Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

Diary of a tard: Week 4, January 2011

Monday, January 24

Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge episode 7: (1) About health between Shirai and Mayor (2) Check-up with P-ko obsessing her physical outlook (3) everyone else obsessed of getting sick to get the attention of their love one. (4) everyone ended up getting an evaluation for rocket launching in which they have to stay in the basement for 5 days to see how they cooperating. Girls with girls and boys with boys. Obviously hell broke lose. For girls it was P-ko who became the victim. The boys however pass with flying colors. NOT! LOL

I feel like watching the anime in aphabetical order. Next up is Beelzebub episode 2 and 3. Hilda moved in to Oga-chin's house and Oga's mission is to find someone stronger than him so Beel will leave him alone. So he met Kanzaki (whose seiyuu is Sugita. w00t!) but again it was a phailed attempt. The electrocution is still annoying as fuck.

Fuck fucking yes though for Zettai Karen Children chapter 247: I didn't notice this before but just when Minamoto was about to kiss Feather, Kaoru appeared and was in Feather's place so Minamoto kissed her instead. FUCKING W00T! Things were obviously awkward between them after that *chuckles*

Holy shit. I just realized that it has been over a year since Durarara was first released and I am still on episode 13. New OP and ED. I like the old one better. But that aside this episode focuses on Anri as the narrator. Obviously I'm interested. I have always been interested when it comes to the trio. She's narrating the life of Celty after the event that took place in the last episode. She, understandably, is making an enemy with the Traffic Police Force, especially one of the officer: Kuzuhara Kinnosuke. It was funny to see her shivering in fear in Shinra's arms and claiming the TPF as the monsters. During their conversation, it was hinted that she and Shinra is now bed partner. I smiled at how sweet the relationship is. Besides the officer, Shinra's dad has came home too. As for Anri, she knows that Ryugamine and Kida both like her but she couldn't make up her mind about them since she's still so hung up on Harima. Towards the end, it seems like Kida has something to do with the Yellow members. If Ryugamine is the leader of Dollars, I assumed Kida must be someone important in Yellow as well. Perhaps the leader? Izaya warned Ryugamine about them not happy with Dollars. Heh yeah, I can distinguished who is who in the chat room now. This episode points out the slasher that has been killing people around since the Dollars meeting and at the end, it kills the three sluts who were bullying Anri. Fuck I love this show.

The Disckonian that Ki killed was really mad and sent a signal of distress to the rest of his species in episode 3 of Level E. They have until sunset to give Ki up but of course they can't do that so they tried all methods to get Ki's memories back. It was hilarity. None of the methods worked though. Why? Because Ki set all these shit up. What the fuck? I've been had. Actually we are all have been punk'd! LMAO. This is awesome :DDD

Wednesday, January 26

After almost a year, I’m resuming my watch on Fairy Tail, now on episode 16. Natsu stopping Gray from kicking Lyon’s ass. Unnecessary drama if you asked me. But yeah, Gray managed to kick Luon’s ass at the end of it but it was too late since Delliora has awoken and Gray is determined to seal it again using Iced Shell just like UI.

Let’s move on to another boregasm show, GetBackers episode 11: Gin and Ban have to cooperate with Dr. Jackal, Himiko, Shido and Katsuki for this new job and it involved Infinite Castle. They are to retrieve IL from the castle. When Ginji got there, obviously complication arose since he’s the former emperor. Looks like the new guy in charge (Makubex) had some nasty ill wills going on. Things are getting interesting indeed.

Thursday, January 27

I'm glad I decided to watch Hourou Musuko episode 2. I was reluctant at first since I don't think I want to see the drama even though I think this is a great show. Chizuru made me laughed. She reminds me of Maya from Kuragehime. This episode is about Saori getting into terms Nitori and Takatsuki. She obviously has feelings for Suichi and is not dumb not to see that Suichi/Takatsuki have feelings for each other. That's why she's no longer friends with them or everyone else. I like her character a lot in the beginning but towards the end, she disappoints me. Suichi really needs to step into the real world though but I kinda understand where he's from so it leaves me in a dilemma. I dunno whether to support him or shake him till his teeth rattle. He's a bad influence for Makoto. Now he's turning gay. And I don't like the fact that the feeling of Suichi/Takatsuki has been cemented since episode 1. The highlight of the episode for me got to be Maho's love story unfolding. Kyaaaah, I'm such a sucker for romance.

Saturday, January 29

Giant Killing episode 11: The match became extremely intense with Tatsumi’s side doing all the defending from Nagoya. Tsubaki in particular has been doing all the hard jobs blocking the ball from entering the goal. Nice, and it’s only the first half. Long way to go. I hope Tsubaki will not lose it in the second half. Great stuff, this show ^_^

The start of episode138 of Gintama was kinda WTF. Black Dragon and Stainless Boy? I thought I was watching a wrong show for a moment and it seemingly is not related to the episode at all. After the OP, Shinpachi and Kagura was cleaning the place when they found Gintoki’s old picture of his ex girlfriend former partners for the “Odd Jobs” before Shinpachi and Kagura came along. They all looked the same as Black Dragon, had a psychogun attached to their arm, or in Ikezawa’s case, a sake bottle. It was fucked up, as usual, which made it so much fun.

Bleach: Chapter 434

Finally, a fucking update!

It has been a while since we had an chapter page like this. We had a lot of it during the earlier chapters, right?

And it looks like Don Kanoji is still doing the stupid shows after all these years. Jeebus, people in Japan must have been lacking in entertainment business if they are tolerating with Don Kanoji's shit.

Anyway, Karin is acting suspicious. She can't wait for Yuzu to go to bed. My first thought was this: Karen wants to meet with Urahara afterward and wouldn't want Yuzu to find out. It couldn't go farther than the truth because they are both still up because they are waiting for Ichigo to come home. Apparently he didn't come home for two days.

Sometimes I want Ichigo to be my brother so we could have incestship ^_^

Ichigo has comfortably makes friends with the Xcutioners. He's definitely at their hide out often and in this chapter, we gotta learn Rurika's power. Since Ichigo needs to train, she brought a doll house over to their HQ. Her full bring is just that: Doll House. She can freely insert/remove object/people from anything that she redeems cute. This obviously sounds like a lot of bullshit, as expected from Kubo. The flu must have infected his brain -__-

So Ichigo first training with the Xcutioners is to fight all the stuff toys inside the doll house. Creepy. But this would be interesting nonetheless. He's going to use his strength but how long can he keeps up?

So from now on, I assumed Kubo is going to introduce the different full bring of each member in every chapter. I want to know what Yukio's full bring is. He intrigues me.

In hindsight, I get why the chapter is titled Berry in the Box now. How cliche.

Cakes!

Warning: This is obviuosly a self-glorified post

My second resolutions for the year of 2011 is to try out baking and get a professional cert for it. I was planning to quit my job and focus on getting the cert. Unfortunately, I can't leave my job at the moment with all the projects that are coming in. I need to find a replacement in less than a month time, which kinda impossible whats with the workload and scope of work that I'm doing.

It kind of frustrating because I really want to get into the academy and start baking as soon as possible! But I have to be a responsible adult. So I opted for another options that can keep the desire for learning burning (because if I don't, the passion would soon be extinguished). I bought a baking book and have keep myself busy baking cakes one after the other.

as you can see, I'm crazy about chocolate cakes

I must have a talent for it I guess since they all turned out fine and edible. I have lots of guinea pigs to test my cakes and they seemed to enjoy it a lot. I had even received several orders for them which just makes me even more determined to get the cert.

There are still few more recipes left in the book that I need to try out. Once that done, I'll proceed to the next book and so on. I can't wait for August to come!

Who knows baking can be so fun.

(c) vader

But not as fun as watching a great anime ^__^

And since this is a self glorify post, I just want to point out that in just roughly 4 months, I got another 100K hits. I beat Glo's record of 7 months but he's still far ahead of me and I doubt I can catch up to him. 200K hits and a post about cakes. It wasn't a big deal at all.

Diary of a tard: Week 3, January 2011

Sunday, January 16

I'm in a mood for comedy so I pick up Mitsudomoe episode 7. I almost forgot how chaotic and fun this show is. I lol'd when Hitoha got so into the Gachi rangers. It was lulz worthy when she tried to talk about it with her fellow classmates but phailed at it. Obviously things get awry when the teacher involved. Then the classmates got confused because the twins dad looked like Satou when he's at their age. What a fucking coincidence, eh? LOL I would be traumatized if I was Oga-chin.

The irony is, despite her personality, Hitoha is the most talkative in this show

Monday, January 17

Rie Kugumiya was annoying in Dragon Crisis. I hate it.

Mitsudomoe episode 8: Mitsuba tasted her own medicine thanks to Hitoha during gym class. Then we got the cockroach exterminator scene that turned out to be about the teacher's obsession with Gachi Rangers. Next up was Futaba short break with her song about boobs while she saved a lost boy. Not as funny as the last episode but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Tuesday, January 18

As predicted, Fractale was awesome. It exceeded my expectation. w00t!!

mangastream published a new manga today called Soul Eater Not! I think it's a parody of Soul Eater. It still has it own set of original cast but this time the focus is on a girl from Japan, Tsugumi Halberd. She's the weapon type (pretty much like Soul). It pretty much explained what the school is. Hmm, instead of a parody, I feel like this is more like an introductory manga for Soul Eater. Even Sid sensei is not a zombie yet and Medusa is still around so I wonder when is this. Not too bad but I wonder if it's necessary. Why don't the mangaka just focus more on the manga and make it a weekly manga instead of monthly? Tsugumi looks like a Maka clone so I don't like her much but the new faces are fresh and interesting and I spotted bishies so I'm gonna follow this one just because :3

Wednesday, January 19

Another show that I dropped after the first episode is Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakare ne. It was torture.

Thursday, January 20

Kore wa Zombie desu ka is full of random goodness. Now I can see why Glo said it reminds him of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu because I can't relate it to Gintama. Gintama is too epic for the like of this show :D

I'm watching episode 3 and 4 of Starry Sky. I gotta meet Tsubasa the inventor, Azusa the shortie, Shiranui Kazuki the fucking cool dude and Hayato Aozora the redhead. Jeebus, they tried to create some drama but it was torture. Fuck, why am I still watching this? Oh yeah Sugita. But he wasn't around for these episodes. There's Yuuichi Nakamura though.

I was completely wrong with my initial thoughts for Hourou Musuko. I stand corrected.

Friday, January 21

Level E surprised me with the humor. I'm liking it.

Saturday, January 22

I turned a deaf ears and blind eyes for the Fractale debacles so that I won't let it get to me when I watch episode 2 of the show.

Sunday, January 23

LOL fuck, Level E totally got me to believe that Ki El looks so fucking hideous in the last episode. Turns out, that was his pet Clive. Jeebus. Then an octopus like UFO came down and sent out scouters to search Ki El. They landed in Disckonians territory. Apparently Ki and the scouters are from the planet Dogura and the captain of the UFO ship went to Disckonian leader (disguise as human) to seek help. There are other species on earth as well like Ellerians who are the Dickonians sworned enemy. These species are vulgars and love violence. Anyway, the girl next door found out about Ki and as expected she will help them out. I got a feeling that she's just amusing herself. She was around when the scouters found Ki (who is a Prince of Dogura) who has killed a Dickonian. Fuck... trouble!

oh so bishie ^_^

Just so you know, I really hate Glo for this. He challenged me to watch the shittiest anime ever and since I have an ovary, I accepted it. So here I am watching Rio: Rainbow Gate! Fuck you Glo! Episode 2 is about bouncing boobs, training the clumsiest intern ever, Rio as gate holder and Elvis challenging her for the card. Episode 3 is about a haunting casino in an old castle. FUCK THIS IS FUCKING SHIT!!!

Fractale: Episode 2

So Nessa apparently is the key to the world and this confirms that Phryne is definitely not from Clain's world. I am still waiting for further explanation though. It seems like Phryne is like a princess or something since all the servants were frantically looking for her.

This is the episode where Nessa is introduced to the public. I must say, she gives me a good first impression. I love how energetic she is and I'm showing interest to her seiyuu, which is not common in my case since I usually don't pay any attention to female seiyuu. Kana Hanazawa is perfect as Nessa.

Speaking of Nessa, she seems to have some sorts of power. Err duh, since she is the key of the world after all. Halfway through the episode, Clain left her to the securities to be taken care of. At this point apparently Clain cannot touch Nessa anymore. She has become some sort of like a doppel to him. Don't worry though. Before the end of the episode he takes Nessa back (or rather she found him) as he realized what the Fractale system truly is. All the prayers and such are just for collecting their data. Clain doesn't want to be alone anymore.

Well, this is a fast pace episode. Oh well...

Remember the freckled girl with her two sidekicks? Her name is Enri. She's back for revenge and thus Clain is once again forced or being dragged into another misadventure. She worked for her brother who I must say not looking too shabby. I kinda like him right away. He only interrogated (if you can call it that) Clain for a few minute before he lets him go. Of course, Enri with her two dumb sidekicks will have him stalked only to catch him again, this time with Nessa.

Let's take this sentence and make it out of context >=D

Also, I stand corrected at this point. Phryne is not a princess but a priestess.

Fractale touches upon very good issue I think. We always thought that we are tied down with so many things as human being: family, home, etc and wish to be freed from such burdensome relation. However, in Fractale system, nobody is tied down. To the people of Fractale, being in a same place with real people means they don't trust each other which is why Clain's parent don't live with him. We can see how lonely they are though even if they don't realized this themselves. I love the contradiction of opinions that this show presents. It kinda similar to what I felt when I was a hikikomori.

just looks at that. Gorgeous!

Once again Fractale blew me away with the beautiful background and fine details in the animation. Thank you A-1 Pictures. Thank you.

My own cherry blossoms viewing

You know how the anime are crazy about cherry blossom viewing especially in shoujo type of anime (even in Gintama and it does reminds me of Byakuya as well) and often make a big deal about hanami. Since who knows when I will get a chance to go to Japan for flower viewing, I thought I will bring Japan and hanami to me.

On my last trip to Kuala Lumpur a week ago, I was fortunate enough to find a cherry blossom for me to bring home.

Obviously I can't sit and have a picnic under the tree but hey I still got to sit in a chair besides it *chuckles*. It was calming in a way to slowly see the bud blooming so I can understand why the Japanese looking forward to it. I feel like inviting my friends over so we can watch it bloom together but unfortunately they won't get it.

My cherry blossom is the most common type of cultivated sakura: Oshimazakura with a pretty color of kanzan.

today

Somehow, I got the Chinese New Year vibe looking at the above picture. Go figure. So I guess, even though this is a tad early, I want to wish all my Chinese friends a merry Chinese New Year. It's the year of the rabbit and every time I think of rabbit, I think of usagi and every time I think of usagi, I ended up watching Sensitive Pornograph. Awesome XD

They say hanami means the Spring has comes. However, because I live in the equator area of this earth, that means shit ^__^

By the way, anyone has any idea for how long will they bloom?

I want to experience this someday :3

First Impression: Level E

From the preview, I was immediately taken by Level E because of the promise of bishounen. Besides, from the synopsis, it make this show sounds kind of unique and unique usually works for me. So without further adieu, let's do this.

The OP makes me snap my fingers in rhythm. I like it straight away. The music video for the OP is pretty neat too. I am certainly getting a good first impression from this one and definitely getting the Man In Black vibes.

Yep, definitely MIB, even the comedy are that of manzai. I lol'd which mean the show has successfully create a likable protagonist who is a baseball ace who went to Conan on scholarships. That's where he met Ki El, an alien who just crash-landed not too far away. Maybe it's true that alien are more intelligent than us human being because he possessed a witty sense of humor just from few hour of learning our language and such.

But it wasn't all about being funneh. This show has a good pace which makes the story telling seems flawless. It's telling a story without having to spell it out bluntly. I like that. It still has plots and the premise has been set in this episode. At the moment, as expected, it focuses more on Ki El and I actually was quite surprised when he revealed his true self to Yukitaka. That thing was fugly, man.

The animation was good. I'm glad that the OP sequence weren't just for show. I'm mostly impressed with the character designs and appropriately so since this is in my opinion a character driven show. I was so used with anime person looks like an anime character that I found it kinda refreshing to see that Pierrot didn't do the same with Level E. The characters feel real and relate-able.

While the OP grabs my attention almost instantly, the ED was more generic but with catchy visual-kei song. However it still has the creative animation to accompany it. The characters sound like they should, even the disturbing howl of the alien. As for the BGM, it was cleverly paced and only played when a change of mood is required.

Level E presented an interesting idea and is made with capable scriptwriter, solid animation studios, and seemingly high budget. It seemingly has the right ingredients for a great series, and so far it's off to a great start. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that they will keep this up. I'm happy to say that Level E has met and maybe exceeded my expectation. Granted it wasn't a high expectation but still I was impressed. Also, I'm looking forward for Ki El and Yukitaka fanarts =P

First Impression: Kore wa Zombie desu ka

As I have said in my preview, I wasn't really looking forward to watch this because of the magic theme until my friend told me that it is full of random goodness. That reminds me of Gintama so it kinda gets my attention. This is why I am a tad behind with the first impression post.

My friend wasn't lying. I lol'd when Aikawa Ayumu, seemingly a serious protagonist, suddenly jumped in front of a moving lorry and declared that he's a zombie. And so the randomness begin.

Lets meet the characters. We already know what Aikawa is. His housemate is Eucliwood Heelscythe, she is the necromancer that brought him back from the dead. Then he met with the magical girl Haruna. I usually loath a character like her but she brought something different to the table. With her saw and unexpected comment, I find her surprisingly tolerable, and sometimes funny. Her job is fighting Mugelo whatever the fuck that is. Unfortunately her power has been drained and transferred to Aikawa so his days of cross-dressing begin.

that's the cutest penis in pantsu I have ever seen :3
(c) mochiko

Despite the randomness, this show actually has a plot. Aikawa was murdered and he became a zombie because he wants to find his murderer. You can also see from the OP that there would probably be some fighting/action in the show. I was expecting the fight to have similar quality to the one in the OP but I was hoping too much. It was meh because the focus is obviously on the comedy.

The OP and ED were boring and the seiyuus are kinda average. I do not know any of them but then again I don't usually pay attention to female seiyuu. The arts and animations for this show have it moments but majority of the episode feels blah. As for the character designs, the team did a fine job. Each characters designs shows their personality as a person.

This show is not for those who takes their anime seriously. I on the other hand appreciate this kind of comedy. I don't see too much cliche (perhaps none) in thisone and that's good. It was unexpected and that's why I enjoyed it. After the disastrous Starry Sky and Dragon Crisis, Studio DEEN has finally managed to do something right this season.

First Impression: Hourou Musuko

I got the impression that Wandering Son pleases a lot of people. My initial thoughts were off the mark if what they saidy is true. I am stoke to see what AIC did to make this show exciting with that kind of story line.

(c) KL

The episode didn't grab my attention until they introduced themselves to the class. It was interesting I think because I learned a lot from that brief introduction. I take back what I said earlier about this show. The characters are definitely intriguing with their own layers of secret to keep us glued to our seat. I was still clueless even half way through the episode. I can't decide whether Suichi is a boy dressed as a girl or a girl dressed as a boy.

This show presents more than just entertainment. It got me thinking of the social ways of this generation. Cross-dressing seems common. I mean, no one was actually bothered when Chizuru came wearing a boy uniform and Takatsuki even wants to wear one herself. Then Shuichi went out after school wearing a girl's uniform. I'm just too confused. And if I'm not mistaken, the lady who brought Takatsuki the boy uniform is actually a man. You see what I mean? Traps every where. Through this show I see that the world is more acceptance towards women who cross-dressing as men but when it is the other way around, people started to call them names. This happens in my community and around the world. Why are we so biased? Aren't we are all the same? I can understand why Shuichi is awkward, shy and a pansy. He's under a lot of distressed because he can't actually be himself without getting judged. This kinda made me appreciate shows like Kuragehime and applauded Kuranosuke for being true to himself.

http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=143529

The end of the episode made me smile. Suichi having a wet dream is priceless. Despite wanting to be a girl, this reminds him that he's still a boy. A very healthy boy at that :3

Hourou Musuko gotta be the best animated show of the season. Everything is in motions: the trees, people, cars, etc. I can see the effort that was put into making this show and I appreciate that. I want to convey my highest gratitude to the team for making me enjoy this show so much because of the little details. Even though initially it was kinda hard to differentiate one character from the other except from physical thing like the hair color or megane, I have grown accustomed to it be the end of the episode.

I am a fan of the J-Rock OP. I am kinda grateful about the choice of song actually. We've had enough dance/moe OP to last till Armageddon. Same goes for the ED. I feel like it has been a while since I am served with something this consistent. This show reminds me the feeling of watching earlier shows in the 90's. Quality shit this is. I love it. I might not know any of the seiyuu but kudos to them for doing a good job. I see the personality of each characters shine through because of their voices.

This is awesome. I feel strangely fulfilled.

First Impression: Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne

The title is a mouth full, just like Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. I like to believe that this show is a parody of OreImou and made fun of that shit but I have my reservation. After all, just look at the list of shitty shows they produced this season >>

I don't even care about the twin tail and Ojou-sama

*sigh*

I know it was too good to be true. Fuck, I hate this kind of crap. I like my incest sometimes but this is unacceptable. Why must they go don't the fucking cliche route? Hmm, come to think of it, why am I so picky about incest? Incest is incest no matter what right? So why can I tolerate some incest (Baka to Test, Yosuga no Sora) and hate the rest (OreImou, SisXsis). This is a question that I need to ponder on.

Maybe because Nao is a tsundere. The reason why I can accept Sora's incestship is because she's honest with her feeling and doesn't act all tsun and dere about it. I'm the kind of person who is always honest with my feelings so I expect my characters to do the same. A little childish maybe but that's how my brain works.

Also, what the fuck is up with the penguins. Fucking morons. This show has enough craps as it is. It isn't that ecchi to bother with censorship like that. Adopted daughter? So they are going that route to make the incestship legal *facepalm*.

Nao is seriously disturbing as a character with brother complex. I said so because I can picture a real person doing that to his/her sister/brother. She wasn't even sad with the fact that her real parent are dead but rejoiced because she can now get married to her onii-chan. Seriously? The little things she does, like smelling her brother tee was just creepy. My corrupted brain begin imagining her fapping to her brother undergarment. I don't want that picture in my head, I'm telling you!

The character designs aren't my favorite. It reminds me of Cartoon Network's cartoon in a bad way. The animation was average and nothing else stand out about this show. I found the story annoying and so this is the last time I'm watching this shit.

Light Writings: Love

My heart has been racing all day. The face of the person I love(d) keeps flashing in my mind's eye. It annoys the fuck out of me. Then I made a mistake of watching a Korean drama that I know will piss me off. Now I can't stop thinking about love, or the act of loving someone or be loved in return because obviously all Korean drama is centered around romance and they always have cliched ending. Fuck I hate that.

uguuu~
http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=217514

So here I am ranting about love from what I know and understand. But first let me tell you what people around me think of me, just so you have a better understanding how my mind works because even my closest friends seem to not know how it works. They are usually in awe because I always seems nonchalant about it, which is just a facade.

I love listening to people. I am good at it. I am even better at giving out advices. I am not exactly a certified person to solve anyone's problems but my friends kinda take it for granted and come to me when they have problems, most often than not, it has something to do with love, relationship or marriage. I always told them that it is irony that they are seeking my advice when I fucked up all my relationships. They don't seem to mind so I just told them what I think in regards to their problems. It wasn't necessarily an advice but they took it upon themselves to use it as one. Well, they can do whatever they fucking want. Miraculously, it often works to their favor so they keep coming back.

Fine. I don't mind. But sometimes it is a tad tiring. Some of them just love to create drama and caused hell to break loose. I smacked them and told them to fuck off. Seriously, why do you do things that will hurt your love one? It just doesn't make sense. I mean, shouldn't you be grateful to have someone who loves you in return? Jeebus, I swear people are fucking morons sometimes.

That includes me.

My problem is I can't say no. When my bestfriend said he likes me, I didn't have the heart to say that I didn't have any feelings for him. So we dated. I broke off with him twice in the span of four years we were together. I created hell for him on earth. I never treated him as the person I dated. The truth is I want him to remain as my bestfriend and nothing more. I know this from day one but because I can't say no, I made us endure four years of misery. Our relationship ended when he proposed to me. I facepalmed. I mean, after all I have done he still wanted to marry me? What is he? A masochist? LOL

After a year, I realized that he really did love me. And I did all those fucked up things because in my own twisted way, I did love him. I know for a fact that he won't be happy if we indeed ended up married to each other. I would treated him badly and I would be bitter to him and blame him for my unhappiness. Now he's married and I know I did the right thing even though it hurts him back then. He and I remain as best friend. My wish was granted.

I have only been in love once. My friends won't believe this because I don't actually talk to people about my feelings. They don't bother asking because from the outside, I don't seem to have a problem. I was in quite a number of open relationships which I ended when 2011 came so they must assumed that I'm quite loose when it comes to my feelings. They were dead wrong but meh who cares of what they think anyway?

Maybe because I have always wanted the extraordinary kind of love, I find it tiring when people told me that they like/love me. I usually get depressed when they did that because I feel obligated to return their feelings. I find no thrills in that. I try hard to avoid cliche ending to my love life. It's hard. Oh fuck it's hard.

So what is love? Well, I do not like making myself emotionally vulnerable. That's what love feels to me. I like to be in control of my emotions which is why I find it rather annoying when I started to feel lonely and unconsciously let my heart do the thinking. That's a tell tale sign that I am in love. Love is selfless. Some people think that being in love with someone means that you have to make them yours, by hook or by crook. I disagree. For me, being in love with someone means that I want the person that I am in love with live a happy life, even if I'm not included in that life of his. To be loved in return is everyone's dream but I often think it's suffocating. Like I said, I value my freedom emotionally and physically but people often will claim ownership once they are in a relationship. I don't think that's healthy. Or maybe it was just my defense mechanism activated. Maybe that's why I don't get jealous too.

To tell you the truth, I am in love at the moment although it is more like being in love with thin air. I ended a relationship few months ago. That's why I'm writing this tl;dr post. I realized that all my life, I have always been in love with this person ever since I was 15. That's half of my life span damn it. He has been my first in many things. We have gone through hell and back with different people. He even more so than I but because of circumstances, we had to call it off. I was slightly sad I guess because it's one relationship that I took seriously. Perhaps this is why the feeling of that love still lingers.

My friends don't understand this at all. For one, I wasn't mad when it ended. They thought I should be. To me, it just feel like we weren't fated to be together so why get frustrated for the things that is out of our control? Second, I treated him as friend first so despite our fall out we still remain as friends. This is another thing that my friends get mad at me about. Oh well, I guess I can't help it. He's a jerk after all. Third, I didn't go through the depressed mode at all so my friends doubted that I really was in love and assumed that it wasn't anything serious. I just don't tell them how sad I was. I was hoping they read between the lines and get the hint. I was hoping for too much.

So now that I have so much love to give, I don't know who to share it with which kinda melancholic. The question now is whether I will have my non-cliche ending or will I succumb to the pressure of life?

To be continued.

First Impression: Fractale

After all the crappy shit I've watched this season, I was really looking forward to Fractale because of two reasons. Reason number is because this show is produced by A-1 Pictures. In case you are dumb, A-1 Pictures is my favorite studio production when it comes to anime. The second reason is because this show is featured in noitaminA slot that only aired quality anime.

As to what the story is about, I have no clue whatsoever so I was taken aback when I saw aliens (I learned afterward that they are called doppel. Must be a derivation from doppelganger) talking to Clain. I thought that that was his imagination. I was surprised, pleasantly so. It's different and unexpected. That is definitely something that makes me intrigued. Different is good when it's done right.

Apparently Fractale is a man-made system of the 22nd century where there's no war. People don't need to work as they received equal and basic income. This to make them content and live comfortably. Clain is pretty much one of the content people of Fractale until he met Phryne. She came and was gone from Clain's life in an instant but left quite an impact on him which is why Clain decided to set out looking for her. His only clue is the charm she left behind that turned out to be Nessa.

The story is definitely unique, just like the characters. Well, Clain is pretty plain but the other characters make up for what he's lacking. Phryne is adventurous, Nessa is undetermined while the freckled face girl with her two sidekicks provide unsuspected comedy. The characters in Fractale do not lack in personalities.

Somehow Fractale reminds me of Ghibli's movies. I got mixed vibes of Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa the Valley of the Wind and Laputa. I felt strongly about it when Phryne debuted in that flying gears of hers.

Yutaka Yamamoto has done a good job directing this one. I might be biased since he directed Kannagi and certain episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star among many others but yes, he sure has quality. I love the camera angle on certain scenes (like when Phryne was riding the flying gears and looking down at Clain) and the overall fluid feel of the animation. Credits to the production team as well. Some scenes looks like it comes from a painting. In terms of character designs, it's definitely has that feeling of not from this world. It sort of like we are watching something from an alternate world. It has that oldskool charisma about it which was why I compared it with the Ghibli's movies. Having said that, I do think that it looks different from the manga. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing though because in this case, I actually they looks better animated.

ain't that pretty?

I love the psychedelic feel of the OP. Not sure about the OP itself though but given time I'm sure it will grow on me. It's different with the ED though because I like it right away. It gives this medieval vibe that got me hooked. The BGM is nice as well. It certainly plays it roles to set up the mood. Excellent. As for the seiyuu, I'm not sure why they picked Yuu Kobayashi to voice Clain because sometimes it made me forget that Clain is a boy. Maybe they wanted that adolescence effect on him. If that's true, then it kinda make sense. Minami Tsuda was good as Phryne but it wasn't an outstanding performance. Not yet anyway.

So needless to say, I enjoyed this show fucking lots. A-1 Pictures did it again :3

First Impression: Dragon Crisis

I am not a fan of Rie Kugumiya so after I saw people’s reactions for this show through twitter and such, I kinda have a reservation about watching it now. However, it would be foolish to form my opinion based on what others have seen. I need to see it for myself thus here I am watching Dragon Crisis despite that I’m bored with the fact that it’s the same kinda shit that I’ve seen so far for Winter 2010/11.

I already know that I am probably end up not liking this show because of the stereotype character that Rie Kugumiya played. Unsurprisingly, I was right. Then there was Etou who secretly loves Ryuji. Ryuji himself is an average student who miraculously has all these hot girls wanting to get into his pantsu, including the jiggling boobs of his cousin, Eriko. Yada yada yada the same old shit.

If this doesn't annoy you, something is wrong

Eriko created a Seven Tail whatever fucked up organization and forced Ryuji to be her assistant. It’s about getting Lost Precious shit or something. They stole a bag from the bad guy and accidentally opened it. Lo and behold, a girl with golden lock came out. She seems to know Ryuji and possessed massive power. She’s going to rape Ryuji silly, just you wait and see.

At first, when Ryuji was in the train, I thought the animation was pretty decent but towards the end of the episode, nothing really stands out. The fanservice doesn’t make it any better either. By the way, all male students look kind of the same, don’t they? Even Ryuji, our protagonist does not stand out. I dunno whether it is a good thing or not. I found it rather infuriating when an average guy like him can get whichever girl he chooses. That is so unreal. I am not a fan of the female characters designs either. Big boobs just don’t work for me and Rose was just too aggravating for me to pay any attention to. As for Etou, she’s forgettable.

My complains don’t stop there. I knew right away that the seiyuu for Ryuji is Hiro Shimono. As usual, the role fits which kinda make it worse I think because so far I found all the characters annoying, even more so when it comes to the dragon girl voiced by Rie Kugumiya. She reminds me of Inoue when she was on Kurosaki-kun chant mode. Fuck, that made me rage. The OP and ED made me yawn, literally. At least the ED doesn’t seem to be too forgettable though.

I can’t say that I enjoy this show. I don’t hate it but I can’t wait for the episode to be over with. It just annoys the fuck out of me. I don’t think I’ll be watching the rest of the episodes. This one ends here unless someone can change my mind by presenting some great facts about why I should continue watching Dragon Crisis. I doubt they can.

Diary of a tard: Week 2, January 2011

I was pretty busy this week, what's with me doing sexy baking, work, traveling and other shit. I only managed to watch a few of the new season's anime. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. You can see what I've watched here.

As usual, the only manga that I have time to catch up with is Bleach. Nothing much is happening except that we have re-established the fact that Ichigo is indeed a bishie :D

And that's it for my diary this week.

I'm not happy at all. I need to watch more anime or I'll go into depressed mode >>

Bleach: Chapter 433

After two weeks of nothing, naturally I'm looking forward for the first ever chapter of Bleach in 2011. By the way, there are rumors going around that Bleach will end in Spring. I'm not so sure about that because from what I have read in the past, this current arc is about 6 months and then there will be a new arc that will last for about 2 years. I sure hope that it will not end this soon. I can't imagine my life without Bleach chapter to look forward to every week.

Anyway, back to the chapter. Looks like Chad has opted for a goatee. He sure looks old now. But that besides the point. The point is Ginjou further explained to Ichigo of what his plan is. He explained why hollows have holes to replaced their missing hearts and that all the Xcutioners members have something in common which is the lost of their moms because of hollows even before they were born. In other words, Ichigo isn't the only one who was born from a human and a shinigami.

And damn, I was totally screwed up with my theory.

I mean, I seriously thought they want more powers but instead they want to give Ichigo all of their powers. Awww, this makes them a good guy then and whadda ya know, surprisingly they know of Ichigo's family history as well. At least Ginjou knows that Ichigo has a normal parent and a shinigami.

Err... wait a sec. I thought Masaki was special. Didn't Aizen said so himself? She can't possibly be just another "normal" human being. Or was she? Damn with this inconsistency.

But this is a fun fact. This makes all the different, actually. Now Ichigo and Rukia can makes babies and not worry about it. A relationship is possible despite one is dead and the other isn't. Heh, awesome as fuck.

Conclusions for this chapter are:

  1. Ichigo will help the Xcutioners
  2. Ichigo is a bishie

Like Chester said, that's practically me.

I like Riruka now :3 and despite the fact that she likes Ichigo, I don't feel threaten at all. I know she doesn't hold a candle to Rukia.

And those who do not acknowledge that Ichigo is a bishie need to have their eyes and brain checked because he clearly is one. And if you are a male who do not acknowledge this fact, your opinion is rejected!

First Impression: Beelzebub

Personally, this is one of the anticipated shows for winter just because I am reading the manga and I expect good things from it. On the other hand, I tend to stop watching shounen anime half way through because I got distracted by other anime or was simply too busy to catch up to the many episodes. It happens with Soul Eater and Fairy Tail although I still watch them occasionally when I'm in the mood.

Since I know what to expect from Beelzebub, I will be more critical when it comes to the adaptation. If they do this the shitty way, I will probably not going to watch it for the sake of shounen alone. But then again, I like Oga so maybe, just maybe, I'm gonna ignore the shortcomings of this one. I have to remember one thing though. This one is from Studio Peirrot. I shouldn't have high hopes for it.

I shouldn't explain what this show is about I guess since most of us already know the story from reading the manga and synopsis. What I'm doing here however is just pointing out some stuff about the show.

1. I know the manga has some comedy in it but the anime has totally took the comedy to a different level. This kinda reminds me of Gintama except that it can never be that awesome and should grovel down to one of the best anime of the decade.

2. Just like the comedy, they kinda over did it with the electricity shit as well. Or is that how it was in the manga too? I've stop reading after I learn that the anime is going to be released. Maybe I should really stick with the manga.

3. One thing doesn't change though. The baby is just as annoying as I remember him to be. I can't wait for him to grow up :3

4. Now that I've seen Furuichi got animated, I like him. He reminds me of Shinpachi, always the voice of reasons.

5. You know who would be perfect seiyuu for Oga? Sugita Tomokazu. Unfortunately, it's not so I'm just gonna be contented and pretend it was Sugita. Besides, Sugita does play a role in this one as Kanzaki. So it's all good.

Am I going to watch the next episode? Yes, I am. Was I impressed? No, I am not.

First Impression: Wolverine

After the phailure of Ironman, I have some reservation for Wolverine as well. I'm afraid that Madhouse will phail me again with the same shit they did with Ironman. When I saw how bishie Logan turned out, I couldn't help myself but laughed out loud at the atrocity of this whole adaptation thingy. Right now, I really think that Madhouse should just let the Americans do their things and stick to what they do best. If this continues, I'm afraid of what might happened to Supernatural. I really hope it is as awesome as the trailer otherwise I'm so gonna rage.

this is perfect
(c) mitsuka yuuya

You know what's even more annoying than having a bishie Logan who looks like a fag? A romantic bishie Logan who looks like a fucking fag. No offense to the gay men out there. I mean, yeah sure he has a thing for Jean Mariko but dammit, at least do it with some class. Gah, listens to me complaining and it's less than 2 minutes in. Oh boy this is going to be quite a ride. They better make up for it with great actions. I expect nothing less than that otherwise this one goes to the recycle bin and will be permanently deleted.

I said that he's a romantic fag, wasn't I? I didn't expect that the story will actually revolve on his love life. Jeebus, and it wasn't even a good story. It was fucking cliche. Dating your enemy's daughter who engaged to a douche? That's so 90's.

This show has nice instrumental OP. Same with the ED, which I think is pretty epic and captured the essence of the show. What I like most however is the BGM. Unfortunately, I don't care about music to get me to stick around. I don't know any of the seiyuu either. The character designs, arts and animation are typical of Madhouse. I don't like it but I usually ignored it because the interesting story they cooked up for me.

However, I am still unsure about this show. The action during the sword fight was decent but meh I wasn't blown away. I think I will watch another episode and see if Yukio can change my mind. If not for her, I would have dropped this and be done with it. I expect Yukio to deliver.

First Impression: Yumekui Merry

After the dullness of Gosick and the retarded Rio: Rainbow Gate!, I am obviously disappointed with the winter release so far and can't wait to see Fractale. I said I want to avoid this show when I wrote my winter preview so I'm watching this first episode to satisfy my curiosity when a friend said he likes it (albeit only giving it a C).

(c) chiba tsuru

Yumekui Merry is produced by JC Staff so it wasn't surprising that the female protagonist has almost the same character traits like almost the rest of JC Staff's female protagonists: a DFC tsundere. I may or may not have a problem with that but at the moment I'm focusing on the male protaginist. I ended up liking him when I saw the OP and think that this show isn't too bad after all. Even more so when I saw him fighting bunch of cats with stick. I thought that was cute.

Yumeji is an aspiring novelist who has the ability to see the color of dreams. He has been having the same nightmares about cat since forever and understandably, he isn't too keen about it. One day, Nightmare Merry literally fall on his lap (very cliche) and that's how they met. Being around Merry (or her belongings) made him having the nightmare even when he is wide awake. The reason for the nightmare is because the big boss of those cats named Chaser John Doe (I giggled) want to use his body as a vessel or something. What I know is, Chaser wants to go to the real world and is using Yumeji for that while Merry wants to go back to the dream world and is using Chaser for that. I wasn't paying attention.

One thing that really stands out for me is the art and animation. I like the character designs (obviously because of the bishie) except for the coat that Merry is wearing. I think it was outrageous. The backgroud is definitely one of the most unique background I've seen, especially when it comes to the dream world. Credits should be given to the team. I guess one for Shigeyasu Yamauchi as well for directing this well although I do found some parts (like Merry meeting Chaser) a bit too cliche with the speech and shit.

The ED sucks. I don't like that kind of music so it doesn't work for me. I'm getting more familiar with Nobuhiko Okamoto's work. So far he's doing a decent job with Yumeji. This is also a debut performance for Ayane Sakura. I wasn't impressed but then again, I always think that female seiyuu are forgettable except for a few that I like.

In the end, I think the synopsis for this show didn't do justice. I'm glad I pick this up and was proved wrong. This is one of the reasons why I always check out the new show every season because I need to see it to conclude my final thoughts on the shows. Besides, shows produced by JC Staff should be decent enough to watch if nothing else. The same with this one. It was the most interesting show I've seen so far. But I'm gonna watch this for a different reason. I just love all the bishies in this show especially Ijima sensei. I want a teacher like that too :3

First Impression: Gosick

The OP of Gosick definitely got me excited. Looking at the characters designs, I was impressed and immediately like the male protagonist. This opinion, of course, will change immediately as well if he turns out to be a wuzz. I predict the goth girl to be a typical tsundere. Just throwing the idea out there.

The start of the episode shows some old whacked job lady sprouting some prophecy nonsense about a boy who will cause the end of the world. To stop this, she told the villagers to sacrifice 11 hares. So it was a pretty bloody and gore start for Gosick. I'm not complaining. This just might be my cup of tea.

That's two good points in a row.

(c) takeda hinata

Kujo Kazuya is the male protagonist that I referred to earlier. Everyone at school avoided him and called him a "dark reaper" for some reason. Apparently he's not from Saobure but was sent there to further his study. Guess what? I changed my mind because he did turn out to be a fucking wuzz. Damn it for false hope. I was right about the Victorique (that's the name of the goth girl) too.

They met in some sort of arboretum where they also met Grevil de Blois. A fitting name for a guy who has a giga drill breaker for a quiff. I almost forgot that this is the parody for Sherlock Holmes. It's hard to take this seriously with sidekick like Kujo, police officer like Grevil and an over-zealous teacher with megane as big as her boobs. Besides, when Grevil told the story of the murder, even I can conclude that the maid was the murderer even before Victorique told him so since the old lady obviously died from a gun shot to her left eye. Jeebus.

Thankfully the gore stuffs are pretty gore. I like that part a lot.

So... basically Kujo is boring, not meant to be a leader type of guy. He could used the lift but instead opt to climb thousand staircases instead. I called that dumb. Victorique is smart (duh) but totally unsociable and Grevil got all the credits from her hardwork of solving cases, not that she mind but Kujo won't let it slide and took it upon himself to interfere with her life. I guess she was thankful for that since thanks to him, she got to experience the outside world now. And thus the trio were created and the story started.

Aoi Yuuki is definitely suited for Victorique role. She has done many similar characters before: Mina Tepes, Murasaki Kuhouin, Korone and Noel Kannagi to name a few (I was surprised to find out that she did Shinra). As for the other seiyuu, I'm not really familiar with any of them. That's another word for me to say that they are forgettable.

The ED is kinda dark and mysterious to match the theme of the show. After a few minutes, I realized that I can't remember how it sounds like. Same with the OP though I do remember the MV so it wasn't so bad I guess, just forgettable, like the seiyuus. LOL

My verdict for the first impressions is this: it was average at best. There's nothing really stands out about the characters, animation, story and sound. Having said that, if you want an anime to watch, this is a trillion times better than Rio: Rainbow Gate! I might watch this or might dropped it after few episodes. We'll see.
