Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Diary of a tard: Week 5, September 2011

Monday, September 26

I promised Bass that I will read Eyeshield 21. I don't even know why did I promise that in the first place but well, a promise is a promise so here goes nothing... Chapter 1: I didn't even get the protagonist name but he's quick on his foot and is agile. He volunteered to be the team manager for the American football club to impress a girl of his dream. There are only 2 active members (excluding him) in the club though. While he was running away from the bullies, his 'actions' were observed by another guy who was interested in him because of his abilities. Turned out this guy is in that club as well (and is the captain) and will recruit Sena (that's the protagonist name btw) by hook or by crook. How Sena get the name Eyeshield 21? Because Hiruma said so. Heh I like Hiruma already.

Might as well read Chapter 2 of Eyeshield 21. Sena went to his first training (more like forced by Hiruma) and he set the fastest time, even beat the school records for the 40-yards dash. Hiruma wasn't surprised but hell this is getting interesting even more so when Hiruma is determined to join the Spring tournament that will take place the day after. With only 3 members? Can they do it?

Episode 23 of Ao no Exorcist almost makes me come in my pantsu. I love it for obvious reasons ^__^

Wednesday, September 28

I didn't know Minami grew up in Germany. Episode 8 of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni is a flashback of a year ago when she first enrolled in that school. That was the first time she met Yuuji and the others too (except the pink haired girl whose name I completely forgotten, possibly on purpose). The best introduction was obviously from Tsuchiya Kouta - nothing in particular XD. Minami had trouble adapting since she wasn't good with Japanese at that time. She didn't actually left a good first impression either. Everyone else avoided her except for Yoshii who actually put an effort to be her friend. No wonder she fell for him.

Tsuchiya Kouta is poster worthy

In episode 8 of Blood-C, Saya met the talking dog again and he revealed that he grants wish for the customers who came to his shop. This makes me even more convinced that he's Fumito, the shop owner of that place Saya and his father frequent. Saya has problem remembering to whom did she promised to save everyone and the dog will help her remember. The next day she had to fight another Elder Bairns who sorta revealed that Tokayashi was telling lies, to hide the truth from Saya. She eventually defeated the Elder Bairns and who but Tokizane appeared while she was drench in blood.

Episode 24 of Ao no Exorcist. Awesome setup for the ending next week :D

LOL Dalian is into BL and yaoi too. This was revealed in episode 4 of Dantalian no Shoka. Ah damn now I can't hate her. Hugh was investigating a writer name Lenny Lents who wrote to his grandfather asking for help. According to him, he was imprisonment by a bizarre book. He was right. An avid fan of his locked he and his lover and kill them alternately in exchange of their soul to each other. She wanted the perfect ending for the trilogy but never satisfied with what Lenny have written. I never get that mad watching an anime. When she killed them alternately I want to fucking throttle her throat and then torture her to death. That's the most cruel thing I have ever seen in anime to date. Jeebus.

Check out Boku Ha Tomodachi Ga Sukunai (OVA). I heard it was good based on Glo's review but the OVA kinda fall a bit short for me.

Chapter 466 of Bleach. Another chapter of good guy beating the bad guy.

Friday, September 30

Episode 4.5 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisee: Claude is a really skeptical person and has no appreciation for arts. He doesn’t even like the Bohemian just because, according to him, they play music all day and “extort” money from people. The Bohemian in question is a gypsy woman who plays Japanese songs on her guitar. She is invited for a recital at Alice’s house and obviously Yune is invited as well so that she can sing to the songs. Camille being a bitch about the gypsy’s grandparent not being together even though they loved each other. Jeebus she’s trying my patience. I hope Claude will never pick her even in the next life time.

Boku, Otaryman
is an OVA dedicated to otaku every where. At least that's what I think when I watched it.

Diary of a tard: Week 4, September 2011

Monday, September 19

It has been a while. Blood-C episode 6: Holy fuck, Nene is dead! She was beheaded by the centipede monster. Then it was Nono's turn. She was taken by a shadow monster or something. Saya was present at both scenes. Nene ad Nono weren't the only casualties though. People were killed like they were flies. This show would have been awesome if they didn't fucking censored it!

The final episode of No. 6. I was totally biased when I watched this and thus I see everything in tinted glasses including the absurdity of the whole conclusion.

Dantalian no Shoka episode 3: Huey and Dalian were invited to Camilla's villa (I like her straightaway) for tea. She then told them about the Book of Wisdom, another phantom book that has fallen in the hands of small children. They became so brilliant and evil at the same time. They let Huey and Dalian took the book though and burned it. That's that. The other half of the episode is about a carnivorous plant that bloom once in 13 years. It's petal bait looks like a book thus it's name "Queen of the Night". Dalian is rude to everyone I guess but Camilla knows how to deal with it.

Episode 21 of Ao no Exorcist makes me disappointed in Yukio. I know he's better than that. Fuck that old fuck.

As for Bleach, who would have thought that I wanna make babies with Renji? Yep, he's that fucking badass in chapter 465. I hardly believe it myself.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée episode 7: Claude isn't happy when Yune gives her bread to the kid who stole the candlestick. He practically snaps at her and calls her childish. Bad timing though because Yune is not feeling too well. Further more, Alice put this idea that if they haven't kiss each other on the cheek, that means s/he is not accepting you yet. She fainted and causes Claude to panic thinking it was his fault. He even swallows his pride and go to Alice for help. Awww....

highlight of the episode? lol

I'm not looking forward to episode 8 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée because it's about Camille and Claude. Why can't Yune and Claude happen? He only need to wait a few years till she matured! Gah! But anyway, Alice invited Yune to a tea party and Claude tags along. There he meets with his old flame Camille. I can see Claude is still affected by her which means he must still have feelings for her. But Camille is a logical person knowing how different their social status are. She said that as if to accuse Claude for being so childish to take offense that she can't be with him. That makes me mad actually. Though in appearance she's perfect, she has a rotten personality. I'm glad that Yune triumph over her.

They are still having that tea party in episode 9 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. Most of the episode however is dedicated to Claude and Camille childhood days. I don't get it. Why does this show is suddenly about Camille and Claude? I am not jumping on the bandwagon dammit so stop forcing it down my throat!

that mouth... I wanna kissu!

Thank goodness there's no more reminiscing shit with Camille in episode 10 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. Claude is away on a business deal. He and his late father Jean weren't close and that's why he doesn't like it when people compares his works with his father. While he's away, Oscar, Yune and Alice have a little fun at the store when Oscar brings out the slide projector. They end up invite the whole Galery to join in on the fun too.

Yune asks permission to go to the Grand Magasin in episode 11 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée but Claude says no. Grand Magasin is the enemy of the Gallery after all. Claude has been grumpy ever since that Camille episode but it seems like there is other reason why he's all mad and it has something to do with his dad. To make up to Yune, Claude brings her to a picnic in the park. Unexpectedly Yune broke down and for the first time since she's been to Paris, she tells Claude about her Shione sister. Shione has blue eyes and Japan does not like anything/anyone different so she was outcast. She was unhappy and as time went by turned sickly and blind. This episode also shows Claude insecurities. I don't think he will have it easy if one day Yune decides to leave.

The last and final episode of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. Oh boy, Claude is really terribad at hinding his emotions. He pushes away people in order not to hurt himself. This is way too familiar for me to find comfort. I have never seen him that mad before, at Yune nonetheless. He told her to get out "but stay in the Gallery". Yune did get out to follow Yannick-san's cat and Claude thought she has ran away. Claude managed to find her though on the roof. Yune almost fell and that reminded Claude at the accident at Grand Magasin that took his father's life. All hope is not lost yet then since it seems like Claude do care a lot about Yune. It was a heart-felt and warm ending for this show. I give this show 8.6/10 :)

the embarrassed face of Claude is so moe :3

Nyanpire the Animation episode 10: Meowsamune thought that Nyanpire has some incurable disease and about to die when in fact he's just choking from a strawberry hull. So Meowsamune bought Nyanpire all sorts of health products which he forced Nyanpire to consume. But of course Nyantenshi came along and pointed out the fact that Nyanpire is immortal. Heh win.

Episode 11 of Nyanpire the Animation: It's the Halloween. While the other dressed up to the occasion, Nyantenshi went around threatening kids with sweets lol. As usual Meowsamune got the end of the stick with his ghostly costume.

The final episode of Nyanpire the Animation: Nyanpire just realized that he has eternal life and thus his friends will die before him. Since he didn't have a heart to see the death of his friends, he decided to follow the vampire that gave him immortality. But since he didn't know where to find him, "he" said that his place is still among his friends thus Nyanpire had a reunion with them who didn't even know what was going on.

Diary of a tard: Week 2, August 2011

Monday, August 8

Episode 5 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée: It says that Japan has a group mentality where one person would like doing stuff that others do as well. This makes me remember what my friend who studied in Japan said. He said that they really do stay in group and even if the rest of the group are absent, s/he rather be alone than communicate with other groups. On the other hand, French are suspicious of people who are too friendly to strangers. lol the world we live in... because of that advice, Yune has become a cautious person and doesn't sure how to act as everything is opposite of how things are in Japan. Yune has to deal with her first theft. She runs after the boy but in turn gets lost in the gallery. Claude eventually found her and straightened the misunderstanding.

awww... marry me, Claude ♥

Nyanpire's owner brings home a new cat called Chachamaru in episode 5 of Nyanpire the Animation. Nyanpire thought he's getting thrown away but once his owner explained that he has to become Chachamaru's big brother, Nyanpire is more than ready to oblige. He doesn't expect to get bullied by Chachamaru though that's not really what happened. Nice twist lol.

Himeji forces Akihisa to wear girl's uniform in episode 4 of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! He lost a game of Bullshit (yes, it does exist!) where Himeji 'accidentally' joins them after she takes Hideyoshi out. He and Yuuji are stripped until they only left with their undies. The second half of the episode is about Test Run of Summoned Being. Their summons get an upgrade in which they can now talk. They start by telling secrets of their masters thus havoc ensued.

among many other things, I'm sure ^_^

Blood-C episode 5: Unlike the previous four episodes, this time it started off with Saya fighting the Elder Bairns right away. Saya is totally overwhelmed by the monster at first but once she figured it out, she takes the monster out using her bare hands. Her head starts to get all fuzzy whats with the covenant thing and what not. It just so happened that the next day, she found out some of the story of the covenant from her homeroom teacher. She gets flashbacks (of previous Saya's experience) and collapsed. Just when I thought the suspense is over, a monster appeared out of the blue to attack her and Nene.
p/s: Saya shows signed of falling for Tokizune and that damn dog definitely has a role to play.

Thursday, August 11

I swear that the females dominate the male in Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!. In episode 5, Akihisa received a letter of blackmail. Naturally Akihisa is bothered by the letter. I lol'd when he said the sender of the letter must be in love with the two girls in their class: Himeji and Hideyoshi. Minami quickly fetched a metal bat to clobber him with lmao. At last both he and Yuuji (who is going to get married to Shouko soon) seek advice from Voyeur. Then off they go to Mizuki plain for a school trip and decided to catch the culprit during bath time which mean they are going to peep at the girls' bath. It wasn't easy as it sounds though as the teachers interfered. They still can't find the girl who threatened them which mean this will be continued in episode 6.

best quote =D

Dantalian no Shoka episode 2: Huey is doing an appraisal for Miss Lilburn's books. Huey is concerns that she lives out in the mountain all by herself. It seems like she's cursed by a book not to leave that house. Those who tried have been mysteriously murdered. Truth is, there's no cursed book, only cursed family. The females in Lilburn family all has natural tendency for murder and so the male created a golem to cover up the evidence. This time Huey read from two tablets of Phantom Books to destroy the golem. Good episode. Shit, this show is consistent.
p/s: Huey's right arm can no longer be used properly?

why, thank you :)

Episode 2 of Double J: Toba is preserving manga. Apparently manga has been around since ancient time and known and Chouju-giga. Toba tried to bring it back to modern time by tweaking it a bit. It was surprisingly funny or maybe I'm just in a good mood today lol

If you watched it, maybe you'll see why this is funny

Alice hasn't given up on Yune yet. She has once again invited Yune in episode 6 of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. This time, for a photograph. Although I don't like Alice, I love it when she's around Claude. His reactions are always so fun to watch. But this episode is about crinoline, the undergarment that hold the shape of skirt. Yune tried wearing one and she's so moe in it. Crinoline is like a birdcage according to Yune and Camille, though seems elitist, obviously not happy with what she has become. She definitely wants freedom. I have a feeling that she might ends up with Claude one day... but I want ClaudexYune to happen! *pouts* lol lolicon me.

First Impression: Dantalian no Shoka

Is it just me or is the first few seconds of Dantalian no Shoka sounds like a woman having sex? Turns out, it wasn't even a woman but a small boy *facepalm*

Dantalian no Shoka is a place who-the-hell-knows somewhere in the universe or in your imagination. That's where the episode started which is fitting I guess otherwise the explanation for it will drag on forever. It's also where the small version of our protagonist, Hugh Anthony Disward, met Dalian for the first time.

(c) G Yuusuke

Fast forward a few years, Huey is all grown up and is a fine good looking young man. One day he received a letter of his dead grandfather who was a book-lover. In order for him to inherit the place, he has to take responsibility of Dantalian no Shoka. To be honest, I envy him. I wish someone would leave me a mansion full of books as well. That would be heaven on earth and I don't have to step out of the house ever again. Anyhoo, all the books in the mansion were moved to the basement where he once again meet Dalian, who his grandfather wants him to take care of.

Huey has no recollection of Dantalian no Shoka and he's pretty skeptical when Dalian tells him what it could mean. He is not a believer of fairy tale at all. Not even when Dalian told him that Conrad killed his grandfather for he believed that his grandfather was killed by a burglar. Conrad stole a Phantom Book and the content of that book came to life and murdered the household.

I was pretty surprised at how sharp and fluid the animation is when the characters from the book appeared and started attacking Huey and Dalian. I guess I am underestimating Gainax too much. Thank goodness that Huey is somewhat has skill with gun so that he can saved both of their asses but not from dragon though. This is when Dalian shows her true self.

The mysterious key that Huey has with him can open the lock on Dalian's chest. Since Dalian acknowledge him as the keykeeper, he gets to use the power of Dantalian no Shoka. For every problem, it will produce a genuine grimoire for Huey to read which will destroy the thus solved the problem.

Watching Dantalian no Shoka is kinda dejavu. This show reminds me of the book Inkheart (and it's series) where characters come to the real world and will most definitely create havoc. I love that book. I can't say the same thing about this show though. I need to watch a few more episodes before I made up my mind.

art and animation 7/10
story 6/10
characters 5/10
sound 5/10
enjoyment 6/10
overall 6/10
