Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

First Impression: Blood Lad

I look forward to this show since... well, since they first announced the adaptation. It's definitely something that seems to suite my taste better than any of the anime I've seen from the Summer season so far. After all, I do have some weird fetishes and blood just happens to be one of them.

But wait a second... where's the freaking blood?

It's all happy and cheerful with this anime. Doesn't mean that it's not good but yeah I was pretty disappointed. I expected something gore, not this fuwa-fuwa shit. Staz is great though. I like him the moment he was introduced. He's a vampire descendant and the boss of the East Demon world. He loves anything human and especially adores Japan. One day, a melon on two legs appeared. He was excited as fuck until she was killed and become a demon. Somehow one thing led to another, so he promised to bring her back to life and follows her to the human world.

Like I said, no blood was spilled. Staz did fight a bad guy but I wouldn't even called it a fight. More like the show just trying to show off that Staz is really the boss of the territory.

Oh pardon me, I didn't notice the comedy genre up until now. Dafuq.

Will continue to watch this though.

First Impression: Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko

I have my reservation for this show simply because I'm not a fan of any ecchi/hentai genre and the blatant hentai in the title is enough to put me off. However, lets not forget that this show is produced by J.C. Staff. They often produced good anime despite the title and I have a list to prove that.

Watching the OP, I have a feeling that this show is going to turn out as harem which is not far from the truth. There are three girls, each with different identity: stoic, tsundere and yandere. Then there's this dude who is basically a hentai through-and-through.

The stoic and him made a wish at a stony cat statue and both get the wishes that they desired. Hentai has lost his facade and the stoic girl, her facial expression. It is only then that they realized they made a mistake so they are going to help each other to get what they have lost.

Hentai-san facade is now belong to the tsundere. We still need to figure out where miss stoic's facial expression went to.

I can't say that I enjoy the show because it was too over the top most of the time, as well as the hentai shit. It wasn't bad though, just not my cup of tea.

First Impression: Kakumeiki Valvrave

I read a lot about this show on twitter but I somewhat managed to filter them out and so I an sitting here without any expectation whatsoever. Lets hope it can blow my socks away which is going to be a feat since I am not really a fan of mecha to begin with.

Well, the good thing about this show is, I can not give a fuck about the mecha because the villains, those damn bad sadistic boys, are what makes this show interesting for me. Haruto? Valvrave? I don't give a shit.

I like the fact that L-Elf is one cold blooded murderer. He and his boys are the reason I'm going to continue watching this show.

By the way, I do not appreciate the fact that Haruto turned into Sparkling Edward at the end. What the fuck is that bullshit?

First Impression: Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu - Uta Koi

I have high hopes for Utakoi because I am a sucker for romance. Thank goodness that this show delivers what it has promised. It has the necessary elements that made the translation and adaptation of  the poetry works exceptionally well.

The strength of this show definitely lies with the romance story line which is narrated by Fujiwara no Sadae, brother of Fujiwara no Takaiko. He tells the story of two different love stories, the first being that of his sister and Narihira and the other about Narihira's brother Yukihira and his wife Hiroko. Narihira and Yukihira have two very different personalities thus they approached romance and responded to love differently as well.

I am not a fan of the art and animation though. It's too one dimensional for me. Having said that, the character designs weren't bad, at least it make perfect sense why Narihira is a womanizer because he really does looks hot. It is also interesting to see the setup since the story took place in a different era of the old Japan. At the same time, they do not forget the culture of that time which is very important in my opinion for a historical anime.

I find myself liking both the OP and the ED, I thought they were both have catchy tunes. I'm not complaining about the seiyuus either. They all breathed in some personality in their characters. Narihira for example, sounds smexy as fuck, and this is credited to his seiyuu. Same goes for the tsundere Takaiko.

I like what I see but given how busy I am, I am not too sure whether or not I won't put this in the backlog after a few more episodes. That remains to be seen I guess but for the time being, I'll enjoy the romance. It's sweet and just makes me want to cuddle with my crush. Gosh I miss him terribadly T__T

First Impression: Accel World

I have seen some of the fanarts for this show, and what others have to say about it on Twitter but still, it doesn’t prepare me at all for what the show really is. I was totally lost the first five minutes checking it out.

We have this fat and short male protagonist, Haru, who is naturally weak and get bullied by everyone, and often escaped from reality by joining the virtual world, of which he transformed into a pig. Orz. One day he got a break when the most popular girl offered an application (Brain Burts) which totally shattered his concept of reality. It brings him to Accelerated World, or Accel World in short.

(c) Ekakibito
He is the kind of protagonist that pissed me off. He knows he is weak and cowardly so why the fuck doesn’t he want to change that and actually pushed people who wanted to help him away? I would have smacked people like him in real life so hard just for the fun of it. I mean, they love it, don’t they? That’s why they don’t want to change.

Oh, did I mention that the technology is so advanced they don’t need computer or keyboard or modem. All they need is what seemed to be an electronic neck collar that allows you to connect and use the computer using your eyesight vision. Pretty nifty, right?

Black Swallowtailed Butterfly warned Haru not to on the Global Linker at all after school but he forgot. What happened? He got an upgrade (he’s no longer a pig, but a kin of Green Power Ranger) and an opponent to boot.

I am more interesting to see what happened with his friends that he doubted though and probably the only reason why I would continue watching it.

The story is somewhat unique and the art and animation weren’t bad at all. I can’t say that I enjoyed it though. It is more like the story itself force me to sit through the entire episode because it got me curious. I personally think that’s a good thing. At least it piqued my interest.
