Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Diary of a tard: Week 3, August 2011

Monday, August 15

Kamisama Dolls episode 2: Not everyone can be a Seki. Apparently you are chosen by the village. Kyouhei, Aki and Utao are the (un)fortunate ones. As Kyouhei and Utao practicing with Kukuri, there's this explosion at the club house thanks to a mental female. They send Kukuri to check it out and what a big mistake it is since that mental female loves supernatural/unexplainable things so when she sees Kukuri, she shits in her pantsu. Anyhoo, nothing much happened in this episode except that Kyouhei reaffirmed that he doesn't want anything to do with the Kakashi and the village. I am curious as what happened exactly for the first minute of the first episode. I guess I'll keep watching it then to find out.

It has been a while. Time to catch up with Kamisama no Memochou. Episode 2: New case. Meo comes to Alice since his father left her a bag full of money and never return after a suspicious phone call. Alice job is to find Meo's dad who might have involved with some sort of a crime hence why he's running away and being chased at. Before Alice accepted the job, she specifically told Meo not to call her dad but she called anyway. I'm definitely impressed with how fine the executions are for this show. Awesome. Too bad I can't marathon to catch up with the episodes. Damn life.

I don't think I can handle blushing Narumi *faps*

Thursday, August 18

The start of episode 2 of Mawaru Penguindrum talked about fate encounters. I haven't been properly introduced to that girl yet. Anyhoo, they received orders from 'the hat' to meet the girl I mentioned before at 0810 tomorrow. She probably has the Penguin Drum that would be used to initiate the Survival Strategies (edit: her name is Ringo). They followed her around all day. Turns out Ringo is a nut case who has a crush on Shouma and Kanba's teacher. She stalks him like the brothers stalk her. Hah twist!

I don't get the pink nails but THIS!

Morita-san wa Mukuchi episode 5: Miki is definitely Mayu's best friend. Only she understand what her silence means. In episodes 6, the boys are back with their delusions as their eavesdrop on the girls conversation. Mayu also has a stalker. The girls discussed their ideal guy in episode 7. Mayu still as dense as ever.

Next up is episode 2 of Nekogami Yaoyorozu: They received a big package addressed to Mayu. Inside it is a giant jar. Since it's a hindrance to Yuzu's store, Mayu dumped it somewhere else. The next day, she was visited by Yoshino, the God of Cherry Blossoms. Apparently the jar contain blooming ash for the cherry blossoms. So the whole party of nekogami came to help finding the jar. They eventually found the jar thanks to Mayu's power and thus the cherry blossoms blossom with extraordinary speed >_>

Diary of a tard: Week 4, July 2011

Episode 4 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée: Claude walks on Yune trying to take a hot bath and lol at the reaction. Alice was bragging about the orient loving hot water and bath together in a giant tub, naked. A coincident? I think not. It's a common fact that French people don't bath too often which mean they are a smelly bunch. It seems the tradition has been going on for century. Only the rich can indulge themselves like that. They consider it as a waste of water. Jeebus, what a difference. Also, Alice Brat invites Yune for tea but she declines which mean Alice has to go to her instead. So she and Claude play a game on who can keep Yune. Alice sure is persistent thus gets on Claude's nerves. In the end she wins as Yune agrees to talk to her. She tries to convince Yune to stay, even offering the Kimono back but thankfully she refuses. Claude might be the happiest to see her return. Heh cute.

kyaaaa~

Yukiho pissed me off. She can bury herself with that shovel of hers for all I care. In episode 3 of The iDOLM@STER, they got a gig at some festival. What they don't know is, it's a secluded village with perhaps only cows as audiences. They even have to help the villagers with the preparation. What's worst, Ami and Mami brought the wrong suitcase. Nothing is working out as they have planned at all. Not to mention that they have to deal with Yukiho's phobia for men. If it's not men, then dogs. WHAT. THE. FUCK. But as expected, all goes well in the end. Jeebus, I was so bored watching this

oh God, YES, please do! >=(

Morita-san wa Mukuchi episode 2, 3 and 4: In episode 2, they re-established the fact that Miki is a chatter box so it really is a complete contrast between to characters. Miki do things when Mayu just thinks too much about it. Episode 3 - Mayu's classmate doesn't know how to deal with her but they end up admiring each other hairs. Just like in episode 2, the boys are envious of them being so chummy. Episode 4 - It's the summer so the girls find all sorts of way to cool themselves. From what I've heard, summer in Japan is really terribad. Makes me glad that I don't have to deal with it.

W00t! Episode 3 of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! Hideyoshi and his twin sister switch roles since his sister has no talent on stage thus Hideyoshi has to take her place. This means, his sister ends up in class F. Though it was her idea, she sure raises hell for Hideyoshi. For the second half of the episode, we had a flashback of what happened a year ago. How Hazuki comes to love Yoshi so much, and we learn that Himeji has a crush on Yoshi since then too. At the same time, Yoshi has no idea that he bought the Noin doll for Himeji who confessed that she's interested in Yoshi too. Awesome. Also, we gotta know how Yoshi ended up as Punishment Inspector. Great flashback is great.

Hideyoshi! hnnnnnnng!!

It has been more than a month since I last saw the first episode of Kamisama no Memochou. Okay now, onto the other half of episode 1: Narumi found himself getting drag along with the investigation of finding Shoko (Satoshi is her boyfriend) and even has a task of his own: asking Miku directly about the prostitution, getting Moccaditto ear's fixed at the 4th (a yakuza place owned by Hiro's brother), and help the team figure out the puzzle. Shoko committed suicide. Satoshi keeps her in the tub full of ice while Miku refuse to accept the reality. Satoshi and Miku are irreplaceable for Miku since they both know the other half of her. In the end, it just comes naturally for Narumi to help out. He fits right in.

Nyanpire the Animation episode 4: Nyanpire and Meowsamune asked Nyanenshi why was he banished from heaven. Without hesitation, Nyantenshi starts his sad story of falling in love with Meowangelica who was to marry a monkey. They sex up and when they were found out, Nyantenshi was banished on the same day. Meowsamune and Nyanpire were the actors and they were sympathetic. Too bad Nyantenshi was lying. LOL again, Jun Fukuyama was brilliant!

he's very persuasive XD

First Impression: Kamisama no Memochou

I can't recall what I wrote in my preview for the summer. After checking it up, no wonder I can't remember anything because I was so ready to be disappoint by another one of J.C. Staff's anime though I did surprisingly came up with a list of top 10 anime for this production studio.

The English title for this show is "It's the only NEET Thing to Do" and it falls under the mystery genres. Since I dunno what to expect from such title, except that I've seen anime blogger wants to watch the show simply because it's the only NEET thing to do. Congratulation, J.C. Staff. Your marketing strategy works.

Err... when did kamisama translated to NEET anyway? *shrug*

Good news is, I am totally taken in by the story for the first seven minutes and 15 seconds. The great news is, I continue to feel good about this show for the remaining 17 minutes and thirty one seconds.

All the characters that made it appearance in this first episode manage to get me interested in them for one reason or the other. The male protagonist, Narumi Fujushima is a loner and there is just something in his almost golden eyes that makes me want to see how he develops as a character. There's his classmate Ayaka who might be the only person (at first) to show him any sign of interest. Then there's that NEET group of boys who seem to be working under Alice; Tetsu, Major and Hiro. Who's Alice? Well, suffice to say this show is evolve around her. She's a hikki online detective. There's also Min, the owner of a ramen shop where the NEETs hang out. The meeting of these people though not unique but still sparks something that I don't often see in anime these days.

In term of character designs, everyone else look average (nothing really stands out) but has is quite a striking traits with her long hair and big rounded eyes. Almost reminds me of Enma Ai. Though I said they are average, their personality definitely is over the top except for Naruma. He's your typical hero type of protagonist. Saying that means you have to pay credits to the seiyuu for putting lives into these characters. Even Naruma isn't as boring as his character appeared to be.

He's voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. He hasn't done that many shows. According to MAL, only two works so far and this is his second one. He's quite good as Naruma maybe that's why he's entrusted with a leading male protagonist. Someone I need to watch out for. I am not familiar of the other seiyuu (except Daisuke Ono but he's yet to make an appearance) so it's not fair for me to judge them though like I've said earlier, they did a good job.

If there's an OP to this show, I must have missed it, so engrossed I was with the whole thing.

I expected a show of tsundere loli but J.C. Staff surprises me with how 'mature' this turn out to be. The story is definitely takes a higher more sophisticated road (though Alice is still a loli). Good job indeed hough I do agree with Scamp that this show could have been on another different level if SHAFT produced it. Or Brain Base since for whatever reason this sorta reminds me of Durarara.

I am definitely going to watch this show for the summer. Who would have thought. I love it when a production studio proved me wrong :)
