It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.
It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.
So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.
I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.
Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.
I am usually into the gore, evil, supernatural stuff but during the preview, I don't get any gore/spooky/thrill feelings from reading the synopsis.Oh well, we all know how misleading the synopsis can be. Lets hope that it doesn't failed me, especially with the promise of so many bishie in it. Also, I wasn't sure if there's a prequel to this series. According to MAL, there isn't.

At first I thought it was stupid as fuck, probably because Hibiki looks like the biggest pussy ever. And then there's those wolf-like demons and then the summoned-demons. Both are equally stupid as well. I was ready to drop this shit but something just made me sit here and watched it till the end and guess what, somehow it turned out okay thanks to the other mysterious characters that appeared towards the end.
This show is indeed about demons. The person who summoned them are supposed to be dead but thanks to this application that they downloaded, they got a second chance to be a hero. Obviously the type of demon they may summoned depends on their power level and somehow Hibiki's just up there which kinda pissed me off but whatever.
I dunno where will it go from here. Maybe I'll find out if I was interested. I won't drop this though. It wasn't that bad that it deserved to be in the anishit list. It is just... average.
Having said that, I do want to meet the other summoners. They look rather... interesting ww.

In the preview, I already put this show in my anishit list. The kind of comedy portrayed in the synopsis is never really what I look for in anime. So I'm gonna watch this with that knowledge in mind and perhaps I will be biased towards this shit. I do hope that they managed to prove me wrong though just so that I can feel that joy of watching anime with good honest humor.

And guess what, it is rare that an animu can proved me wrong. This show however, did it. The start of the first episode already grabbed my attention with the blood and killing and what not. Then comes the characters who look so badass and then so normal few minutes later but the transition was smooth and was explained in quite satisfactory details that it suddenly made sense.
Maou and his servant Ashiya are demons. Maou is the Lord Satan. They were forced to retreat by Hero Emi and swear to seek revenge. When Maou opened the portal, it somewhat brought them to Japan and their badass personas were gone, replaced by human-like form. Well at least Maou looks like a delicious shouta so you won't hear me complaining about that XD
I like the fact that the show showed how they tried to get used to this world. The foreign language made me LOL and from then on, it was good all over.
Having said that, I'm not sure about Hero Emi just yet. I hope she won't ruined this show too much.
I am glad I decided to check out all the anime before dismissing it. It's when you enjoy a show that you have no hopes or expectations for that made all the difference.
This show is getting an upgrade. It is no longer in the anishit list.

This show is produced by Production I.G. That is enough reason for me to check this out. Besides, reading the synopsis at MAL, it seems like the kind of shows that Production I.G. is good at producing so this ought to be somewhat satisfying. Well, at least I hope so.

And after 24 minutes of sitting here watching the show, I have only two words to say: HOLY FUCK.
Kudos Production I.G. Kudos.
They managed to produced some REALLY GOOD SHIT in one episode of anime. It was mind blowing experience. So good man, so good.
I refused to spoil anything in this first impression post. This show deserved to be watched and appreciated, not read.
It is now in my MUST WATCH list for this season.

My first impression of this show was when I read the synopsis for the preview. I thought that it borrowed most of the ideas from Smurf and since I was once a fan, I know I will be very critical at reviewing this first episode. Lets just hope it won't disappoint me too much.
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita or Humanity has Declined in English, is about this girl who deals with fairies. This show took place where food are scarce for the human. She, her assistant and an old guy went to the fairies' place to investigate how the hell they produced food. Apparently it was all synthesized shit.
I was ready to drop it after 10 minutes in but conversation with Lord Jagganath in Twitter forced me to watch this episode till the end. And so I want to thank him for that.
The bleeding loaf changed my mind, and I have seen the other incoming mindfuck shit. I liked it.
THIS!
The art and animation, except for the character designs, are pretty solid in my opinion. Although the background are pretty much static, I like how they played with the color technique. It gave this 'drawing' feels to it. The characters could look more lively to match with the background though.
Was it just me or did anyone else thought that the fairies sound annoying as hell?
I was just about to list this show as the first anishit list of the season but changed my mind after I've seen the later half of the episode. Lesson learn today: don't be too quick to judge.

I find myself attracted to anything historical as of late. First it was the Shinsengumi era, then the Nobunaga era. Besides, this one is produced by Madhouse so I expect something tolerable if not great. I did change my mind about it when I saw the character designs so at least they have done something right there.
Ambition of Oda Nobuna is pretty much like any other anime that evolves around Nobunaga: of conquering Japan with his/her sidekick and enemies. In this show though, there is the added element from the future which is Sagara Yoshiharu, a really good looking boy, who somehow ended up in the era and is helping out Nobuna. I'm pretty sure they will end up together eventually but I just can't seem to care.
though I don't mind reading the doujinshi about these two =\
The comedy was cheap and borderline stupid. Most of it comes from the over-reaction from Yoshiharu. The story was weak and doesn't has anything new to add for this genre of anime. Basically I was disappointed.
But like I said, at least Madhouse does something right with the character designs, animation and the whole shebang. They were above average. Too bad the story failed to add value to the arts and animation otherwise this could have been tolerable for me.
Which means I am dropping this show without any regrets whatsoever. I'm not saying that it is shit though. It's just not my cup of tea.
After watching Tari Tari, this show is definitely going to be
included in my MUST WATCH list for this season. Having said that I still
have no idea why. I just like the overall feelings I get from watching
it and the fact that in this episode, the choir sang Reflectia by
Eufonius, was totally made of win.
Tari
Tari is somewhat a musical based show where the focus of this first
episode is pretty much about how certain characters want to sing while
the others don't. I am pretty sure half way through this show, they will
manage to put aside their differences and end up having the choir group
that Miyamoto works hard for. The interesting part about Tari Tari is
that the only two characters that seem to know each other pretty well
are Miyamoto and Sawa. Looking at the OP, looks like they both need to
bond with the other three characters including the exchange student from
Austria, who is pretty unique character himself since he learned what
needed to be learned about Japanses culture through book and hence
acting quite weird. Then there's Sakai who is the emo of the group which
we will eventually learn why. Last but not least is Tanaka who to be
honest, the character that I am interested in the most.
I
can't find fault with any of the characters since they are all very
strong individually. I don't even find Miyamoto annoying but instead
thought that she is actually inspirational for she pretty much takes her
life in her own hand and do what she must to achieve what she wants.
We
all know P.A. Works can be exceptional when it comes to the art and
animation and for Tari Tari they do not disappoint and deliver what is
expected of them.
A good solid start indeed. I want more.

This show started even before the Spring season official
release was out but it is only now that I feel like watching it. That is just
me being lazy or caught up with work and life in general. I wasn’t excited at
all about Ozuma but I figured I need to be fair and see what it is all about
before I draw my own conclusion.
I was damn excited when I heard the opening song because I
immediately recognized that it is a song from FT Island,
my favorite Korean band. If I had known that they sang the OP, I would have
checked this show out sooner.
Unfortunately though, the show itself was crappy. The art
really turned me off. It is too shoujoish for me. It’s the year 2012 for fuck
sake, who draws like that anymore? The animation too was below average. The
perspective was off and it wasn’t smooth at all. Mediocre is probably the right
word to describe it.
As for the story, I can’t really tell what it was all about.
It is just sand after sand of shit. I dropped the show before it hits the 7
minutes mark. If they phailed to grab my attention or pique my interest in the
first 7 minutes, I doubt they could do it at all. First impression is pretty
important after all.
But I did know that the show is named after a creature that
lives under the sands. It was pretty stupid really, especially when I saw the
vehicles they were on. For a second there, I thought I was watching an animated
Star Wars, if you know what I mean.
There’s only one good thing about this show and that’s the
OP. That’s not good enough reason to suffer through this. It is definitely not
worthy of my time.
And so this show is being dumped into the anishit list. I
refused to be Leijitimize!
Whoa, it has been a long time since I update this region. No, I didn't mean my region. Sheesh!
I just wanna share this with you peeps about Ghost Hound.
If you love Jigoku Shoujo, you gonna love this one too. Personally I think it was better, in term of its art however to be fair they do have rather different story lines.
It is about three different kids who have suffered from different traumatic events; Makoto, Tarou and Masayuki. Because of that, they are now have the ability to traverse the “unseen world”. You might want to forgive the slow-paced few minutes of the first episode. Once the plots start to unravel though, it would not stop till the climax. The anime tells the story of trauma, mental disorders, possession, out-of-body experiences, the afterlife, etc. The people deal with all these circumstances differently based on what they believed in which allows us to see a few different point of views, either scientifically or spiritually. There will be question marks hanging above your head on several occasions, especially with the terminology shit but don't fret. It will becomes perfectly clear once explained. Just make sure you pay close attention to the details.
The characters are nicely designed, well rounded and will fascinate you with their vivid personalities. Everyone will find a bit of himself in some of them. Personally, I am a fan of Makoto but found myself more like Masayuki.
Oh here comes the best part.
Prepare to be creeped out because you definitely will. The appearance of the ghosts are so random, they'll fucking give you goosebumps. I watched the anime with the lights on. Even when I'm done with the episodes, I'm too scared to turned off the light. It just gave me the feeling like the ghosts were just waiting to pounce. That's how fucking downright creepy they are. The great sound effects do not help one bit either. It will certainly turns you into a paranoid for a 'lil while especially if the tune got stuck in your head, like it did with me.
So yeah, like I said, this anime is made of awesomesauce. Nothing is overdone and everything flows perfectly.
This anime is for people who loves and are very appreciative of horror, mystery and psychological series because if you are not you might think of it as a waste of time. It's your lost, dumbass.
Also as a reminder, this anime is definitely not for the weak-hearted.
