Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

First Impression: Shingeki no Kyojin

This show is produced by Production I.G. That is enough reason for me to check this out. Besides, reading the synopsis at MAL, it seems like the kind of shows that Production I.G. is good at producing so this ought to be somewhat satisfying. Well, at least I hope so.

And after 24 minutes of sitting here watching the show, I have only two words to say: HOLY FUCK.

Kudos Production I.G. Kudos.

They managed to produced some REALLY GOOD SHIT in one episode of anime. It was mind blowing experience. So good man, so good.

I refused to spoil anything in this first impression post. This show deserved to be watched and appreciated, not read.

It is now in my MUST WATCH list for this season.

First Impression: Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!

The most anticipated anime of the season. At least for me it is. I just love the goodness from the first season and Matsuri and here hoping the comedy will pick from where they left of. Such high hope I have for this one since most of the other summer anime I've seen so far was a let down :(

The new season jumps straight to beach episode. If it's any other show, it would have us raising our eyebrows skeptically but since this is Baka to Test, it just feels right. Most of the comedy centered around nosebleed (oh the glorious scene of more nosebleed!), swimsuits and Tsuchiya who may have found his person. That's all I'm going to say.

Words won't do justice of the episode so I'm not going to explain in details of the episode. As for the overall story, it has plenty I am sure but it will pretty much be more or less in the same format as the first season. I said that such repetition is not such a good thing for The World God Only Knows II but I think it is perfect for a show like Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu because it is one of it's strongest points. Top it off with excellent casts/characters, the show has all the ingredient to make it into an anime made of WIN.

*nosebleed*

Ah it feels good to watch something that is engaging. It's like taking a breath of fresh air. I've been watching crap anime in a row so I welcome the brilliantly executed comedy in Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! The transition of humors is flawless. The humors don't feel force at all and it what differentiates this show to the likes of R-15, for example.

This is definitely the must watch show of the season. For those who can't watch this because they haven't watch the first season yet (looks at Bass and T-Razor), they are missing shit loads of greatness.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu: Matsuri

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu is a two episodes OVA that was released in Winter of 2010. The focus of this OVA is the "Refresh Festival" that the students of the Academy looking forward to having every year. The students from Class 2-F are no exception.

(c) einlee

However, their enthusiasm level are just like their IQ level. While everyone was busy preparing for the festival, they are merrily playing baseball. They begin to take things seriously when they found out that Himeji might be transferred if they do not do something about the class condition so naturally everyone is fire up. There is no way they are going to allow the only sweet girl in class to leave them. That would make Hideyoshi their only source of fapping. So they all decide to do a fusion of Chinese-European cafe.

Damn, Hideyoshi looks so damn fuckable in that chinese cheongsam

But that's all for day one (episode 1). In day two, they have to join the Exam Summoning Contest and they will only get to keep their money from the sales if they win the contest. Oh well, I refused to let the cat out of the bag. Watch the rest of it yourself to find out. I've spoiled enough.

I am just happy knowing that the OVA still stick to it's own brand of comedy that managed to make me laugh my ass off. Again the characters play a big part in making this OVA enjoyable. Will I ever get tired of their antics? I doubt it. Kudos to the design team and the seiyuus for keeping this characters in character.

This OVA, unlike it's prequel, is solely produced by Silver Link with no help from FUNimation what so ever. Worry not though because you won't notice any different in term of overall feel of the show.

I'm not a fan of the OP much which was sang by Aso Natsuko because it's too bubbly for me. It reminds me of Himeji and I am not exactly fond of people like her. Too pink for my taste which is why I am a fan of the ED. Did you see the above video? It's called I hate Mondays by Milktub and I totally dig it the first time I heard it. Who doesn't hates Monday, right?

I often said that I like certain anime because I can relate to either the story or the characters. I can't relate to any of that when it comes to this show but I still managed to enjoy every damn minutes of it. Good humor pawns relevancy.

If you are a fan of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu like yours truly, it is best that you watch this OVA because it will quench your thirst for this series temporarily. Luckily we are going to have another season in a few weeks time though. Can't wait for that to start my summer.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu

Baka to test to Shoukanjuu Chi is probably one of the few shows that I look forward to for the Summer 2011 season. There is no doubt that the characters are dumb but that in actuality made this show so brilliantly funny and random. Yes, random. Just like Gintama kind of random. That is enough indication on how awesome this show is.

However, I see some people who doesn't even going to give this show a try. They missed out on the first season (that was aired in Winter 2009) and quickly brushed off the second season. So here I am writing this post to convince people like Bass and TRazor. Make yourself a favor and quickly watch the first season now.

Not only we have Yoshii, the most dumb protagonist in the history of anime (more or less, I didn't check stat) that will not get on your nerves, we also have Hideyoshi, a trap male character that is so feminine in appearance that you can't help but what to finger his prostate. He's not your typical trap either which just make you succumb to his charm even more. Then we have Kouta, the voyeur that provides blood for the most part. The dedication he showed is something we all must admire. Then we have the OTP Yuuji and Kirishima that is so made of win, you can't help but want it to happen XD

If that's not enough, we have bloodfest in EVERY FUCKING EPISODE!

So before you made up your mind about this show, ask yourself this question. Would you want to miss out on something that can make you laugh? Do you still want to brush it off after reading how convincingly epic this post is?

If you said yes, you are obviously mental and all the more reason why you should watch Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu.

First Impression: To Aru Majutsu no Index II

I recently completed the first season just so I can remember some of the details from season one. This is another one of the fall anime that I look forward to see the most. I missed Misaka and even the whiny Touma.

Yes, Touma is very whiny for a male protagonist. The start of season 2, and he already whines about his unfinished homework. But I would complained a lot too if I have to live under one roof with Index who unfortunately is still as annoying as ever. Not to mention that she brings all sorts of trouble with her. She's bad luck. I like the fact that Touma acted like a normal high school student for once who worried about his homework and such.

In this episode, she is already being targeted by the enemy who used wind as his weapon. He wanted a volume of book from her memory. His reason? To save her beloved. Aww.... WHAT?! TOO FUCKING CLICHE!

Thank goodness Misaka is in this episode too, being all tsundere with Touma. I couldn't help but giggle at her. That's how I am with my boyfriend too. She makes all Index episodes OK whenever she's in it.

I also see familiar faces at the end of the episode, setting up for bigger plots, like how will he face the midget tomorrow without his homework *chuckles*

Oh btw, I like the OP but the ED? Not so much. Also, my initial thoughts about the characters remain as it is. I can't wait for Accelerator to make his comeback. And more Masaka/Touma please. GIMME MORE DETONATION!

J.C staff has done it again with Index. Congratulation.

First Impression: Senkou no Night Raid

So this was the anime that everyone is making fun of because the mandarin sucks dick. Since I don't speak Mandarin nor do I understand them, I didn't see what was so funny though.

It started off with an interesting action sequence so this series becomes totally acceptable in my book almost instantly. The set up was in Shanghai year 1930s and the hero is a total bishie. This is about a Japanses spy team in the land of China. Each and everyone of them has special ability that made them useful.

Aoi, the bishie has some sort of a wind manipulation power, Yukina is a telepathic, Natsume is a sharp-shooter/sharp-eyes and Kazura... well, his power took me by surprise. It's not so much about his power but the way the animation was made. I am totally diggin it. He's a fucking teleporter.

Aoi, the daredevil

Kazura, the no nonsense teleporter

Yukina, milady of telephaty

Natsume, the quiet sharp-shooter

There is a lot of information to digest though but I'm sure as the episodes multiplied, it will all becomes clear, like it mostly does with this kind of story.

This one is so getting my seal of approval. The animation was sleek. The action sequences were awesome. The plot is good. I couldn't ask for more. At last, a real action anime for the season. If only it has more blood in it, it would have been perfect.

First Impression: Seikon no Qwaser

I am not gonna lie. The only reason why I want to watch this show is because I want to see the oppai-sucking action. I am perverted like that, I guess *giggles*

So of course there will be jiggling oppai everywhere. All sorts of breasts including breast that defy gravity.

just wow... no wonder she tripped a lot

I think I am just gonna seat back and TRY HARD to enjoy this show. Obviously for this kind of show, screencaps worth more than mere words. I have pretty much explained what it was all about in my previous entry anyway.

Threesome is awesome

whoa... O_0

WAIT A FREAKING SECOND... THEY CENSORED THE WHOLE OPPAI-SUCKING SHIT?! No wonder I was freaking clueless. THIS IS SHIT!!! QWASER MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT THE OPPAI-SUCKING SCENES!

They don't even have the courtesy to explain what soma is. I feel bad for the clueless person who watch this without reading the manga.

That's it. I am not bothered to even finish this episode. It just so fucking damn ridiculous. I'm sorry about this shitty first impression, but I can't help it since it is made of shit. Not entirely my fault, isn't it?

If someone can find me the uncensored version, then it would be totally different story XD

First Impression: Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu

I dunno what the heck this show is about. I saw the torrent and decided to download it so I have no expectation whatsoever since I have no idea whether it is an action, shoujo, drama, slice of life or ecchi anime. But judging by the word 'Baka' in the tittle, I pretty much got the idea that it would probably be a comedy show.

And I was right.

Yoshii is a male student at Fumizuki Academy that used the caste system. At the start of the show he took the placement exam and ended in class F, the worst class (in term of condition) there is.

There he met with the other morons

The stupids

Then we have another addition to The Stupids, a sickly girl named Mizuki Himeji. Obviously she's the moe type so all the guys go gaga for her. So as to help her getting into a better class (because in that class her health would probably continue to deteriorate), The Stupids decided to do the Exam Summoning Battle.

Yeah he just repeated whatever I just said >_>

What the fuck is Exam Summoning Battle (or ESB)? In this battle the students can summon a Being with attack power proportional to their grades in a given subject. They can challenge other classes using this Beings. If a lower level class defeats a higher leve one, they will swap facilities and classrooms. The Beings are actually the chibi version of the students.

Like this

Obviously without a secret weapon class F would be done for but they have Mizuki Himeji to save the day. She is actually brilliant and is placed in class F because she was sick during the placement exam. BORING! The gags were pretty funneh before she comes with her 'special power' *yawns*

Despite that, I actually enjoyed the episode. I laugh for real at some of the gags because it was meant to be stupidly funny. They are not pretentious, aren't like some of the stupid anime I recently saw.

Yes, I shamelessly laugh at this XD

The art ain't got anything special but I really like the way they portrayed the background. The same goes for the character designs but hey this is meant to be a comedy after all. But that aside, the most important part is they did not neglect the fans who like bloodfest.

Bloodfest! What's not to like ^__^

Ah... I can never get tired of bloodfest. Besides that scene we also have a profuse case of nosebleed by this guy who take every chance he gets to peak at girls' pantsu.

This guy gotta be my favorite so far ^w^

So basically, if you want a decent comedy for this bleak winter season, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu ain't that bad. I probably will change my mind after a few episodes but I am willing to give this one a try :)
