda monotonous towards the end. They should have used Shuren longer because he has so much potential to develop a more interesting ending. Jigoku-hen just doesn't have a climax in my opinion, unlike with Ichigo and Rukia in Fade to Black.

You know what would have been awesome? If Ichigo and Rukia stayed in Hell and becomes the King and Queen of that wretched place. Ichigo has that power to rule hell after all...

bow to your King and Queen, minions!

Hmm, I should probably stop comparing these two movies. I am biased with Fade to Black for obvious reason which is why I wished Kubo would have had a hand in this movie as well. But alas...

ps: there is one scene from this movie that I absolutely hate and if you know me well enough, you know exactly what scene I was talking about. Fuck that almost ruined this movie for me >=(

pss: I couldn't stop myself from from taking screencap after screencap. It would be a waste not to include them in this review so here they are looking as delectable as always.
