Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Bleach: Chapter 396

OMG a color spread of Byakuya. I just know that this is going to be one hell of a chapter. I mean, how can one go wrong with a color spread like that right? Yeah I thought so.

And what do you know... We got Aizen admitting that he made a miscalculation when he underestimated the old fuck. That is definitely a good sign. Remember, Aizen just don't make mistake. Period. But when he does, you just know something good is about to happen. Like ...

Eh?! but we already know all of this from last week's chapter? Did we just had a fucking flashback?! We did but nevermind! (I'm writing this as if I am speaking at the top of my voice. That's how fucking excited I am XD)

Am I seeing things? O_o

Yeah, apparently the almight Aizen has been cut but why the fuck am I chuckling like mad? LOL because I fucking know that Aizen will start his preach any time now. For someone so fucking genius, he is damn predictable.

The wound healed. I was surprised when he said it's not high-speed regeneration and revealed that he did not turn himself into a hollow. WTF? I guess this kinda said that Tousen was weak and needed hollow transformation to turn himself into a bug *chuckles* Oh man, I still can't believe he turned into a fly. What a fucked up fucker...

Whoa... hold on a fucking minute. He has the Hougyoku installed on himself? Yep, this pretty much explained his fucking ridiculous power now, isn't it? I was worried if Kubo made him so Godly just based on plot-kai alone *breathes a sigh of relief*

I have been repeatedly said that Aizen is a perfectionist and he never leave any stone unturned. He has been planning his betrayal from hundred years ago when he turned part of the captain and fukutaicho of the Gotei 13 into a Vaizard. So naturally he has been planning Ichigo's fate as a shinigami as well. I am not surprised at all when he revealed this.

However... I am quite curious on how did he find out about Ulquiorra's battle with Ichigo. Does this means he knows of Ulquiorra's second resurrection? Didn't Ulquiorra (God bless him) said that even Aizen didn't know about it? Fuck, I need Ulquiorra to revive like NIAO!!

Also, lets not forget the most important thing about this chapter: the old fuck is most probably dead. Rejoice oh children of the world!! >=D

Incest and Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu

I finally get around to catch up on Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu episodes. The last episode I've seen was two weeks ago so that means I have two episodes that I have not watch. Needless to say that I am very happy to spend 20 plus minutes of my precious life doing nothing but engross myself in the silliness and the humor that is Baka to Test to Shokanjuu.

In episode 9, Akihisa's sister came for a visit. Apparently she has a thing for her brother. The blatant incest imo is funneh, unlike the one in Aki Sora *shudders*

She kept threatening Akihisa with incest attack which of course shuts him up and made him an obedient puppy. Did I mention that she has a HUGE tits? Yeah, Akihisa is one lucky son-of-a-bitch.

His sister totally forbids him having any sexual deviants with the opposite sex but totally endorsed him having one with the same sex. LMAO, how fucking retard is that? I wish I have a sister like that. Or a hawt brother so that I can have evil incest thought about us.

Yes, blame it all on America!

And in the middle of this madness, somehow Yuuji was involved. Kishihime thought that he's having an affair with Akihisa because the amount of text messages he received from him. Of course, Yuuji received a divine punishment after that and everyone mistaken their friendship for an affair after that which saw Himeji in complete denial. Hilarity ensued.

At the end of the episode, Alexander the Great realized that his sister did what she did because she loves and cares for him. Cliche? Yes. But I don't care because it's Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu XD

p/s: Where's the bloody blood?!

Bleach: Episode 262

After the lackluster episode last week, I hope they did something that actually make sense in this week's episode.

Hmm, it looks like it is Matsumoto and Haineko's turn to get the screen time. Another pairs of big boobs to grace the screen. Well, better than Inoue, I say. Besides, it looks like there is romance in the air.

Yeah, I would drool all over him too ^w^

The conversation Haineko has with herself is the funneh. I know that feeling well except that I'm not into older man XD

Yeah, I got that a lot too XD

So apparently Haineko found Narunosuke when they went hunting for Sword Fiends. Since he's injured, and made her heart goes dokidoki, she treated him instead of killing him off. She tries to reason with Matsumoto to let Narunosuke go but of course her appeal was rejected. It was only a matter of time for him to snap. Which he did eventually. Haineko just had to finish him off for real then.

It was an okay episode. A boring one but better than the crap they served us last week.

First Impression: Working!!

I remember saying that I will probably going to like this show. Something about the description kinda intrigued me (hint: the word strange). Also, this is produced by A1 Pictures. I love some of their works (Kannagi and Oofuri to name a couple) so I have quite an expectation for this show as well. I am quite surprise that the first episode is already out. It was scheduled to release on April 4, if I am not mistaken.

edit: It seems like this is a special episode or something.

The episode started off with a busy day at the Wagnaria restaurant and the conversation that followed was about finding a new part-timer, who, you guessed it, is the protagonist in this show.

Taneshima Popura, one of the waitress at the restaurant was given the task to find the new part-timer so she went on the streets but phailed to find one until she met with a stranger, which will (eventually) be the protagonist, Takanashi Shouta, and offered him the job. Shouta mistook her as a lost child (who wouldn't?)

I understand your confusion, Shouta

I got a feeling that Taneshima will be an annoying character that I have to deal with but the show promised lots of other interesting characters so I think they balanced her out perfectly. For example:
  • the manager, Shirafuji Kyoko, is a straight forward kinda girl. She didn't do much work and is honest about it as she told Shouta with a straight face. Then she told a customer that she needs to burn the ugly fat when she complained about the restaurant was too hot. That's hilarious. And she's very sensitive when it comes to her age.
  • Satou Jun who looks so damn cool with his hair covering half of his face. I'm not sure if that's hygienic enough for a chef though since his hair might gets in the food.
  • Souma Hiroomi, the chatty blue-haired person who seems to be closed friends with with Satou. He's also one of the chef. Apparently the chefs in Wagnaria are all good looking hunks.
  • Todoroki Yachiyo, the shift leader who carries around a katana on her waist, even during working hour. She NEVER opens her eyes, that's how fucking badass she is.
  • And then there's Miharu Inami who is androphobic. Shouta got punched in the face as a greeting! lmao I have never met an anime character that's androphobic before.
  • Let's not forget the forgettable protagonist, shall we? Takanashi Shouta is just like any other male out there. I love hearing his thoughts. At first I was afraid if he has any romantic feelings for Taneshima because that would just ruined everything. To my big relief, he is kinda a weirdo ^o^
So much win!

As you can tell, this first episode is pretty much an introductory episode for all the characters. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next episode already.

Alice in Wonderland

Finally got a chance to watch Alice in Wonderland today. I went in with an expectation that I will blown away after hearing all the hype and praises for the film. Well, was I blown away? Keep on reading and don't tl;dr me you biatch because this won't even be that long. I ain't gonna spoil anything to anyone.

The start of the movie is really good but kinda cliche. Actually the whole movie is cliche. Who doesn't know of Alice in Wonderland right? We all have heard of it growing up, or read about it and some might have even saw the old movie of it.

Even though there might be some twist of plots, the principal of the story remains the same.

But credits have to be given to Tim Burton for his imaginations and creativeness. That, ultimately, what make this movie enjoyable and different.

People are queuing to see the movie for several reasons in my opinion.
  1. They are fans of Tim Burton. He's rather famous for his oddities that are often reflected in his movies. I'm one of those people.
  2. They are fans of Johnny Depp. Self explanatory really and yep, I'm of the those people as well.
  3. The superb marketing strategy. The hype around this show is amazing!
  4. Their friends asked them to come along
The end of the movie somehow kinda anti-climatic for me. It felt too abrupt. I expected more so obviously I was kinda disappointed. It would be awesome to have more bloody scene than chitty-chatter. Oh wait, this movie is rated U (safe) >_>

My favorite characters gotta be the Red Queen and the White Queen. Helena Bonham Carter, just like usual, wow me again with her versatility. She and Burton are match made in heaven imo because both are half mad. They complete each other lol. I like to mention Anne Hathaway too. Her 'gracefulness' as the White Queen tickles my funny bones. I like to try walking like her when I meet my friends and see how they react. I probably will get a kick in the butt and then I shall yell "Off with their heads!" or dicks if they are males *chuckles* Special mention for Matt Lucas as well. Tweedledum and Tweedledee are oddly (what's not odd in this movie?) entertaining.

Now, don't be so quick to hang me because I did not say that Mad Hatter is my favorite character. I personally think that this is not the best performance by Depp. Somehow it feels like it lack something. Some soul perhaps? I dunno but I just don't feel him.

As for Alice, well... I don't feeling her too much either but I love her dress when she was Red Queen's favorite when she pretends she was from Umbridge. I want skirt just like that.

Kudos for the special effect teams for making me feels like I am part of Wonderland, like I am actually there.

In conclusion, I wasn't blown away by this movie. Can't even say that it impresses me. But I know people who really enjoyed it and wanted to go see it again. Each to his/her own.

K-ON on national tv

Yeah, today the nation rejoice for the premier of K-ON! on cable TV animax. I can't believe the hype around this show. For the past few weeks, all you heard was K-ON! this and K-ON! that. They even did a cosplay event or some Anime Showdown to celebrate the airing of the show.

This is definitely the most over-rated anime show to date. I enjoy it to an extend (filler for bored time) but other than that it was nothing special.

Having said that, I too has fallen victim of the extensive and successful marketing of K-ON! I have bought the complete set of nendos of the K-ON! members and figma of Tanaka Ritsu but that's because they are just too damn cute and not because I am big fan of the show.

I seriously hope people won't get too much brain damage from watching the ridiculous moe-ness in this show, now that its going nationwide. I pray that at least the second season of K-ON! would has one plot in it. Please KyoAni, grant my wish!

p/s: K-ON on Animax every Tuesday at 8pm.
